Property Ratings at The Mark at Brickyard
I have lived almost 5years and never been so disappointed in my life. My dear Fellow friends if you cant read or check “emails” be ready to pay $175 fine. Yes! In todays Advance Technology Mark Management only communicates by emails and if you dont get the update about garage parking sticker changing from “blue” color to black” your Lexus Suv will get towed and will have to pay $175 and wont been get courtesy call letting you know that ita been towed. I had to track it down using my Apple AirTag and inspite of paying $50 every month having the blue sticker. They never emailed me or text or call me to come down pickup the “Black” sticker. I had to pay $175 towing fine. Horribly wasted 3hours to chase and track my Suv. So please give many thoughts before leasing this Apt. “All the Glitters are not Gold” Dont fall for the luxurious design of this horrible management. Thank you!

Do not ignore the reviews. I wish I hadn’t. I decided to wait until I had been here for a while before I did any kind of review on this place, just to be sure I had an accurate view of the living conditions. Roach and mouse infested with garbage smelling hallways. This is nuts to pay this much for “Luxurious Lifestyle” and live like this. This place is advertised as “Luxurious Lifestyle…” it is not!! I’ve been living here 6 months and things just keep getting worse. While it looks good on the website (larger floor plans and lower cost); you’re getting exactly what you pay for. STAFF – The staff is very professional and, for the most part, very friendly. I can’t complain about any of the current staff in the leasing office. BUILDING SECURITY – Anyone can get in through the front door when the leasing office is open. When the office is closed, then the building is secure and visitors will need to be “rung” in (if the system is working). TRASH – While they offer valet trash pickup 6-8p on Sun-Thurs, some tenants leave their trash out at all times of the day, to include days when the trash will not be picked up. They will simply leave it sitting out in the hallway, smelling, for days. The smell gets so bad that some tenants have started putting air fresheners in the hallway to reduce the smell of the trash. HALLWAY – Disgusting Rugs. The building is pet friendly for small and medium sized pets. Although I didn’t realize that the Rottweilers and Pitt Bulls I’ve seen were considered medium sized dogs. The trifling tenants allow their medium sized pets to leave medium sized poops and pee stains on the rugs. APARTMENT – Drag racing all night up and down the street and I have mice!!. I originally complained about roaches and put in a maintenance ticket via their app for pest control. I received confirmation that they had received the maintenance request then I received notification that the ticked had been closed and the maintenance had been completed. I work from home. No one had been to my apartment. I put in another maintenance request with the same result. More than a month later, I still haven’t seen anyone come to my apartment for pest control. A few weeks later, I started seeing mice in my apartment. This has gone from bad to worse. I’ve been told that they don’t like to leave tickets open for too long. Unfortunately, they also don’t seem to like to do any of the work on the tickets either (unless it’s a light bulb or a water filter)
It’s a hassle trying to get in contact with anyone through the phone. They do have breed restrictions!
I've lived in the Mark at Brickyard since 2019. I've witness the transition of management from Harbour Group Management to Sage Ventures & I'm still satisfied with my living experience. The property is well kept, cleanliness & landscaping. During winter months because we're located on a snow emergency exit route, the property as well as the streets surrounding it are still accessible. I don't have ANY issues with maintenance, my washer was malfunctioning, my kitchen & bedroom lights went out & they were all fixed in less than 24hrs. I absolutely hate that I have to relocate, because this is my first apartment, ive been spoiled!!!! and it's been difficult trying to find a similar living experience for the same price. No rodents, no crime, well insulated apartments, my neighbors party all night & it does not affect my movie night. Wish I could give 10 stars! If you're looking for peace after a long hard day/commute, make this your home! I hope that whomever chooses to stay here has the same incredible experience as I.
The management company that has just bought the building has no concern for the residents. The gym is poor the staff in the office is nonchalant, never answers the phone and when you do go in to make requests they are never met without extra visits! They have now implemented PAID parking for visitors for 50 cents per half hour, so now your loved ones can’t even spend the night without coming out of pocket and residents who do not want to pay the 50 dollar fee to park can’t park in the lot anymore and there is barely any street parking. The garage has had multiple instances of car vandalism along with the door being broken for months with opportunity for anyone to come in and out of the building. There is no security and no one here after 5:30 to help if anything goes wrong either. Overall it is an overpriced place to stay but I guess the inside of the apartments are nice.
You pay luxury prices for a mediocre apartment. The walls are cracking. The windows leak air something awful, driving the utility bill through the roof (they refuse to fix them), people steal packages daily from their neighbors and from the mailroom area, residents steal equipment from the gym, the "gym" has broken run down equipment that management refuses to fix, replace, repair or maintain, neighbors are incredibly loud and discourteous, the courtesy officer can never be reach and never calls back or follows up. Management is fully aware of all these issues and simply ignores or attempts to justify them. Please pick a different location. This place is not worth the effort, time and especially money.
The office management is horrible. They are nice until you are a resident. It’s as if since you signed a lease you have to put up with anything they do. They don’t answer the phone nor return calls. I have actually gone to the window where they sit, called the office and watch them as they ignored the call. And they are disrespectful, I have never seen anything like it. I am moving as soon as I can.
The Mark is a great place to call home, the decor is lovely. The Property have new managers, they are very attentive and stand by their word so far. The property have some minor things that needs to improved but I can see the difference with the new team. I like the fact that they greet you immediately when they see you anywhere onsite. I’m looking forward to the improvements and sense of belonging the new leaders will bring to my home. Leasing team is very professional & helpful.

