I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Maintenance does not respond to your work orders in a timely matter at all and it’s clear they do not care about their job. There needs to be updates to the apartments yet they’re charging more rent. The floor creeky and feels as though there’s lumps underneath you; there’s always a disgusting smell in the hallways that get into your apartment among other things.

I think the communication to residents via text on maintenance issues is outstanding. My non-emergency issue seems to be taking much longer than expected. I understand there are many residents in the complex that may also have work orders in so I'm going to be patient .

I’ve spread my word on various rental sites, left messages for the corporate office, tried reasoning with office staff, it’s no use. Nothing getting fixed/repaired timely, Spiders are still invading my unit and no one is helping, when it rains hard-water seeps through the cracks in the brick foundation and into my living room, can not open my living room window because it doesn’t have a screen, maintenance request are completely ignored or marked “completed” when I haven’t even been contacted about the issue.

I like this community. Everyone I've encountered has been mostly friendly. Most staff are friendly as well. I love the location and how management keep you in the loop if there are any circumstances you need to be aware of via text or email.

Literally woke up with over 50 big and small spider bites all over my body. I let management know, I was told someone comes and sprays every Wednesday. How am I continuously getting bit then? I contacted corporate, no response. Week 4, someone FINALLY came after I had to beg. Guy did an extremely, poor and mediocre spray job, like he had an attitude. Now I have to throw my whole mattress away. Maintenance is absolute trash, 0 value to residents.

The community is average so far after almost two months in. It’s not too loud in my building and the people I’ve come in contact with are nice; The grass, the parking lot, the park(s) and the pool are well kept! However there is only one washer and one dryer for my entire building. Besides that, my gas was cut off for 3 days after management informed everyone of emergency shutoff of gas, but did not counterbalance for the fact people was out hot water and a stove for 3 days. When management was contacted to see what can be done, I was informed to ask DTE, even though the message was from management at Loop Apartments and then I was told to write a letter if I felt it was an issue with not having hot water or a stove for 3 days. Lastly, first time paying rent, the new electronic way, was a disaster because of one specific piece of information management did not tell me and was “Not” listed on the paper given on the Move-in day. After it was communicated properly and the issue was fixed, I had no issues and I have no real issues at this moment.

Nice local area where everything is close by. Only downsides are it's located on a relatively busy road, maintenance can take a little long to acknowledge problems, and in my experience, the mystery of HUGE water bill that doesn't reflect the amount of water we've always been using that has doubled since we moved.

Made multiple maintenance requests for a ceiling leak which has now caused mildew. All request were ignored. Heat works when it wants to. Loud neighbors. Oak Park police are frequently in and out. Heat also makes a ticking a ticking noise as if it’s about to completely go out. Apartment was supposed to be “move-in ready” but it was no near that. Sticky stuff on the carpet and hardwood floors. Carpet was stained and hard in some spots. Lights weren’t changed. All of these problems for the price a month is ridiculous. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The Loop has been a very adequate home for me for the last 2 years. It's in an excellent neighborhood. The maintenance team is responsive and the leasing office does a good job trying to accommodate my needs. It's hard to find a competent landlord these days...The Loop does a pretty good job.

The apartments are decent. I wish I wouldve did my research before just moving in!!! Walls are very thin, you hear everything and people conversation. Dont feel like I should be paying all this rent when my apartment was not completely renovated at move in!

The Loop is an average apartment in every way. The quality of other apartments make The Loop seem bearable and people will accept that. No door buzzers, limited pool and gym hours, bugs/ants everywhere, and mold due to poor ventilation in the bathroom is one of the many easy fix issues that makes it frustrating to be a resident

I’ve been here for a year & a half and i will NOT be renewing my lease. Maintenance is a 3rd party so good luck with getting anything fixed. Our shower head has been broken for 4 days now so i literally drive to my moms house and I’ve called everyday about it. Im paying rent here and i feel like i should be able to enjoy my own utilities. We were supposed to be on the 3rd floor but in “their notes” they had our request as the 1st floor, the washing machine was broken for WEEKS and I had to call the 3rd party to come out to fix it because the leasing office does not handle ANYTHING, they put notices on your door without even knocking or following up via email. The closet doors of my apartment have been hanging off the hinges since we moved in. Oh and they lost our initial repair check in slip that was returned the day of move in. I HATE it here! Oh and gym hours are 10am-5pm so if you work 9-6 like me good luck enjoying those amenities as well!

