Property Ratings at The Mark
the management is an actual joke. The rent for the building and amenities is already too high, but nearly every amenity has been closed, "broken", or frustrating to use for the past year. It is a nice place because you can walk to campus and downtown, but our wifi has been out since August, the pool has yet to open (it's mid-April) for the year, they never found me a key to my mailbox (in 6 months, still don't have access to my mail!), and the lounge for our building has been closed since last year. Management also messed up our utility bills for months and I had to keep calling the 3rd party company they use to force them to call the Mark themselves. And management is not sorry about it either
I live at The Mark and it’s fenuonely the worst experience I’ve ever had. Last night I was woken up at 4 a.m. to false fire alarm for the 3rd time this month. Then about 4 hours later I was woken up by construction all morning that is unbelievably loud. This is unacceptable and happens constantly. Everyone I know who lives here wants out so don’t read the other reviews or believe them. This place is TERRIBLE.
You'll notice the 5 star review is clearly fake. The lease is exhaustive in removing all responsibility of the landlord. Do you like deafening noise in the hallways, enjoy beer bottle and vomit at the foot of the elevators? Maybe you enjoy waiting 1 month for a wifi login only to realize that the wifi that does not allow you to connect Google or other smart devices? It has been 2 months and I still do not have the assigned parking spot that I pay for. Literal, trash of a management company.
I have lived here for about 6 months (halfway through my lease) and I have reached the end of my patience for The Mark. The apartments themselves are very nice and the location is amazing for UGA students. But the management and office staff do not care about the residents at all. The office staff is always rude and unhelpful, and almost never have answers to your questions. The elevators break once a week. The pool is constantly closed during the summer. Parking is a nightmare. I park on the 8th floor of the parking deck and if I want to run back to my apartment and grab something, I cannot leave my car in the bottom floor because I am at risk of being booted. Oh also most of the residents treat the place like a dump, and you will most definitely be able to hear someone partying from somewhere any day of the week. Please don’t waste your money here.
Although the location is great (close to campus bus stops and downtown) and the building is very nice with great amenities, the management at the Mark fails to live up to the buildings standards. They take advantage by pushing over college students who’s parents have already signed off to pay rent for 12 months. Living here was a pain and I couldn’t wait to get out.
The mark is a beautiful building, and it has great proximity to Uga campus and downtown, but the building is not very well kept by management. After a year going on two years I can say, most of the amenities promised (and paid for) have been at some point or another been shut down for weeks at a time. The only reasons I really stayed is because I’ll be graduating soon and it’s very close to campus. But it does not seem worth the money at this point. The hallways, stairways and elevators are consistently dirty. The quad in the courtyard is covered in poop because there hasn’t been any consequences for those who do not pick up their dogs poop. I will say the maintenance staff responds quickly when there is an issue in your actual unit but as far as up keep of the entire building it needs some work especially for the price. There also was at some point security that now seems to be nonexistent. Parking is a whole fiasco at times with no free guest parking and assigned resident parking reaching 8 floors.
After living at the Mark for the past 6 months, I’ve been very impressed with the quality of the living spaces and facilities provided. The staff has been super helpful with all of our needs.
I have been living at the Mark for 6 months now, and I have had a wonderful experience. The units are so nice and fully furnished with nice furniture and appliances. There is also a super nice fitness center and pool. When I go up there I feel like I’m living in luxury.
I’ve been living here since August and it is a really great place! There are lots of amenities and I love the 24-hour workout room which is super convenient! It has become my home and the space is big and huge.
