The first thing you'll probably notice about Downtown Olympia is its large, impressive murals -- these bright, colorful works of art adorn the sides of several buildings. Walk along the wide, tree-lined sidewalks and you'll discover charming shops and restaurants contained in those historic brick buildings. Head toward Puget Sound and admire the sailboats, yachts, and fishing boats dotting the water and lining the marina.
As a hub for artists and musicians, Downtown Olympia has a style and flavor all its own. Enjoy the beautiful, serene views from Heritage Park or the stunning backdrop of the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier. Downtown is home to the Farmers Market, the Hands On Children's Museum, eight public parks, five theaters, and a twice-a-year art walk.

Property Ratings at The Lurana - Waterfront Property
Extreme construction at all hours of the day. Lots of tenants coming and going due to issues with apartments. Wait until the construction is complete in 2023 to move in. No mail room. No gym. Very difficult to live here.
Property Manager at The Lurana - Waterfront Property, Responded To This Review
The Lurana Apartments Building is built on the corner of the Percival Waterfront Landing and State Ave. That area has been waiting to be developed for years! The locals talk about it as the “old Les Schwab “ spot. The vacant corner across the street is under construction right now, and it is exciting to see the growth. All the footings have been installed, the concrete structure is complete and framing is about to commence. Construction is likely to be ongoing for about an additional 12 months. A few of the apartments look directly onto that construction, but as the manager, we clearly communicate that during our showings. The majority of the construction occurs during normal working hours and therefore is not disruptive at night or during weekends. The Lurana is a 44 unit boutique apartment unit, so does not have a separate mail room or gym, which is not uncommon for buildings of this size. However, the charm of the building and the location is the proximity to Olympia’s beautiful waterfront and some of the best restaurants in town. We have a secure bike room that is full of bikes and a great community where one of our tenants bought an air compressor for all the bike lovers to use on their own bikes and equipment. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me directly.
The views are beautiful but for the price the building amenities and support is atrocious. No gym, no mailroom (anything that is delivered is thrown on the floor in the lobby in front of the glass doors for anyone on the street to see), the building access is by key only no fobs or scanning system which means if anyone ever loses the building key they have to rekey every tenant, no building security cameras so good luck if anything happens to you or your property. If you report anything to the building manager they just say they aren't responsible and ignore you. I dont know if this is the norm for Olympia or all of the buildings Urban Management Olympia manage but it is grossly mismanaged and chaotic.
