Property Ratings at The Meadows at Ithaca Townhomes
It is with pleasure and confidence that I recommend home town’s meadows any person who may looking for a new apartment. The home towns meadows is doing such a nice job in maintaining their proprieties. Everything about this place is great! ” The new manager Amy and staff are so cooperative and hardworking. She hears and tries to resolves problems and concerns on her early convenience. I really appreciate her efforts and work for the community.
The Meadows is a great place to live! Amy in the leasing office is very helpful and made my move-in really smooth. The apartments are spacious, very affordable, in good condition, and in a very convenient location. You're basically a 5-minute drive from all the important stuff in Ithaca (not that there's much in Ithaca, tbh). Highly recommend this complex for anyone but especially for Cornell students and employees, as it's within walking distance of a bus stop (you'll never find parking on campus anyway).
Plentiful room for a 2-bedroom apartment in a very nice area. Really enjoyed my time here and both maintenance and the community manager, Stacy were extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Property Manager at The Meadows at Ithaca Townhomes, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for your positive review! We love our community and want our residents to enjoy and love their homes!
Michelle, Stacy, Heather, and the entire maintenance crew have done an excellent job of seeing to my needs as a new tenant! They are super responsive and have bent over backwards to see that everything in my new apartment home is clean, comfortable, and safe. I am happy to give a 5-star recommendation based on kind, thoughtful, and prompt customer service. They are all super nice people!
Noise: if you live next to LOUD people you will hear them, including their kids running around and screaming for no reason at all hours of the night; the water pipes are older so they are loud as well when you run the water Ground: they are ok - staff need to ask pet owners to pick up after their animals Safety: not good - packages are stolen from our front door step and kids do not feel safe because of this Neighborhood: the clientele has gone down hill but the location is good Maintenance: it's better but can improve with timeliness and prioritizing projects Staff: only one person is worth talking to and this person can unfortunately can only do so much for you When we moved in things were great - manager did a great job communicating and taking care of matters within the community. Once she left and the new management team arrived, there was a shift of 'it's not our problem, it's your problem.' This also happened with the maintenance staff when we asked for a simple job to be done, only to come home to a mess left in our apartment - the answer we received from the manager was that 'the person was not trained' properly. Tenants are allowed to do whatever they want without repercussions and the staff hide behind NY Laws to shield the offenders - including safety for our kids. We were told to call the cops if there were issues. The location is great, but the issues you'll have to put up with aren't worth it. They are working to upgrade apartments, which do need it, but beware - the photos posted on the apartment website DO NOT reflect the upgrades. They are unfortunately doing what a lot of other complexes are doing and doing everything on the cheap - repainting broken cabinets, 'fixing' light fixtures with new bulbs instead of replacing the entire unit, etc.
I really enjoy living here. These are some of the only townhomes in the Ithaca area, and I really wanted that house feel. Having two stories makes a huge difference! They are also huge compared to some of the other places I looked at. Maintenance is super quick and management communicates with us very effectively and friendly! I also love that I am so close to shopping so I don't have to travel downtown. Being right near the mall and a ton of doctors offices is a great perk. Neighbors are quiet and the place is landscaped beautifully. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nicer and larger place. Plus, I don't have to shovel! They do!!!
The Meadows is a great place to live. The area is safe, and quiet with easy access to the Ithaca Mall, Cayuga Mall, Triphammer Mall, and the airport. Even though you are close to so much shopping, the community is quiet, and you can't tell that so much is just around the corner. The buildings are well maintained, and the property is very clean. The onsite laundry, gym, tennis court/half basketball court are great. There are well placed dog bags, and trash bins to use while dog walking. The staff is friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. If you are looking for an apartment make sure you check here. I am very happy living here and recommend it to anyone that has asked.
The place of the apartment is quite satisfactory because it is close to Cayuga and Ithaca Mall as well as a bus stop within a walking distance. There is a minimal noise and traffic all day long, and the apartment is spacious so that kids can play around safely. The property manager is very kind and quickly deals with any issues with his management team. The apartment is worth considering for your property if you are looking for in Ithaca.
I live in a two bedroom, 1 and ½ bath room town house. The living room and bedrooms are spacious. The neighborhood is safe and clean. I have an assigned parking so I never have to worry about someone taking my spot. There’s great lighting at night and the staff is amazing. The property manager, Ed, is the most helpful person you will ever meet. They’re quick to respond/help and are extremely friendly. There is a gym and laundry room on site which is great, especially for lazy people like me. It’s nice to be able to walk right to those facilities. Right across from those, there’s a basketball and tennis court. I will often see people going for walks or playing at the courts. The neighborhood is equally as friendly as the staff. This complex is also pet friendly. I have a small puppy and will often bring him on walks around the neighborhood. Overall, The Meadows is a safe, clean, friendly environment that I would recommend for any age group.
The Meadows is an awesome, affordable place to live. With almost everything included in the price of rent, you really can't beat the price or the experience of living here. With a fitness center, large laundry room, tennis court, and playground, the amenities included right here in the neighborhood make for a really convenient community that is always active with children, parents, and dog walkers strolling the neighborhood and saying hello. After having countless negative experiences renting through other companies and landlords in Ithaca, I can confidently say that renting at The Meadows is far and away the best option in the area. All of the staff are incredibly nice and welcoming and have made me and my girlfriend feel like we've been friends our whole lives from the minute we moved in! They are willing to go above and beyond to ensure each and every resident feels at home, safe, and valued. They are always available to help us should we need anything or if we just want to chat. The neighborhood and facilities are clean, and if any issue ever pops up in the house, the maintenance staff makes sure they are here quickly and that they get the job done to completion. All in all, I don't have anything negative to say about living here. With all of the amenities, the friendliness of the staff, the close proximity to shopping centers and bus routes, The Meadows is definitely the best rental option in Ithaca.
