Nestled on the northern shores of Lake Pontchartrain, Slidell offers residents small-city bustle along with tranquil, remote natural areas. Slidell residents enjoy the many specialty shops, galleries, restaurants, and bars of charming Olde Towne Slidell as well as the Fremaux Town Center’s numerous national retailers and eateries.
Heritage Park and John Slidell Park are among the city’s many local parks; however, the Honey Island Swamp is Slidell’s crown jewel, providing endless opportunities for fishing, canoeing, sailing, and waterskiing between the East and West Pearl Rivers. Located at the intersection of three interstates (I-10, I-12, and I-59), Slidell is within a 45-minute drive of New Orleans’ French Quarter and the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

Property Ratings at The Mason at Fremaux Park
Unprofessional management. Good luck getting a call back or an answer when you have problems. Dirty
moved here from out of state and Derrick was beyond amazing with helping us through the process. we got an upgraded unit, no bug issues, truly amazing. all amenities are available and well kept. our upstairs neighbor was very noisy, but they've moved. maintenance is very responsive and courteous, and management is always available and polite. I literally have no complaints about this place! I wish I could take this apartment with me wherever I go.
As mentioned in the headline, Have had nothing but great experiences with management and staff. The only downside is how noisy these apartments are. The master bedroom wall is shared with the neighbors living room and balcony and can hear everything if the neighbor is up walking around or on their balcony while im trying to sleep. I finally had to move into one of the spare bedrooms to be able to get to sleep. Can hear people talking and cars outside even while being on the third floor! I can even hear the people below me! My guess is that cheap materials were used when the apartments were built. If its this bad on the third floor i can only imagine how miserable it must be living on the lower floors.
My boyfriend and I lived here for a year and DO NOT recommend living in these apartments. They were poorly constructed, walkways were dirty and despite their pet policies there is dog poop everywhere. Staff is not helpful or responsive and the apartments are WAY overpriced for what you are getting. We heard absolute horror stories from our neighbors on multiple occasions due to the poor construction including bathroom cabinets above the toilet collapsing on them, ant infestations and more. Save your $$ and rent elsewhere!
They just want to take your money. Apartment is made of cheap materials. I got something on my wall while moving and after trying to wipe it off with water it ended up taking paint of with it. Just used water no harsh chemicals or anything. Apartment is way overpriced for the quality it comes with. Just be warned of the way this apartment and management handles itself.
I’m not sure what the other review on water pressure is talking about as I have great water pressure in my apt. I personally buy my own shower heads ALWAYS no matter where I’m living so I did replace the shower head because I prefer to have a fancier one anyways. However, water in kitchen and bathroom sink is great. Washer and dryer are amazing! There is a ton of cabinets and the walk in closet is very big and fit all my storage bins. I am on the second floor and I love it!!! I am extremely happy with my choice to move here. It is safe and secure with a gate but I do notice people come in behind me so I really wish the gate closed faster after each car but my last apt was the same way. The gym is beautiful and the clubhouse and pool is beautiful too! I feel very safe being here and I love how clean and new it is. I highly recommend this apt place for anyone and any family! It is the best apt place in Slidell by far.
water pressure is so bad takes forever to take shower kitchen faucet you can forget, unusable, so sad for new apt so sad. Apt is new but very cheaply build all countertops are plywood, the only good appliances are washer and dryer. The best part is clubhouse. unimpressed with management, weird behavior I will keep you posted. Noise (called music) in gym is way to loud, I use headphones with noise cancelation and still that noise is disturbing my peace and my workout, member of management just said it is what they decide for us, so we idiots so they decide what music we will listen because we are not capable of make choice so they did for us ,,,,thanks for care. So they impose that noise on everybody even though everybody uses headphones and listens to music of choice ,,,you make the conclusion. I will keep with updates.
