Property Ratings at The Meadows At Cheyenne Mountain
Tried calling the complex office number over 10 times throughout the day and they never answered. The hot tub has been closed for 2 1/2 months and the pool was also closed for months on end. This apartment complex is also very trash and unsafe. Cars get broken into all the time and within the past year the cops have been here atleast 3 times. The complex also does not have any cameras when break ins occur.
I first want to start by saying I do not give reviews lightly. With that being said, from the first encounter with the ladies in the office it was nothing short of amazing. I was greeted with smiles and warmth like going home to family. I always had their full attention, the unit that I was shown was clean and found to be in good repair. I could find nothing wrong and trust me I was looking. The pricing can not be matched by far and the amenities you just have to see for your self. I would recommend this community to all that I know looking for a place to call home.
The parking is horrible after 4:00 pm. There is not enough spaces for all the tenants and it does not help that Yolanda, the Manager takes up two covered spaces to park her vehicle. Yolanda also needs a lesson in customer service, not friendly at all and treats the tenants as they are below her. It took six months to get my full deposit back, however, you cannot be more then three days late on your rent.
Rude staff, especially the manager Yolanda. Grounds are DISGUSTING, dog poop everywhere, dead grass that is molding (looks like black tar was poured in the grass), algae due to poor planning/drainage, trash constantly everywhere. Will give you a run for your money, 100%. If you want to park anywhere on the complex grounds, you need to pay for covered parking. There is never parking after 4pm. Jonathan is the only person who has a clue as to what the hell is going on. Car break-ins and theft all the time even though they claim there is security. 11/10 would NOT recommend.
Only one staff member cares. No one else on staff tries to fix any issues or problems. Drive through this property first hand to see the problems with your own eyes.
The location is lovely, but that's about all the nice things I can say. Only one person on the staff is helpful, and the property manager is very disrespectful and will not help her tenants.
f I could give this place 0 stars I would! The grounds are filthy: trash and dog fecies everywhere. The maintenance department likes to sit on their phones for the first hour they are on the clocks and don’t do anything to help with the upkeep of the apartment complex. When we first moved in, we reported broken steps that were literally DETATCHED! It took them 2 weeks and my husbands physically walking into the office with the broken steps to get the “regional” manager to do anything at all! 5 months later there are still steps “marked” that need to be replaced that never have been! Don’t even get me started on Yolanda the apartment manager! Probably the laziest person I have ever met and clearly can’t handle the property! We recently had a small snow storm on a Saturday, nothing was plowed, shoveled, or salted for over 24 hours! When they finally decided to do something about it they did a terrible job! After getting tired of almost killing ourselves walking down the steps around 6pm we went to the leasing office, caught Yolanda on her way out and told her and the assistant in there anout the icy steps, we were told they were out of ice melt but it would be taken care of! The next morning the steps were EVEN worse! When we went back into the office Yolanda pretended like she never spoke with us the day before! The top landings were still not shoveled off and incredibly dangerous! This place is a complete DUMP! The only good thing about this apartment complex was Amanda, and she left probably with good reason! I am paying for 24hour maintenance and when asked about why it just goes to a voicemail Yolanda told us it didn’t matter! I tried to get a number to contact above her and she told us there was no one! If a manager or owner above Yolanda and the so called “regional” property manager would like to reach out to me, I would truly appreciate a corporate contact number. I can also provide photos of the grounds and steps of which I will gladly be posting to other review pages.
My roommate and I have only been living at The Meadows for two months now. We have submitted at least five noise complaints and indoor smoking complaints as well. Before we moved in, we asked if we could see the actual residence - instead of the model - to avoid situations that we are encountering now, in which we were denied for different reasons depending on the occasion. Having experienced other apartments in Colorado Springs, we wanted to make sure we were not going to occupy an apartment that reeked of cannabis, for we don't care for it nor indulge. However, perhaps to put us at ease, the staff informed us that this was a "marijuana / cannabis" free premises and that infractions of the sort are taken seriously (this is in the lease agreement as well). Sporadic days in January and close to a week straight in February there has been such a strong aroma seeping into our apartment that in the coldest part of the winter we have had to open all the windows and the sliding door just to ventilate our own place to a comfortable living condition - this of course raises our utilities. When complaints are put in, they send their maintenance individual down to the building (outside) to see if he notices an odor...seriously. For noise complaints, a similar course of action is taken - I'm hoping their maintenance guy gets paid a lot because he seems like the only one who works here. In regards to the aforementioned comments on the meadows, I do not know what staff they are referring to because the manager here couldn't care less about the services and tranquility of the residents, just the check she is getting. The only decent human being on the staff is the younger looking, dark haired girl at the front desk (sorry I forgot her name). As if this wasn't enough, there is much more when you consider parking however, I realize some things are out of the control of the complex. Overall, if you don't mind noisy, inconsiderate neighbors and management that won't do anything to accommodate their end of a lease agreement, then The Meadows is the place for you. Nonetheless, if you have a family, have awkward shifts at work, or are single and spend time at home to unwind and relax, look elsewhere.
This place was just what I was looking for. Just for myself and my daughter, it has a little bit of everything for me and her and probably the most pet friendly place in Colorado springs
Very friendly staff. Pet friendly. Quite nice floor plan
