The vibrant traditions and culture of the south come alive in Memphis, a robust and historic Mississippi riverfront community of over 600,000 neighbors. Memphis is legendary as an incubator for American musical titans, with landmarks like Sun Studios, the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, and Graceland serving as some of the city’s most popular attractions for visitors. The city’s musical tradition continues today, with a packed roster of live music representing every conceivable genre. Just as famous as the music is the food, with Memphis-style barbecue widely available and internationally recognized as a true American delicacy.
But beyond the neon of Beale Street, Memphis offers a delightful living experience steeped in southern charm and modern flair. The cost of living is quite affordable, with apartments, condos, and houses to fit any budget. The rental market is incredibly diverse, from urban efficiency apartments to stunning historic homes on sleepy suburban streets.

Property Ratings at The Melrose Midtown
This is an excellent property that I feel privileged to live in! The work the guys did to make it beautiful is fantastic! I would highly recommend Chris and company over and over again for all home improvement or any needs!
My husband and I love the Melrose. The building is beautiful. The staff is friendly. It is hands down the nicest community in Midtown / Central Gardens. All of our neighbors are professionals like us. It is gated and we feel very safe.
I moved into the Melrose just after the renovation. It is the nicest place I have ever lived. My apartment is huge. The prices are high, but given the size they are actually lower than any of the other nice and high-end buildings I looked at. The pool is nice to have in the summer. Security is great, including a nighttime patrol most days. I like the bike storage room, so I don't need to take my bike into the elevators.
•The construction and renovations seem to never end. • The inside of the apartments are very small and therefore overpriced. • it’s on Lamar which is a very loud & busy street and it does not have the “Midtown Vibe”. • The amenities extremely extremely mediocre. • The apartment front doors extremely thin, it’s doesn’t feel secure & you can hear every thing your neighbors do. • Parking is the worst and they charge you for decent parking spot. • If you ever have guest over, forget it.. the process is so inconvenient.

We are so sorry that you are unhappy. Please call or stop by the office, we are happy to discuss these issues with you. We just won Memphis Best Apartment Community for the second year in a row! It's a beautiful and quiet property, and we want every resident to enjoy their home.
This is my second review. I'm not sure why my other one is not appearing. But I moved into the Melrose in March. It is the nicest place I've ever lived. My apartment is beautiful. The building is great. The staff is wonderful. Most of my neighbors are pleasant and friendly, and I've made several friends. The building is mostly professionals. Very quiet. I'm very pleased with my decision and recommend this building to anyone looking.

We are so thrilled that you love your apartment! The renovation of the Melrose took two years. We are very proud of it and glad that you like the finished product. Let us know if there is anything that you need. Thanks!
I am from out of town and I’ve been a resident of the Melrose Midtown for approximately 2 months now and I have to say I am absolutely pleased with everything. The apartments are tastefully remodeled and are very modern. All of the appliances are new, the flooring is modern and sleek and the bathrooms are updated. Even though the tubs are the originals from the existing building, they do add character to the bathrooms. I reside in a one bedroom and the closet space is ample for me, the bedroom is large and the bathroom has ample space. I was also pleasantly surprised that the building is a couple of minutes drive from a main strip that has pretty much anything you could need. Grocery (Kroger’s), retail, gas stations, gym, Home Depot, planet fitness, therapists, churches...anything you can think of...including several bargain shopping dollar stores. It’s also in close proximity to midtown and downtown for those that want to venture out and dabble in the local cuisine or the more refined restaurants. Even though the building is technically under construction, you couldn’t tell as there is absolutely no noise when I’m home (6p to about 7:30am every morning). The property management is extremely responsive and Janice is absolutely amazing!!! She is extremely personal and is willing to assist any way she can. I have no words about how helpful and kind she has been. The grounds staff (Ricky) and maintenance crew are extremely helpful and responsive and obviously take pride in what they do. I literally texted the property manager with a question one night curious about a potential issue an about 5 minutes later I had a maintenance guy at my door ready to assist. I’m looking forward to the opening of the pool for the summer and being able to utilize the amenities on the grounds. Parking seems to be readily available, but I have a reserved space so I’m not sure if I’m a good judge. Overall this is an excellent and quiet community and building. My only, only hang up (which I quickly got over) was my unit is on the busy side of town...Lamar Ave, but if you’re a deep sleeper like I am you get used to it. I would definitely recommend this building as it feels like home!

Thanks so much for such a long and detailed review of the Melrose! We are glad you love it! As far as parking, there is still room in the main lot, but FYI we expect the new spaces will be ready in just a few weeks! The pool will be open soon too! Thanks again for such a wonderful and thorough review. We are truly grateful.
