Property Ratings at The Meadows Apartment Homes
If you can look past the terrible maintenance crew and condescending office staff, then it’s one of the better options to live in Syracuse. Location is better than most and apartments are decently sized for what you’re paying. The amenities fee is a joke because the pool and the gym, the two main amenities they advertise and offer, and never open.
Property manager doesn’t do she’s job at all. Very rude unprofessional person. Plowing snow 3 days after snow fall. Laundry very dirty. Never plowing the snow to the garbage dumpsters
My stay at the Meadows has been remarkably comfortable and ergonomic. The location is no more than 15 minutes from any big-box store or the downtown area, and the community itself is friendly and quiet despite its proximity to a college. Management is friendly, responsive, and accommodating. My work orders were taken care of within 48 hours. For as much snow as Syracuse gets, roads in the apartment complex were consistently plowed, and the steps to my apartment were always salted. Units are cozy, spacious, and rented at very reasonable rates. The Meadows and Morgan Property Management have set a high bar for my next landlord to meet. I am very pleased with my experience here.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for The Meadows! We love hearing how happy our residents are and that they are enjoying everything our community has to offer. I will pass your compliments along to the team.
My fiance and I have lived here about six months now, and we're very happy here. The units are quiet and relatively soundproof (except for the occasional weekend party and a loud dog bark). The lay out of the apartments are very nice. We have a dog and have found it an incredibly dog-friendly place to live and our pup loves to hang out on our patio! There's also a nice mix of tenants here - we're in our mid-twenties but calm/quiet and we get along with both the families and the students that live in our building.
If only I had the money to relocate ASAP.....it was nice during my first 3 months and now it is horrible...neighbors are not friendly at all (don't even say HI back to me)...get silly phone calls from the office about complaints and I've never complained about the dogs barking downstairs or my next door neighbor who leaves her trash in front of her door for dayssss...water temperature always fluctuates...never any parking in front of my building...maintenance takes forever....office staff is rude and shows no empathy...it looks great on the outside but not so great after you sign that lease!
They will charge you no security deposit and then replace the carpet for normal wear and tear. The charge will be over 1,000 dollars. This happens to everyone! I would never recommend this apt to any parents of college students or families! No OCC buses will come to pick students up there either. They don't get along with OCC either. Just disheartening!
We are the parents of an OCC student who rented here. First of all we were shown an upgraded apartment and were told that our child would be in one of the upgraded units. On move in day were told that the unit was upgraded but after looking at the unit it had non matching appliances and the cabinets were in poor shape. Clearly not the same as the one we were shown. Apartment management was terrible to deal with and mostly rude. Management charged us for the upgraded apartment but when we pushed to inform them that the unit was clearly not upgraded they would blow us off. Many times we called to get the rate corrected with only the typical response that someone would call us back and of course it never happened. Only with persistence did we ever get through that issue. But it didn't end there. On move out, the inspection was completed with no additional fees required. Then 3 weeks later after the move out was complete a bill was received in the mail with no details or explanation of what it was for. We called the management to get details and again they were rude and even said we would have to take it up with the collection agency. First of all the bill had no details and secondly we had just received it and was only calling to find out what it was all about. So threatening that we would have to take this up with a collection agent was rude and un professional.
I have lived here a year with my husband and two kids 12 and 14 and we absolutely love it here. Neighbors are great. We feel safe here. Yes, sometimes there is some loud music in cars going by, mostly on Friday and Saturday nights, but nothing major. There was one loud party that I could hear once (mostly hearing the people outside) and it never happened again. It is apartment living and moving in we knew about the students that would live here. There is a good mix of tenants, however. Families, older people and younger people which is great. Our heating bill has not been more than $170 but we do work full-time so aren't home during the day. Good, safe place. Convenient to everything including grocery stores and Target in Fairmount is 3 miles away. I work in downtown Syracuse and it's a quick 12 minute commute.
My apartment is a large 2 bedroom with a huge livingroom that is very spacious compared to other apartments, I have a nice patio to walk out onto with plenty of storage space! This is a quiet area which is a plus for me! My bedroom is huge with a big walk-in closet. The complex has a great fitness room and an amazing pool that I frequent too! Very close to downtown Syracuse, yet having a touch of the country also!
office people not working at all. No insulation. Heating bills around $300.
We absolutely love living here. Our apartment is beautiful, and it is very quiet. We can't hear any of our neighbors. The landscape is beautiful as well. If you have a problem, maintenance comes very quickly. My only complaint is that the rent is too high. We are paying $820 for a 2 bedroom apartment, which I find unreasonable, no matter how nice it is.
Never rent here unless you attend Onondaga Community College across the street. The apartments are grossly overpriced, they have virtually no insulation and cost a fortune to heat, and the maintenance staff is terrible. The maintenance staff continued to enter my apartment with my girlfriend in the shower which is completely unacceptable. Upon entering and realizing there was someone in the shower, they should have turned right around and come back later. Also, be prepared to deal with thumping bass and complete disrespect from all the OCC students that live there. They have a deal set up with OCC for the college kids, and then allow them to do whatever they please and the only people that end up having to deal with it are the respectable adults that live there. We all were kids once, but I was never disrespectful like the individuals that live there (and I'm only in my mid 20's, so it is not like I am a "stuffy old person complaining about all the kids these days").
