Downtown Rochester straddles the Genesee River, wrapped by the semi-circle formed by the Inner Loop and I-490. This is the hub for business, entertainment, and culture. Rochester is home to Eastman Kodak, Frontier Communications, Bausch and Lomb, and Xerox; it is also the location of the historic Geva Theatre Center, the Strong Museum, and the legendary Eastman Theatre. And while you'll see plenty of skyscrapers and busy streets, Downtown Rochester is also beautiful -- amazing views of the river, public artwork, and historic architecture blend to create a photo-worthy neighborhood.
Your Downtown Rochester apartment will provide short -- most likely walkable -- commutes, easy access to mass transit, and amazing museums, shops, theaters, sports arenas, and restaurants. Several parks are also located in the neighborhood, providing peaceful green space in the heart of this urban setting.

Property Ratings at The Metropolitan
I’ve been living in the metropolitan for almost three years and have absolutely loved it. I’m moving away to take a job in another city. The units have high quality finishes and the views are stunning. The sunsets truly never get old. I definitely feel like I’ve gotten much more for my money compared to the other new downtown developments. The security staff is excellent and is always willing to help with the most minor requests. Best of all is the management. The Gallinas are so easy to work with and handle maintenance requests very quickly. They don’t try to nickel and dime residents with late fees and whatever else typical property managers try to pull on residents. They truly care about making everyone happy and it’s been a joy renting from them. I’m confident nowhere I rent from the in the future will come close. If there’s a drawback to living in the Metropolitan, it’s the construction noise. There has been some form of construction noise pretty much the entire time I’ve lived here. As I’m writing this, the city is jackhammering on top of the parking garage. It’s extremely irritating but this is an extreme case. It’s usually a truck’s backup chime or some sort of noise from machinery. Obviously, construction eventually ends and so will the noises but it’s been three years for me and it’s still going on so there’s a question as to when it will end.
