In the northeast corner of Baltimore, Loch Raven presents trim lawns and flowerbeds spread before tidy row houses and red-brick apartment buildings. Tree-lined streets lead to the lush Mount Pleasant Park, while restaurants and stores abound along the busy Loch Raven Boulevard and Perring Parkway.
Good Samaritan Hospital, known to locals as "Good Sam," anchors the southern edge of this quintessential Baltimore neighborhood. Loch Raven, tucked between the bustle of downtown and the outer suburbs of Baltimore County, provides residents with an affordable alternative to both.

Property Ratings at The Metropolitan of Baltimore
This place should be your LAST resort. I have killed 8 mice & management has done NOTHING. The rent is overpriced. NONE of the amenities listed are available for tenants. No pool, no gym & neither of the gates are fully functional.
Be ready to live with no water, smell marijuana all the time, hear cars alarms with no one to hear you if you want to complain. In addition, deal with dishonest people. The Property manger is always on a meeting! I have killed 4 mice in this apartment and yet they did not fix the problem.
The customer service is nice and Maintenance responds swiftly. However, This place have a huge rodent problem!!!. Just this weekend we caught 4-5 mice and that's a HUGE problem as I am petrified and it actually caused traumatic stress and an asthma attack and I had to stay in a hotel. This is beyond irritating and frustrating as we just got some new neighbors young kids all on the floor and so I think because they had to seal up holes for the new residents these STUPID RODENTS had no where to run to. Been living here for 4 years and this is the most in literally one night and it's cringing. We will not be living here after this lease is up because I almost had a freaking heart attack and i'm still traumatized but God is in Control to breaking this lease sooner. DO NOT MOVE HERE. All UTILITIES INCLUDED is the only bonus. The rodent problem is not worth the stay. I hope this helps someone.
Manager Dena is very rude. Takes no time out of her day to assist you with your concerns, even tries to avoid you for weeks. Other workers are nice and helpful, including the maintence staff and office assistants. Apartment is spacious and neighbors are kind.
Since we moved in there have been nothing but problems! First and foremost we have a rodent problem. Mice will pop up in the apartment from cracks in the wall and this is only our second month living here! We have holes in the wall in our shower and our clothes and floors get wet in our closet. Our other bathroom tub faucets leek on to the bathroom floor... I'm tired and frustrated and I have yet to get things fixed. I pay waaaaayyyyyyyyyy too much money to be going through this. I'm about ready to break my lease because I absolutely can not deal with this!
I love living here and in this community. The staff are professional yet friendly. I enjoy all the amenities The Metropolitan of Baltimore has to offer, especially the fitness center where i get a great work out. The constant upkeep of the property both interior and exterior along with our Security Guards are greatly appreciated I have recommend The Metropolitan Apartments to others.
have stayed here for a year not. sad that i have to move out. best apartments i have ever stayed at.
I had great service here! The community is close to my new school, I'm a teacher an I wanted a community which will offer me more for my money. I spend most of my free time in the lounge and fitness center. I CAN'T WAIT for the pool to reopen this summer! I definitely recommend this community!
