Property Ratings at The Lynx
Since United Apartment Group has take over this property, the service and maintenance of the amenities we pay for have completely disappeared. The dog stations are never stocked and are falling apart. There are “doggie bombs” everywhere and it smells like it. If you have dogs, this is a major health concern. And if you don’t have dogs, this is a major health concern. The water was turned off for months in the dog park! And now the dog wash is broken. So if you’re reading their list of amenities and the dog wash is a perk to you, not a single resident has been able to use it in 6 months. The gym is not only filthy but they have not restocked sanitary wipes in months, regardless of me repeatedly asking. It’s getting disgusting. They mark service requests as complete when they haven’t even looked at, let alone serviced what was requested. Like my dryer, because that could never be potentially hazardous, right? Don’t even get me started on the gates or the weird crime rate that’s gone up. A ring doorbell is your friend here. I LOVED living in this complex, I mean this sincerely. Used to recommend this place to anyone looking in the area, now I hesitate. As of late I find myself frustrated in my own home. Even after speaking with the office it seems like this is above their heads as most of these concerns are supposed to be regulated by their maintenance team. This place has potential if they could get all of their ducks in row, but as of now every week they are slipping further and further from the “luxury apartment” life style they advertise, be sure to keep that in mind before signing a “luxury apartment” lease. Really hoping that the property director can get this place back up to par before it all goes to hell in a handbasket.

This property has gone downhill and the furthest thing from “luxury “ living. The property management is non existent
Good luck if you move here. The management is unkind, they do not know how to talk to people unless they are trying to sign new renters, and the value is not great for the money. Current renters are throwaways for these property managers. It's all fake. I was hoping it would be different and I am sad I resigned my lease. Trust that I will not be back.
There’s tons of (about 200 or more) bees that the apartment has failed to fix after weeks now.

I am so fed up with the management at this place! This is one of the worst managed properties I had lived in 16 years! When I moved in my dishwasher was broken, It took 3 months to put the new one in. My washer was leaking when I started it for the first time and flooded the kitchen. Guy who came to install blinds left screws and nails on my bed and on the floor and damaged my curtains. We are paying a fee for amenities which we cannot use because they are only open during the office hours so in the summertime pool and gym were closed on Sundays and every day at 6pm. I work a full-time job and cannot use these amenities within these specific time frames. There supposed to be the internet in the lobby/gym however it doesn't work. When I addressed this issue, I was told that this is a courtesy. So another scam. It supposed to be a dog friendly community and we are required to pick up after our pets yet, the pet stations are usually overflowing and there are no bags. The gym just got closed again due to damage caused by the freeze and broken pipes, yet nobody bothered to let us know. And again, we are still paying for it! Geralyn doesn't care at all about us as a community. Several of us brought to her attention issues at the dog park like broken water fountain which was 4 months ago and the lightbulb which again was probably 5 months ago. Still haven't been fixed. There is an aggressive dog on property which a lot of neighbors reported to her the issues we had and yet she still hasn't done anything about it. Our friend's house was flooded during the freeze. Geralyn told her to move out even though she already has paid her rent and signed a lease. So this single mother is forced to live in the damaged apartment with holes in the walls and black mold growing everywhere. Geralyn has not lifted a finger to make repairs in her unit. There are other 2 bedrooms available which she could move our friend to, but instead she took all of them of the availability list. But the office and gym get a renovation right away. I can keep going, this list is long. The people here are great and stick together and help each other out. But the management should be changed immediately! When I tried to post a message on the community website it wasn’t approved by a manager. I don’t know what is the point of this message board when management only picks what fits them best and block others. We are paying a lot of money for this apartments and we do not get the service we deserve.

I loved at the marquis for a year and a half and had a great experience. During my move out process there was some miscommunication about the timeline that was going to cause me to pay another months rent, after taking with property management they were very helpful. We worked towards a compromise and I am very grateful.
I’ve lived at the Marquis at Clear Lake for over 2 years now. The first year was really wonderful. Since the end of summer 2019, it’s been pretty awful. The Marquis at Clear Lake has valet trash services and my neighbors across the hall have been taking gross advantage of it. They constantly and consistently put leaking, smelly, disgusting trash outside of their front door...which means outside of my front door as well. Their garbage leaks all over the hallway and stains the flooring. It attracts flies, roaches and animals. I have frequently asked the office for help going back to July 2019. All they have done was have the floor power washed. Two days later, another leaking garbage bag is outside in its place. I have spoken to the women in the office, the property manager and also the regional manager of the company. This incredibly unsanitary issue keeps happening again and again...and no one seems to want to help me with it.
Words can’t even describe how much I LOVEEEEEE living here. Erin in the front is absolutely amazing, so if you’re looking to tour or lease the property, ASK FOR HER!!!! You won’t be disappointed. Upon looking at other reviews I don’t understand why people are just so negative. This complex exceeds expectations, and they aren’t pricy I’m about to start working in the Galleria, but for the price and quality of this place I’m definitely considering staying and just dealing with the drive. The apartment is beautiful. The two pools are always clean and up to par. When people complain about not knowing that they need their key fob to open the gym door after business hours that’s kinda common sense..... recently they have installed speed bumps which suck because I’m usually late for work, but are awesome because at the end of the day, it causes everyone to just slow down. Parking is amazing. You never have to worry about not being able to find parking if you come home late at night like I do. I could go on all day, maintenance, front, and the quality/pricing of this place is just outstanding.

I love living here. The staff is friendly and reports to all maintenance inquiries very quickly. The pools are beautiful and there is even a dog park!! Never an issue with parking, always feels safe.
