Covina-Valley is a large area south of Arrow Highway, about 20 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles. The town is densely populated with modern amenities and several businesses scattered throughout. Renters have a large rental market with a variety of apartments and spacious single-family homes to choose from. Warehouses, manufacturing plants, and offices are situated in the northwestern corner of town while shopping centers are located along the main thoroughfares. Although the neighborhood is accessible to the big city to the west, outdoor recreation is abundant in and around town. If you constantly want to hear dogs barking all day and night this is the place for you.
Good luck with quiet time. Waking up everyday to the sound of a neighbors dog barking isn't so fun. The leasing office has been informed numberous times and yet nothing gets done about this issue. Its very annoying and frustrating especially since I work late nights and can never get to sleep in due to this noise, its such a joke.
I've lived here over a year with my husband. The apartment is great, yes it is older, but it meets all of our needs and it is quite spacious! However, the staff does not follow through with anything written in the lease agreement. The parking here is a nightmare, and it is compounded by the fact that the staff doesn't do anything to stop it. They could tow, but they don't. As someone who tries to follow the rules, it is very difficult for me to see this. And if you ask the staff what the issue is, they say "oh okay." And the staff doesn't have to pay rent or utilities, and they get as many parking spaces as they need! So bottom line if you are a rule follower this might not be for you.
I have been a renter all my life and there are always going to be pros and cons-but this is one of the best apartments I have lived in. To start the apartment I have is a 2 bedroom 1 bath which is perfect for me and my 16 yr old son-the apartment has an AC (not central), a dishwasher and a gas fireplace. A large balcony, seperate dining room and TONS of cabinet/closet space. The downside is there is no water hook-up for the refrigerator for an ice or water dispenser and the is no laundry hookups in the units-but ample laundry facilities throughout. The building is a large 3 story secure complex with elevators, onsite management, pool,jacuzzi and gym. My unit came with a covered parking spot with attched storage which is really quite large - really. There is also 24/7 security. The complex is very family and pet friendly (i have 2 cats) beautifully landscaped and has plenty of street parking for guests --management and maintenece are amazing ! Downside for me-no BBQ on property. Finally the neighborhood -just a few blocks to a top rated high school, immediate freeway access, and i could walk to some great shopping and dining (and im not a big walker lol) - downside -none!-this is a great safe upperclass neighborhood- mostly very large homes in the immediate area. I couldnt be happier and plan on staying a long time ;)
We enjoy living in our community because it is close to all the conveniences, restaurants and shopping. Our unit is spacious. We are comfortable here. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a fitness center that we use many times. Plus we love the landscaping Hawaii-style!
This complex is not new but it's nice. It's great if you have a dog, children or you need freeway access. It is an older place but well maintained and landscaped. The rent is low compared to the surrounding places. From this complex you can easily walk to an in and out, starbucks, LA Fitness and an IKEA among other businesses. The only real issue I have are the laundry machines. There aren't a lot and they tend to hold water which eventually smells funny.
