I have lived here for 5 years, moving out now. I have had 3 sets of friends who lived here about 2 & 3 years ago and they all can say the same thing. (We are all very clean and professional adults) I am not one to leave bad reviews but I am mainly doing this just to warn people if they are looking for a nice place to live or have families. This complex used to be so nice and well kept until the place got new management. Now the complex is always so dirty, leaves and trash everywhere, dog poop COVERING any inch of grass, sometimes the valet trash that we pay for decides not to come if there is an inch of rain or slightly bad weather, unkept hallways (my neighbor had to go ask them to come vacuum our hallway because it was getting so bad), the staff never answers their phones in the day time, the noise officer never actually comes if you call them and in the summer there are people partying and smoking at the pool because of no security (the cameras are there just for show). Also, our parcel locker system hasn't been working for the last 8ish months. This complex is not a nice place to live anymore. However, the actual inside of the apartment is nice. The buildings that face the back neighborhood are better because they face a neighborhood street and are more quiet. My husband and I have a little one and we feel safe in one of these buildings. We walk in that neighborhood and utilize the park but try to stay away from the main complex part. Also, I do not recommend the sister properties either. The kids living there always come to our pool and trash the place. I am sad to say that this complex is no longer a nice place to live and am very disappointed with how it has been ran since we have gotten new management.

I have been living here for past 3 years and if it was not my job relocation I would have stayed. It is wonderfool all round. My maintenance retest have been fulfilled with in 2 hours. The office team have been great especially Zatoria who help me through out my moving process and answering all my question about breaking the current lease. Thank you!!!

There are a couple major flaws. Some that management can control and unfortunately some they cannot. When we moved in we read reviews of an insect problem. Upon entering our apartment for the first time we were greeted by a large cockroach on the wall. Luckily we didn’t have any problems with ants and not too many spiders but there is for sure a major cockroach problem in this complex. Cleaning every day and strong uses of peppermint cleaning products still didn’t solve the problem. The building also seems to have an upcoming major carpenter ant and or termite problem. Often you will find the corners of the trim eaten away or worn down with saw dust on the floor next to it. The cleaning crew will come by and clean it up whenever they do their weekly hallway cleaning but sure enough the bugs come right back hours later. Speaking of the hallway, IT STINKS. Literally it smells bad. Awful. Rotting trash, cigarettes, poop you name it. This is more of a resident problem that unfortunately management can’t control. The doors are extremely heavy which is nice for security purposes but not nice if you are trying to relax or get some sleep. If you don’t hold the door behind you they will slam and when they slam they will shake your entire apartment. While the doors are heavy they are certainly awful with noise pollution. You will hear everything that is happening in the hallway. If you get lucky you will have good neighbors. IF you get LUCKY. These particular neighbors of ours have a couple kids and these parents do not control their kids. Trash was always thrown on our patio, food and random items always thrown at our front door, they wrote on our door with marker, poop was smeared on the hallway walls. Yes, poop. Gum was put over our peep hole. And last but not least, mail was stolen from our front door. When I let management know of this problem they handled it well. But once again, there is only so much they can do. We were all promised a parcel pending building for our mail to open “Holidays 2020”. They built the building but the building itself is not being used. Packages are either left at your front door (good chance of being stolen) or left in the mailroom because of a disgruntled Amazon employee. Each resident paid at least $20 for parcel pending access just to have it never open. The apartment itself is nice but it is completely ruined by the thin walls. I am living in apartment here in McKinney Square for two months now. From the day I moved-in till now, staff Jamie has been a perfect example of a professional support. She is always ready to help us any time with a positive and lovely attitude. . I had several issues after moving-in because I had to change apartment # at the date of move-in , but Jamie followed up and resolved all issues nicely. I understand that McKinney Square has been more and more recognized want-to-live-place in the community. Great It is a great place with great staff!!!!

As of 3/2020 they have new ownership and management. The new company only cares about their bottom line. They have minimal staff, cut back hours, and they don't answer the phone. They say to leave a message but it won't be returned. They screen all of their calls to determine if they think it is worthy of their time. Need maintenance after 5 or on a Saturday and you are out of luck. Property maintenance gets ignored. It's true that there is a lot of weed smell. That dog poop doesn't get picked up. Trash piles up at the dumpsters. Cops are out there daily. Also notable but not attributed to the apartment is that USPS sucks at getting your mail in the right box. They do get two stars though. So far my apartment unit is nice. I don't have noise or pest issues (yet...lets see if new owners keep up pest control). Your hard earned money should pay for a value of service that The Mansions McKinney DOES NOT PROVIDE. Think hard before moving here. For the rate of rent there are better options.

