I love living at the marlowe. The manager leslie is so nice and helpful. I was confuse dby the last review. yes, there was an electricity outage this summer for a few days but living well homes was soooo helpful and got us a hotel/reimbursed everything lost in our fridge. they answer all of our service requests so quickly and the property is gorgeous and rlly well located without downtown prices. we also love the pool :)

DO NOT MOVE HERE. I have been a civil, quiet tenant who pays rent on time for almost 3 years now and they refused to renew my lease because I complained to their management about all the issues this place doesn't fix. They are trying to remove me without giving a single reason, just for complaining to higher ups. -Power outage (no electric, water, or air, in July) for over 2 weeks, they were forced to reimburse us a measley $500 for being displaced for over 15 days... One tenant DIED in the apartment from heat exhaustion and they didn't think this was a big deal for the rest of us! -Cockroaches were a huge issue for a few months -Air conditioning does not work. Rusted, molded, water logged units from the 70's or 80's and is so unhealthy to breathe in. I forced them to replace my unit after my ceiling caved from water damage. They left 3 holes in my ceiling and covered them with duct tape. That was their solution for months. - In less than 3 years I have seen 3 or so different property managers. Each with their own special qualities of not caring for their tenants or responding in an appropriate time frame. -Takes months to fix anything around here and with all the money we pay, nothing gets updated or refreshed. The ad photos look nice, but pay attention to the details. Many tenants are afraid of speaking out because they don't believe they will get to stay or they will lose their deposit at the end of their lease. Listen, I am not a reviewer for anything, but this has gone too far for me. I don't deserve to be displaced for complaining about my apartment not having power or air for HALF A MONTH. I deserve to have a safe place to live. But this place will take your money and kick you out whenever they feel like. Desert living homes will dispute this but someone literally died from the heat while our power was out. Choose a different place to spend your money, please. I will make sure good people avoid The Marlowe.

Steer clear. Rhonda has to have THE WORST customer service skills. I have been waiting for a lease for two months. The last apartment manager charged me for insurance when I had my own insurance. Rhonda refuse to fix it. I have sent the documentation to her three times now. I was promised by her assistant that it would be fixed two months ago and Rhonda says they don’t have the paperwork. She wouldn’t listen to me, kept taking over me, yelled at me and I finally had to hang up because she would only argue. She never submitted my work order and they have close to $160 of my money that they shouldn’t have. And it still doesn’t seemed to be fixed. If I send emails, they are ignored. I asked to speak with her supervisor and was told they don’t know the name. I don’t feel like they are honest or know what they are doing. STEER CLEAR! Worst apartment manager ever.
I have lived at Desert Flora Apartments for over a year and have been extremely satisfied with everything. The staff and residents alike will always watch out for you and maintenance is completed within the same day most times. I feel safe there at all hours of the day and night, even walking to my car at 3am. This is seriously a small community that you'll fall in love with. You'll get to know all your neighbors if you live there as most are long term residents and very friendly - everyone just kind of looks out for each other. It's something you never see anymore, like a look back at how things used to be in the "good old days". The prices are incredible for what you get and the location couldn't be more perfect - within walking distance to a shopping plaza that includes Ross, Target, Frys, Petco, Costco, and more! This is a true gem to find. Desert Flora is quiet, clean, there is no drama going around, neighbors are friendly, the complex is beautiful, and the pool is always perfect! If you are a good tenant and take care of the room and property, you should have the same experience I did. I have lived at 3 other apartments and I have never felt as "at home" as I do here. If you're looking for something long term (or even short term), this is definitely the place to settle down.