I Love my home, I've been here almost 5 years. Anytime I have a concern it is taken care of in a timely manner. The Entire Staff has Always treated me Nice. I would recommend The Loop on Greenfield to a Friend or Family!

Overall the apartment is a good place to live. I have been a resident for 4 years.
This is my first experience with apartment life and I had some idea of what to expect going in and other things that have been new to me. To begin, some positives about this place include the location, as it’s close to the expressway, grocery stores and where I lived before, so the move was easy. The leasing office was also very pleasant and responsive during the process, especially since I moved in during the pandemic. Next, my studio is clean and updated and the condition of the apartment itself is good. The rent is reasonable too, for what you get. Some negatives include very creaky floors above me, more so being on the bottom level. In addition, the walls are thinner than I expected. People tend to blast music or are loud deep into the night. Sometimes it’s quiet all the way until you’re about to fall asleep then the music comes on, people start yelling or the tv is up high. However, during the day I’m at work but when I’m not, it’s typically quiet in my building, which is nice. The boiler heat was new to me and runs constantly, in which I have to open the window during the winter because it’s too hot. I haven’t been here that long and have already seen cop cars multiple times as well. Lastly, it does smell like cheap weed often. Taking the pros and cons together, overall it’s a good place. Just a stepping stone for me though.

Though living in close proximity to others can result in some occasional external noise, we do enforce community noise policies and we are available to speak with residents about any concerns they encounter. Unfortunately, crime can happen anywhere at any time, but our team does work closely with local law enforcement with necessary. We're glad to know that your experience has been a positive one overall and hope you'll let us know if there is anything that our team can help you with in the future.
I would not recommend living here to anyone. The office staff is short, rude, and callous. The maintenance staff seems to move at a snails pace, and won't fix a thing until it is literally completely useless and broken. The rent rates are very high for what you get, as are the utilities. I have never had to pay $70 /month for water usage before.
Pet friendly place to live, very quiet and the neighbors are nice.
Everything was fantastic- until they switched to a new manager and everything became disorganized. We were promised a smoke free home due to our children, and when they switched to a new manager... they forgot which buildings were smoke free and which weren’t. We lived here three years until the new manager came around. When we called them out on that, they lied about how we were never told thy his building was smoke free. CARS ARE ALSO CONSTANTLY BEING STOLEN!! Not only that, but we just tried to go to the pool and they told us we couldn’t go in because we didn’t have a key fob that we were never given in our 3 years of living here.
Their security is a joke. Cars are constantly being stolen, the cops are consistently outside responding to some kind of commotion, and the leasing office is super shady and manipulative. They’ll say anything to get you sign your name on the contract and rent, they have no qualms anout lying.
I’ve lived here for almost a year now and I absolutely love it here! I will be renewing my lease for sure! The whole process of moving into my apartment was great and the staff was so helpful. The maintenance is amazing and whenever I need something fixed it’s super fast! This is a great place to live and I really recommend it!
Inside of my apartment was beautiful. I loved the new kitchen cabinets, carpet, bedroom size, living room size, flooring, and bathroom interior. I loved that heat, gas, water, and tradh are included in the rent but the issues begin to surface as soon as you settle into the place. The walls are extremely thin to the point that you can hear your neighbors pee, cough, snore, and talk. Sleeping with headphones helped me deal. The floors are extremely squeaky so if your neighbors walk, it will sound like they are breaking through the ceiling when they aren't. Bats and rats are a problem that they need to address. There were rats running around outside and one got into the building. Somehow, bats got in my apartment even though all my windows were closed. One of the ladies at the front office is always rude and misplacing your things. People have broken into people’s apartments. So, be careful if you are on bottom floor as people have broken windows to try to steal and neighbors have stolen from other neighbors so make sure you keep don’t leave packages around. The electricity has went out multiple times while i lived here. I moved and will not recommend anyone to stay here unless you just need a cheap place to stay.
