Uptown is where renters choose to live if they love entertainment. Throughout the neighborhood you’ll find everything from walking tours highlighting the hangouts of Chicago gangsters to the city's hottest nightclubs and theaters to the best shops and restaurants around. Uptown Chicago stretches along Lake Michigan and includes the popular summer hotspot Montrose Beach. For those moving to Chicago with a pet, Montrose Dog Beach is also a very popular destination. In winter, Cricket Hill is one of the city's favorite sledding spots.
What is it like to live in Uptown? It’s historic, walkable, and distinctive. Uptown is home to some fantastic landmarks, such as Aragon Ballroom. The ballroom opened in 1926, and legends about secret tunnels and Al Capone abound. During the Big Band era, the ballroom hosted some of the biggest names in music, including Glenn Miller, Lawrence Welk, Guy Lombardo, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington.

We're delighted you're having an exceptional experience here! Thanks for the 5 stars and we hope you continue to enjoy our community!
Literally, I don’t even have the time to explain how awful this place is. don’t be fooled. the rennovation looks okay but this place is falling apart and no one cares. DO NOT LIVE HERE
Constantly under construction. two months into our lease and several things have broken and or leaked. Staff is extremely friendly and it’s super cheap but not worth it for the neighborhood and the heinous living conditions.
-Management will gaslight you when you bring up issues to them -Heat would be out during the winter and it's hard to get a hold of someone to fix it immediately -Thin walls and floors, so if your neighbors are loud, you will hear them (management won't do anything about these neighbors) -Apartments are recently renovated, but it's really for the appearance -Elevators has been down for more than 8 times in the past year I lived here -Smells travel through vents from your neighbors (I can smell my neighbors cooking when I'm using the bathroom)

We’re disappointed to learn that your experience has not been a more accurate reflection of the positive living situation that we strive to offer. As for any maintenance concerns, we try to fulfill all service requests in a timely and efficient manner, regardless of high volume. We apologize this wasn't your experience. Our residents’ comfort is very important to us and we are sorry to hear that noise from your neighbors was an issue. Noise pollution can be an unfortunate side effect of living in a multifamily housing situation and our team always takes the appropriate measures when we receive a noise complaint. While we understand you don't have a high opinion of us at this time, we invite you to contact the office directly if you’d like to discuss your feedback in more detail.
These buildings are mice infested. Every apartment has an issue with mice it’s ridiculous. Management is very unhelpful and quite frankly rude(the lady). Packages get stolen so often and they don’t do anything about it. The remodeling is cheaply done, paint bubbles everywhere. Gaps in the flooring. Elevator was once out for an entire month, it was horrible for those of us on the 4th. Conclusion? Look for somewhere else or you will be disappointed like i was

We are saddened to hear that your experience in our community wasn't up to our usual standards. Pests can be a major inconvenience, which is why we have a number of resources available to handle them. Please reach out to our office so we can schedule additional treatments. Our residents’ comfort is very important to us and we work diligently to maintain our community. We want all our homes to be in the best condition possible and always encourage residents to call the office if they have any issues so we can properly evaluate the situation. Please reach out to us directly at your next convenience so that we can further discuss your feedback and address any concerns you may have.
-They are requiring you to put your credit card info to access the mail room and get your packages. They will charge you if you don't get it after 2 days even if there's an emergency, it's an unexpected package, etc. This was NOT mentioned in our lease or by anyone who works here before we signed. Check your lease before you sign and ask them to be transparent about it and other fees they will add in the future. Accessing our packages was previously free so this was sprung on us without warning. -There are no parking spots available in the garage which isn't even open yet (delayed for 2-3 months now from when they told us it would open). Once it opens, there is a waiting list so there's no guarantee that you'd get a spot. Street parking is really, really hard to come by so there are no alternatives to having a garage spot.