Harbor Group Management company sucks. I've lived at the Mark since 2014, so I've seen all of the management companies come and go, the decline of our amenities, and the rise in our rent costs. #1.We are now being charged $50 a month for parking in the garage. Out of no where, for no reason. They say "Well its cheaper than everywhere else." The GARAGE DOOR HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR MONTHS! There were AT LEAST 2 cars sitting on BRICKS (LITERALLY) for weeks in front of the building and the parking lot. Obviously there is a theft issue, your garage door is broken so anyone can get in, to get our cars, you haven't fixed it, and now you want me to PAY for this? If you are visiting the property, just walk around the corner where you see what should be 3, but will probably be 2 garage doors, because one is broken and you can walk right in. #2. The office space where the computers are always had 2 macs and 2 PCs. All of 2018 there were just 4 PC's, and only some of them worked. 2019 we now have 2 MACS back, but THEY DON'T WORK!!!! How nice would it be for nightly duties for the leasing agents to plug the mouse up to charge so that residents could use the amenities they pay for. The issue is when I need to print something, I should be able to walk down and handle my business, but instead I have to drive to kinkos. #3. I can only assume its a Harbor Group policy, but they have junk sitting out back where everyone drives in when someone moves out or is evicted? And it will be there for a few days. Its embarrassing. An actual luxury building would never. I'll add pictures for reference. Mattresses, dressers, pictures, clothes, ect. #4. I had roaches and other unidentifiable bugs for months. It wasn't addressed or taken seriously until I had to send the office VIDEO from multiple days in multiple areas. Again, not something you find in a luxury property. #5. In the era of AMAZON and delivery, you would think they could just hire someone to do the task of just keeping up with resident packages, but no! In 2018 Harbor Group just decided to do away with package notification. Its awful because it forces you to be rude to people when they swear they can't find your package but you have to INSIST time and time again that the package is there. Forget paying for overnight delivery or 2 day delivery. Our maintenance staff is on point, but not as a result of Harbor Group.

Customer service is abominable. You can never get the main office to talk to you and its a cold day in hell when they decide to answer the phone. The hallways smell like weed, walls are very thin. Do NOT live here.

Where do I start , do not move here. You will regret it. It’s like buying a car then u find it has all types of problems. Looks nice but u deserve more than looks. I would say I don’t feel too safe here because doors are often broken. Cars often have hit and runs, no cameras so it’s on you. Car tires were stolen, the doors are always broke and never fixed in a timely fashion what’s the point of a key fob. Staff change like u change clothes. Always new management team and reps . Before Property was sold it was ok to live here currently the past 2 years I would say run once u sign that lease u will beat urself up because u will be in a situation considering breaking it and pay 2 months to get out. Property management is a joke here. Offices are left open and unattended, package closet left open , outside people can come in and just take em if they wanted. They don’t stand by anything they say get everything in writing I mean everything. Do ur research ask questions.i use to think maybe something happened for a reason for a bad review but if enough people are saying the same things believe them. Look other places for reviews and notice the similarities. I’d hate to say I told you so but ....warning I do not recommend