I have had a very opposite experience than a review I just read. Complex is not quiet as there is frequent arguments not only in my building but in adjacent buildings you can hear when the windows are open. Usually smells like weed. Several dogs are not on leashes as other tenants let them outside...leave them to bark for extended periods of time no matter the weather. I have had at least 3 separate occasions my bathroom ceiling has leaked, the AC unit was leaking excessively during a recent storm and maintenance came and said I’m lucky it’s not as worse as other units. Washer was broken for at least a week. Not all units are updated and the unit they show you was not like the one I moved into...appliances are not as nice. Heat was rediculously hot during the winter and I often had to crack the windows and now it is off/broken when it has been cold. I hope they start to take these issues seriously.
I moved in a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier. The office staff is really friendly - they're professional, and always happy to answer any questions, and maintenance is really quick at showing up and getting repairs done. The community is clean, and seemingly mostly families so things are pretty quiet. The apartments are all totally renovated with new appliances, nice flooring, granite counter tops and modern fixtures in the kitchen. Also, the fact that the only utility I have to pay is electric is a total plus. All in all, I'm VERY pleased with my move, and I recommend you check it out!
I have been here for almost 5 months and I am so grateful for this place! I live in a studio and it’s the perfect size for me. There’s lots of closet space and the apartments also come with a storage cage which is great for putting away larger items. Maintenance is prompt and they leave a slip on your door to let you know when they come in. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The process of getting my apt was smooth and quick (within 2 weeks of being on wait list). My neighbors are quiet, friendly people. I can hear the kids screaming or running around or a dog barking sometimes but other than that I’m not bothered by late night noise or music. The renovations are great; not top quality but it looks aesthetically pleasing and all my appliances are new. I feel safe here. The only thing I don’t like is having my car uncovered. Other than that there is plenty of parking. Overall, I love living here! It’s also in a great location; next to 696 and central to Metro Detroit.
I’ve waiting over a month for small things to be fixed . My Floors bubble up , Tub was peeling , apartment entrance door has been kicked in 2 times within 2 months . And Property manager doesn’t want me to break my lease . I have had it with this apartment my building I can speak for and I don’t like it will not be resigning my lease .

In both incidences regarding the entrance door it was repaired and secured within hours of it being reported to the maintenance department. We apologize about your tub peeling, however we did have it re-glazed and the bubbling floors were addressed by our outside contractor within days of it being reported. We do understand that these incidences are frustrating, however, we strive to provide fast and efficient service and respond to issues as soon as they are reported. My roommate and I have lived at the Loop for almost 7 months now, which may not seem too long but we’ve really enjoyed it! Any time we’ve had any problems the office and maintenance staff has been there to help. I also love going to get my packages from the office and seeing people who are all friendly and make me feel welcome. Haven’t had any big issues at all, the place is clean and nice, we are very happy to be here!
I moved into the Loop about a year ago. This has been the WORST apartment complex i have ever lived in and i am pretty young. I would never recommend anybody live here, they do not care about you and when you call maintaince to get things fixed they’ll just leave a note on your door that something needs to be replaced in order for it to be fixed and they never come fix it. They try to scam you out of your money by telling you one price in the beginning and then trying to say another price at the end. A lot of bugs in the apartments on the first floor and neighbors are very loud at all hours of the night and when we said something to the Leasing office they did NOTHING. I can not wait to move out of here and go somewhere much better where they treat you like the individual you are. I warned you .. Don’t move here!!
