The East Village Arts District cultivates the neighborhood’s creative side, and numerous specialty galleries and performance venues abound.
The city celebrates its diverse population with an eclectic roster of cultural festivals, attracting folks from all across the region throughout the year. The coastline is immensely popular among visitors and locals alike, with Alamitos Beach and ShoreLine Aquatic Park providing excellent venues for hanging out and soaking up the sunshine.
Unlike much of the LA area, Long Beach has earned recognition as being exceptionally bicycle-friendly, giving folks Downtown the ability to easily get around without a car.

Property Ratings at The Magnolia
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Do not expect things to work, a peaceful, quiet, smoke free environment. Absolutely DO NOT expect the “manager” to take care of any issues at all! Honestly, I don’t think I could even recommend this complex to be fit for rats. Way to expensive gor what you get. They really need to come in and clean house at this place!
For a new building they have a lot of problems with the elevator. Just randomly, it's one problem after another. After hours numbers don't get answered, and no one is around on Sundays or Mondays, so hopefully nothing happens on those days. IDK, seems expensive for what you get. Neighborhood isn't the best and lots of construction.
We are currently living at Magnolia Apartments in Long Beach, and we are extremely dissatisfied with the management team. Our apartment's AC has been broken since June and it has yet to be fixed (currently august) despite requesting maintenance 3 times. Initially, they provided a temporary AC unit, which worked, but the apartment's main AC never reached the set temperature and soon stopped . Each time we requested to get the AC fixed, we received no response or updates. We always had to find the managers in person which they gave us a “sorry about it” response. The first two times we requested the ac to be fixed it would take a week to get an email saying that the issue has been resolved, only to try the ac and realize that its still not working! Then they would ask us to write a nice review about them when the problem wasn't even solved. The third time we requested the ac to be fixed, we didn't get a response at all. In which we asked for the portable ac unit at least while we’re waiting for someone to come help us. They never got back to us that day even though they said they would call us back. Please keep in mind that we live next to a fire department. Without the portable ac, were forced to leave the windows open listening the sirens while were trying to do work or get some sleep. This ongoing issue and lack of communication from the management team have been incredibly frustrating. From our understanding it is magnolias duty to fix this issue promptly as it is considered a necessity especially in the summer time in the state of california. We will continue to update the community in regards to our experience here at the magnolia. We would not recommend Magnolia Apartments to anyone who is looking for a reliable maintenance and responsive management.
Living at Magnolia and Broadway has been an amazing place to call “home”. From the friendly and knowledgeable management staff to the great living space and amenities, this location is the perfect space to stay!
Magnolia & Broadway has been pleasant to live in so far. Although I had a somewhat hectic move-in experience from an elevator shutdown incident, the management team recovered gracefully and assisted me very well to make the move-in as smooth as it could be. It's also a very nice, quiet, and clean community, the view is great, and the maintenance team is very fast at getting back to requests. I hope the rest of the year goes as smooth as this first month!
I had a truly disappointing experience with Magnolia Apartments. I paid a $500 security deposit to secure a space, only to be told after just 3 days that it was not refundable. Their policy states they were “not entitled” to give it back. This policy is completely unreasonable and feels like a scam. Beware of doing business with a company that seems more interested in taking your money than providing fair customer service. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for your housing needs. Furthermore, their complete lack of responsiveness and refusal to address my concerns only adds to the frustration. It's disheartening to see such poor customer service. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reputable apartment complex that values its tenants and their concerns.
Magnolia on Broadway has been a great living space. The staff here is welcoming and communicative. They make sure you know where everything is and how to access it. The move-in package was a great help getting around the appliances, and I am enjoying the oversized windows and high ceilings.
I was moving for the military and came to Long Beach for a week. I had a few meetings and the second day, I went with my family to Magnolia & Broadway and instantly knew it was the right place. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and genuine. This place reminded me of where I lived in Florida so I’m very happy that I chose this place.
The property looks so clean and professionally decorated. Love the staff, so helpful and kind
