Trumbull/Upper Stratford/Shelton is an expansive area encompassing the land north of Bridgeport and Lower Stratford. The area is largely residential and complemented by lush woods. Renters have options of modern apartments and townhomes for rent. Although this community is mostly residential, Highways 25 and 8 allow for easy travel to surrounding areas, including the 25-mile drive east to New Haven and the 70-mile drive to New York. These two roads also hold the main retail areas including places like Hawley Lane Mall and Westfield Trumbull. Outside of this area, residents are in proximity to some of Connecticut’s best attractions like the Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo and the Roosevelt Forest.

Property Ratings at The Mark | Fairfield County
The Mark is a great apartment complex in a great location in Shelton, CT. Situated across Bridgeport Avenue from the Plaza Diner, it offers a pool, cinema room, game room with billiards, gym with cardio center, as well as many other amenities. The complex is great for dogs, with a dog park behind one of the buildings and the Pet of the Month prominently displayed in the leasing office. The location is also less than 5 minutes from the Shelton Dog Park and hiking trails. Jen, Val and Adriana in the leasing office are incredibly friendly and helpful. Victor and his maintenance team are also top notch, very attentive and thorough in fixing the few minor maintenance issues I've encountered in over a year of living here. The Mark's response to the pandemic this year has been exceptional. They organized several socially-distanced community events like the recent pumpkin carving contest and were able to re-open many of the amenities but only after careful consideration for the safety and health of the residents.

My husband and I moved up to The Mark a year ago to be closer to family. I researched and researched and looked at many apartments. The minute we pulled into The Mark we knew we were “home” and still feel that way a year later. Each and every staff member is warm, friendly and always helpful with any concern that is brought to them. The office staff ( Jen, Jeff, Valerie and Amy ) work so well with the maintenance staff ( Victor, Rodger and Lloyd ) to accommodated everyone’s needs as well as the wonderful celebrations that they host. We are looking to many years at The Mark.

Mishandling of lease documents (shared confidential information) and continued billing errors. Staff is unprofessional with their communications, takes forever to make repairs, and only cares about your rent payments. There is a reason for all the staff turnover since I signed the lease, they are clearly struggling to find competent people to run the place. Will not be renewing. Good luck to anyone who chooses to do so - recommend you consider our experiences before you sign there. There are better options.

I have never come across a more incompetent administrative staff. I've had numerous issues over the last year of living here. They tried to charge me extra money in violation of my signed lease. When I disputed the charges, I had to send multiple emails and it took them over a week to respond. When they did, they were very rude and didn't seem to understand why I was upset about being charged extra. I've had another issue too regarding misfiled paperwork. It also took them almost a year to replace a cracked window in my bedroom. While this place looks nice at first glance, living here is not worth the stress of dealing with staff incompetence.

My wife and kids have been here for 5 months now and we absolutely love everything about this place!! Pet friendly as we have a dog, quiet, with the amenities that you dream of!! The staff (Elise,Valerie,Janel, and Victor) are amazing!! Always there to assist with any questions or concerns. It’s hard to find good staff in this type of business where they treat you like family, and the mark nailed it!! Keep up the awesome job
I was one of the first residents and I really enjoy living here. They really care about the residents and always respond quickly to any request I have! They do fun events every month and I've made a lot of lasting friends because of that. Beautiful new apartments and I recommend to everyone!
I have lived in the Mark now for almost a year, and I’ve enjoyed living here, they have WAY too many rules. Stupid rules too... like requiring your apartment to be covered in 75% carpet. Why have hardwood floors if you’re going to REQUIRE carpet? Dumb. They also charge a fee for everything. If you breathe the wrong way, you’ll be fined. It’s a shame that they keep making up more rules because they don’t even enforce the rules they have now. This supposed to be a no-smoking property, yet my entire floor smells like tobacco 90% of the time. The complex is clean and residents are friendly, but the staff and management is TRASH. I wouldn’t refer anyone to live here.
I love living here, it's like a hotel! I really like that they added a dog park, I have a lab and it's nice that he has a place to play now. I would totally recommend this apartment to everyone!
My husband and I (along with our dog) loved our year of living at The Mark! The staff was amazing. They took care of all of our requests and were extremely personable. The maintenance group was also very helpful. The grounds always looked nice and the common areas were well kept. I loved our Acadia apartment! The layout was very spacious and more than enough room for us. The floors and appliances were all in great shape. We had a balcony overlooking the dog park, which our pup loved! My only complaint would be that I wish there was a kitchen pantry, but the number of cabinets made up for it. The location is also awesome. You are on the same road as TJ Maxx, Edge Fitness, Bank of America, multiple grocery stores, and a few great local ice cream shops and restaurants. I commuted into New Haven and it was very easy. Definitely consider The Mark if you are looking for a nice apartment complex in the area!
I am a current resident at the Mark Fairfield County and I absolutely love it here. The property is beautiful and property staff is amazing!! I would highly recommend leasing your next apartment here and join this amazing community that is like family!!