I was looking for a place .... because I was going to relocate... that didn’t work out. Anyway, the apartments were really nice a little tight for me and threee kids but the staff there were super nice ... especially the lady who should me around... she greeted me with a warm smile, showed me around the property and made me feel right at home. If you happen to go in there looking for a place ask for Juliet ... she was so sweet!!
Living at the Mark has been the worse experience I have had since moving between apartments. I have personally lived in better military barracks in my life than this complex and that has a lot to say about it. The neighbors have little respect to anyone around them and can be heard stomping around upstairs and down the halls. In the first time in my life I have lost MANY packages while living here due to them being left at the front door of my apartment and have complained multiple times to the staff. There are of course NO security cameras around to catch the criminals mind you as they run off with the packages. As well no security cameras to catch anyone breaking into your car parked out front or even in the parking garage which has happen on multiple occasions to many people living here. Mind you as well the the doors are secured by a remote reader where not even the police can get in. I PERSONALLY had to let a police officer into the building while coming home from work one day. The apartment prices are jacked up and I have been told many times by my fellow coworkers that I basically pay the same price that they do for owning a home. The leasing staff do very little to try to KEEP their long term residents which is very sad to be honest. They make it very difficult it seems like for residents to WANT to stay in the complex. I have yet to find any good reason for the outrageous prices they have on the apartments. They do an AWESOME job at making the apartments look great at a first glance but do VERY little to keep any of those residents. They try to even keep their residents sadly once their lease comes up by trying to remind them of how much of a hassle it is to move which to me is a desperate plea to keep them. If they really want to keep their residents they should do something to make a change. The Mark has changed hands several times since I have lived here but I have noticed little to no improvements.

Mark at Brickyard is located in a good spot. Its walking distance to the Amtrak Station and it is not far from Greenbelt Metro (shuttle in Amtrak parking lot takes you to Greenbelt). Its close to laurel and greenbelt and easy access to 95, or travel down Baltimore Avenue to get to BW Parkway/495/50. The apartments are nice and spacious and cost market prices. The pool is small but it doesn't get to crowded and there are many areas to relax, including the courtyard. I enjoyed living here, the only down fall is that the complex only has maybe 2 3-bdrm units. Another issue that I noticed after moving is that the leasing consultants are not on top of their game. They could be more active as far as communicating with the staff. Also some of them could have less of an attitude when you come pick up packages. I say I noticed this after I moved because my current leasing office gets an A in this area which made me notice the not so well performance here. Overall these are minor issues, I'd move back!
Brickyard is the home you never knew you needed and always wanted. This place has everything. Granite countertops, awesome service, safe, soak in tubs, yoga room, gym and so on and so on. We are so happy in our very quiet space. Neighbors are kind and courteous. Just call the office and tell them Toni D. sent you.
This complex offers the best of two worlds- city living and yet is quiet and secluded. Living here has afforded me convenience of being near city life, is situated across the street from the MARC station, but is nestled in the quiet neighborhood. The amenities are generous and range from a game room, computer room, board room, theater and gym. Lastly, this is a pet friendly complex which myself, fiancé and our boxer happily call home.
I've been living at The Mark for 3 years at this point and overall, I'm pretty satisfied. The management, although frequently changing, has always been friendly and accommodating. I'm a single guy with no kids and tend to be pretty laid back so things that bother most people, typically don't bother me. There's the occasional noise in the hallways, but that's to be expected. Even when there is, it's nothing obscene or intolerable. The maintenance staff is quick to respond and here recently, the office staff has been periodically sending emails to check in and make sure that everything is to the renter's liking. One thing that I'm disappointed with though, is that initially one of the reasons I began leasing at The Mark was because of the security. I was a resident during the year it first opened and there were 2 security guards (one inside the building & one outside) who would patrol 24 hours a day. Coming from some of the other communities, this was a big sell for me. That has since changed and so have some of my concerns. Although security issues don't come up often, there have been a couple instances where people's cars have been tampered with or in one case, rims stolen. The gated garage is definitely nice and a deterrent for non-residents, but it doesn't do anything for those that are already residents and unfortunately, have ill intentions.
This is a good place but expensive considering the space available and location, in particular my floorpan is not the best, we have not space for storage and if a visit come to our place , it is necessary to pass through the bedroom. Service are Ok, Management is Ok, however there are better option on the area for the same price, if you do not believe it just try to check the price online, it is not available, you must call to get it.
Today I moved into my new apartment called the Mark at Brickyard. I was extremely excited when I saw the pictures on this site so my friend and I decided to check it out. The feeling I got when I first walked in was the same feeling you get when you meet your soulmate! It was perfect for my son and I. Great location, great amenities, great size, and it felt like a space where I can raise my son. Moving in today was one of the best days and I'm glad to be here.
Dark hardwood floors, granite countertops, plenty of space. I got an Electric car after moving here, since there are dedicated car charging stations throughout the garage! In unit washer dryer are great, and all the appliances are nice and new and water and electric conserving. Apartment facilities are a great gym space, pool and huge outdoor grill (2, I think, even).
Each day this apartment t has a special and unique meaning to me. The elegance warmth, and comfort keeps me relaxed and happier than the day before. TOTAL enjoyment is always the Maximum Goal.
