Property Ratings at The Marke Apartment Community
Been living here for over 2 years. Use to be a fun place to live and network with young business professionals. Staff now treat tenants as an inconvenience. Don't be fool on the amenities. You're not allowed to used them most of the time or highly restricted. The bowling alley almost never worked in the past 2 years I tried to use it. Consider renting a house for the price you pay here. I do like the location to freeways and shopping centers.
The building is nice, the staff treat residents like an inconvenience and there is a huge problem with theft.
A truthful and honest review from a tenant that has lived there since it opened. Most of the positive reviews here are about a far different apartment complex. Most of the staff that is praised have quit, transferred or been fired. All the positives features peolpe reviewed are unfortunately no longer true... I was one of the first tenants that moved into this complex – the roof wasn’t even open for 3 months after I moved in there in 2015. This complex has had many moments of brilliance, but has since dove down into the subpar complexes of upscale Orange County. I believe your rent dollars are better spent in other complexes. My reasoning is below: 1) In the first year, the entire roof (which is not that large) was open to the residents. After approx 10-12 months of opening, after countless promises this would not happen, they closed off approximately 40% of the roof to trainers that are only to be used by athletes that live there on a part time basis. This caused a major uprising among tenants and ownership offered everyone out of the lease free if they removed their negative complaints online. We decided to stay but this is a prime example how little they care about their tenants 2) Theft is a major problem at the Marke. We personally had a car window broken into, our storage cage broken into, and a box taken out of the shared Luxor room during our tenure. Everything was locked appropriately and in discussion with neighbors, this is an all too common experience 3) They cater more to the proactive athletes than their tenants. There are several units that are only used for athletes. If you happen to have a unit that is close to it (above, below, side, or across), you can hear them partying and having sex all through the night. Not an ideal scenario on a weekday if you have to be at work the next morning. 4) Parking is a disaster. There is very limited parking (they used to charge $6 for your guests to park there) and if all spots are taken, there is literally nowhere remotely close than is suitable parking. Additionally, expect to have to trek down to the parking lot to get your guests, as there is no system to let them in otherwise. If you have a unit far from the parking structure, this can be quite a hassle. This used to be a great complex with successful young adults and after what I consider to be a number of bad decisions by upper management, has turned for the worse in every area. There are far better apartment nearby
The apartment complex itself is fine...We really like the convenience of living here. In-unit washer/dryer, gas range, refrigerators, microwave, dishwasher, central A/C, on-site maintenance, etc. we also have assigned parking so we almost have no issues. Though we preferred living here when it was just 30% occupied...less residents meant less riff-raff. Nowadays, there's plenty of non-residents coming in and out to party at our rooftop. If you're looking to have people over and party on the weekends, then this is the right place for you. Quite overpriced, not sure if it's worth it but building is well maintained and convenient.
A lot of amenities , amazing roof top with pool, gym, play areas, on level garage, friendly and helpful staff.
Loved the time I stayed here. The only improvement would be communication.
