Originally named Howell's Crossing after a cotton merchant named Evan Howell, Duluth was renamed in 1871 after a flowery speech given in Congress by Rep. J. Proctor Knott condemning the expansion of the railroad to Duluth, Minnesota as wasteful. The over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek description of the northern city inspired residents of the Georgia town to rename their community Duluth. Today, Downtown Duluth is a busy, attractive suburb of Atlanta, offering a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment.
Downtown Duluth has a town green, located along Main Street on the southwest side of City Hall. Historic Downtown Duluth features a variety of businesses, theaters, gift stores, art galleries, and cafes. Rent is incredibly high for the services provided. Terrible pest control, terrible maintenance crew and overall poor customer service.

Very welcoming as soon as you walked in. The team at The Maddox are very nice and very professional! Destiny was absolutely amazing!!! Maintenance team is very fast and convenient. I think the only thing is that residents fail to pick up after their dogs. Other than that supper happy here !
Living at The Maddox, really does feel like a resort setting. I am enjoying my opened floor plan apartment. My apartment is spacy, clean and beautiful. The grounds are well maintained. All of Maddox staffs are friendly, and helpful. The maintenance men are hardworking, and very helpful.
I have only lived here for 60 days but so far I am very pleased with the community. The office staff is very responsive to requests and the manager is awesome!

Complex is very well taken care of and service requests are handled very quickly.
Alexandra was so helpful and kind in getting me into my apartment. She answered all my questions and remembered my son’s name after several months of not seeing him. The apartment is beautiful, the community is beautiful, and the community is very family friendly.
The staff is exceptional. They all work together like a well oiled machine all paying their parts. I have always felt welcomed and my home is nice. I feel I live in a safe area next to everything. Very convenient and beautiful.
If you like a lot of noise and chaos, this is the place for you. If you want to live a nice peaceful life, go elsewhere. The floors and walls are thin so you're going to hear everything your neighbors do, including when they go to the bathroom. The staff are nice and maintenance issues are handled quickly.

I haven't live and apartment for years but living in the The Maddox is very comfortable for my family everything is so updated and the property is well kept. Will highly recommend a friend..
What I most enjoy most with living at the Maddox is that the Property Manager and the staff is the BEST that I have since since moving into the Maddox back in 2017. The maintenance turnaround time is amazing as well, I never seen anything like it.
Rent's too high for amount of space. Gate barely works or is busted most of the time. Staff can't be bothered to pick up phone, and you guys want social distance but won't answer phones to uphold the social distancing. Ammenities were closed for majority of Covid lockdown but we were forced to pay for the amenities we couldn't use. Last staff were much kinder and professional.
i have enjoyed living at the Maddox apartments for some time now, and ive never had a problem, the office staff, maintenance staff are very professional and complete all issues in a timely manner.

The Maddox apartment layouts are beautiful. It is a bit pricey but cheaper than apartments of comparative quality. The new management is still finding their bearings. I definitely enjoyed the customer service of the previous management team front office better. Overall not a bad place to live
The apartments are nice enough, other than cosmetic issues like lumps in the paint and paint splatter on the floors. But the loud music and noise level of the community makes the rent too high for what you get. We expected a more peaceful environment for what we are paying.

My experience with this apartment community has been Fantastic from Tara, Mirenda, Maurice and Jordan. I have lived here since 2017 and a couple of older residents, including myself at first were set in their ways because of things the past management company allow them to get away with. Tara and her staff are the Cream of the Crop!!! Tara and Mirenda always put the resident’s needs first and are very accommodating to the best of their ability. The maintenance crew response time is always done in a timely fashion abs the BEST part about living here is that it’s simply quiet and peaceful.

These are great apartments and the high-ceiling was definitely a selling point for us. The wooden floor and carpeted rooms make an excellent combo. The extra storage space with the walk-in closets is extremely useful.The community is nice and gives an added sense of security. The office staff is cordial in their interactions which has made us feel even more comfortable. Overall, a great place to live if you are a young family.