Honestly the worst apartments i've ever lived at. I'm in industry and the lack of communication in the office is embarrassing. ( maintenance is great) We would never conduct business the way they do. The apartments are beautiful inside and the neighborhood looks great....HAH every single day my daughter has to plug her nose just to walk down the hall to our apartment the smell is unbearable and COVERED in dog hair. Constantly dog poop everywhere. The side walk smells like urine all the time. Not just my building either i have other friends that live there with the same problem. THE DRUG TRAFFIC HERE IS OUT OF CONTROL. I have witnessed so many drug deals on the side of my apartment building i don't even want to walk to my car. Not only that but SOMEONE GOT SHOT in an apartment a few buildings over from mine! (oh not to mention the shooting at the complex across the street too) There are constantly cop cars at night. Loud cars and motorcycles reeving up their engines at 3am , people driving through their garages, building fires, Ive witnessed 3 dog fights and im not talking about little dogs...... I've had neighbors knock on my door at night asking for my WIFI password (as if i didn't already feel unsafe). The office and inside of the apartments are beautiful but don't let the looks fool you.
I have lived at this beautiful property over a year and honestly I love it here! From the state of the art amenities to the apartment on to the entire staff from Property Manager to porter these professionals are on their A game always! No mater what they always resolve what ever issues I have had! Maintenance is 2nd to none! I zero complaints! I hope to renew my lease when my current lease ends.
My car was towed while visiting a friend in the computer lobby of this apartment complex. I was parked I a visitor parking spot legally. The reason they gave me was my car was damaged. I had been rear ended and was missing a rear bumper. I had been considering leasing an apartment from them in April when my current lease was up. Definitely will not be considering leasing now. If your car is damaged I wold recommend going to get it fixed before veiwing these apartments or to leave someone in your car while inside. I’m now over 300 dollars out of pocket remember if your car ends up getting damaged even while your a resident that they will tow your vehicle so you’ll have to find somewhere outside of the complex to park.
We lived at this complex for a year and a half. Mallory has ZERO customer service skills. Stacey will lie to your face to make herself look good and make you think she is helping you. The office staff is unprofessional and too busy to assist you, unless you're a cool millennial! The apartment is SMALL, walls are thin, you can hear full conversations all around you. Walking down the hallway, you can hear everything!!! Theives and drug dealers are allowed to live there. Police are there ALL the time. The office staff will lead you to believe that it's a good thing they are there all the time. They will lie to you and ruin your credit, even if you give them notice you're leaving. DO NOT RENT HERE. There are nicer apartments, with more room, better amenities, and much more professional staff.
Love living here! Pauline, Jesse, Staphanie, Vinni, Stacy, and Mallory make this place home. I can honestly say if anyone there has ever had a bad day you would never know it! Thank you all for the amazing and welcome way you run this place!
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The front office staff and administrative management is completely incompetent. We moved in the first of the year and it has been the worst mistake. The management is nonexistent. They will wait to charge you for anything and everything to get a dollar from you. The claimed we paid rent late and waited until the 10th to put a notice on my door so they could up the late fees, when we clearly paid on time and management was very rude and argumentative until they finally dropped the late fees. then I get home to a huge hole in the hallway ceiling from what looked like a water line bursting and the locks on my apt door changed. I immediately go to the front office just to have the staff look at each other and not know what to say. A water line busted and had flooded my apt kitchen and they did not choose to call me and inform me, so I got home to the locks on my door changed and a completely trashed kitchen that they did not clean. to say the least I will be contacting higher management because the people that are employed in the front obviously should not be in charge of anything. Please do yourself a favor and do not move into this complex.
Very snobbish. Rude and unfriendly. Mallory is the property manager and she is arrogant. You are clearly making her waste her breath by talking to her. Young and immature tentants. Constant smell of weed in the halls, by the pool. Police are here all the time. People arguing and screaming, cars screaching and peeling out throughout the complex.
Very upscale living!! The staff is awesome!! They greet you with a smile every time! They are very friendly and will help you out with anything. The business center is great and the gym is even better!! I would recommend these apartments to anyone!!
