Santa Fe is a blend of the cultures that established the area. In this city, the Old West meets Native American, Spanish, and Mexican cultures. The locals are passionate about art, history, and active lifestyles, with all three easily accessible from anywhere in town. The center of it all is the Santa Fe Plaza, where you can shop, visit art galleries, grab a quick bite to eat, or just sit in the sun.
This historic city is packed full of traditions and excitement. The Burning of Zozobra, also known as Old Man Gloom, is one of the city’s favorite traditions that takes place in September each year. More than 50,000 people turn out each year to cheer on the burning and take part in the festivities. Year-round fun is provided by the countless museums, breweries, delicious restaurants, and shopping destinations scattered throughout town.

Property Ratings at The Mica
The MICA is a great place to live. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The views are great. The location is great for shopping and downtown access.

Hi, your review about The Mica made our day! Thanks so much for taking the time to write. It's our pleasure to assist!
Choosing The Mica for our new home was a great move. The location is awesome. Robyn and the staff went above and beyond to make the process smooth and us feel welcome, even as we were applying remotely with the added stress of renting site unseen. Robyn went out of her way to make sure the unit was ready for us. Love the location, the arroyo, the valet trash, dog—friendly, clean and well-maintained environment… and of course the pool and hottub and the clean gym. Very happy.

Very well located at the border of Santa Fe-Quiet-comfortable and clean-(so far have heard very little noise coming from unit to unit-and I live on the 2nd floor)-Helpful friendly staff who made my transition with little to no hic-ups-!

Hi - thanks for letting us know we went Beyond Expectations! As always, reach out at any point if we can do anything for you!!
The Mica has a beautiful view and a convenient location for work, but for the amount of rent paid monthly, there are too many issues to enjoy it.

Quiet neighborhood. Good location on the north side of town.

I'm telling everyone to not fall prey to pictures or pleasantries of the "management" because the reality after they get your money is FAR below what you thought you would get for the price.

The Mica looks great in the pictures but the reality of living here is far different. "Management" is MIA literally all of the time. The office is closed a couple days a week. Greystar is the mgmt. co. & does not care beyond the bottomline. It actually has the Mgr. of this places "managing" another apt. complex; enough said! The absolute minimal is done here and the construction of the units is with the cheapest material available. The floors are crappy rug or stuck on vinyl which peals up. Be aware of the added on cost of utilities which equals ~$200/mo! ANd forget about parking if you have more then 1 car. You ONLY get 1 spot. You can hear everything: dogs, neighbors. etc. And the laundry is a joke. They are routinely broken and the floor is flooded when they are used. The dryers take 3-4 cycles and ~$6/load! NOT at all what was advertised and in my opinion NOT worth it. LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE for your wallet & your quality of life!!!

It is a nice apartment with solid amenities, with the price reflective of that.

The leasing team were great, very attentive and provided professional service which made the entire process easy. The property is peaceful and close to downtown where we love to spend time. Overall, very satisfied with our decision to move here.

Thank you very much for the 5 star review. The team will be thrilled to know our residents are enjoying the community. If there is ever anything we can do for you please do not hesitate to let us know.
The Mica is a good location but that is ALL it offers. The management is non-responsive, the water goes out & we don't receive any updates for ~ 11 hours, there is ice that you slip/fall on that maintenance see and is told about but it's not salted, and the "gym" is nothing but weights - the new treadmills can't even be plugged in and have just sat there unused - for months. Know what you're getting into here. It could be a great place but b/c they only care about the bottomline, IT IS NOT.

I feel unsafe living in these apartments and would not recommend anyone to live here! The management does nothing to make sure the residents are safe and generally don't care about the resident's wellbeing and safety.

The Mica is a great place to live. The views are excellent. It is a friendly, quiet apartment community. I would recommend The Mica to anyone.

Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments about The Mica!
The Mica falsely advertises and actively deceives prospective tenants as to the reality of the amenities offered. The Fitness Center is an empty room, laundry facilities may be in every building but they are not functional for months and mailbox keys are not given at move-in; you get access to your delivered mail weeks after you move-in. The Mica only cares about making money. Do not believe the photos!!!

I would recommend the Micah because it is a safe, quiet, and great place to live.
The Mica is a quiet community where residents are friendly. I enjoy the nearby hiking trails and nature surrounding our neighborhood. The pool is lovely in summer and staff is friendly and accessible. The package delivery center keeps packages safe and residents look out for one another and neighbors actually know and talk with one another, which is a treasure in todays world.
Safe environment. Clean areas. Close to downtown and highway. Pet friendly. Professional and courteous staff!

I have lived all over the country and I am beyond impressed by both James and Natalie. They maintain professionalism, kindness, empathy and emotional safety while also getting tasks completed in a timely fashion. They are organized and prove they love what they do. Thank you James and Natalie, for helping me to feel safe where I live. That's so important to me.

Thank you for the review. I would like to ask what we could have done better to make this a 5 star review?
I have been here less than a week but have enjoyed the quiet environment, friendly and helpful staff and neighbors. I’ve used the pool and hot tub twice between unpacking. Looking forward to the sauna and workout room completion of remodel .
We love our new apartment at The Mica. The leasing staff is always friendly and helpful. The grounds keepers are also friendly and a joy to talk to. We got lucky and scored an amazing view! The apartment was clean and well-maintained. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The AC works perfectly!
Moving into the Mica has been a real pleasure. The Mica staff was attentive, easy to communicate with, and got me set up in a new home quickly. The grounds and maintenance crews are always working on a number of improvements around the property. Everything looks nice and feels secure. The adjacent open space is beautiful and great for morning and evening hikes.
This is a great apartment complex with excellent management and maintenance. It's a bit pricey, but we get the same views as much more expensive places right next door. The best perk of living here is the free access to open space hiking out your front door!!!
The staff is always friendly, and you can count on them to help in any way they can. It feels like they know us, and we can talk openly about anything we may need. In addition, the apartments are big and comfortable.
The location of the Mica is one of the best in Santa Fe but it is a typical apartment complex run by a large company that neglects obvious things that need improving.
The Mica management team and maintenance staff are extremely courteous and helpful.
An older apartment complex, but with heart. A new management eager to serve the community.
When I first moved here, I felt like it was family. Sharon, Joni, Carlos and maintenance crew were all great, extremely professional and trustworthy. We now have the new mica staff. No introduction to who was who, which is concerning, the maintenance staff uses profanity to each other. I really don’t feel safe with them in my apartment at all. Complaints of loud neighbors fighting, playing loud music are dismissed by whomever in running this place. I am really turned off . This place has taken a dive downhill since Sharon and the old staff left. I will be looking elsewhere when my lease is up . Just not the same. Management is very unprofessional in my opinion. What a shame.
I have lived at Los Pinones for almost 2 years now. It is very quiet up here on the hill and it is so nice to have assigned parking. The office staff has been so welcoming and professional it has been a joy to be taken care of like family. Donna, the manager, has treated me like a brother and been a real buddy. Sharon is always available and at her desk with a great attitude and answers. When you are single the support staff is very important as one wants to be treated like they are home when they are home. The grounds are kept very well, clean and well cared for. Dumpsters always have room and are well placed. Maintenance staff is responsive and has a good attitude. I ask for repairs and they are usually done within a short amount of time. Rent here is well set for a quality apartment complex. Nice big pool, Jacuzzi, water is always clean and there are fun social gathering where we all get together and meet other residents. Overall my time here has been enjoyable and I have been proud of where I live.
We have lived here over a year and the complex has been bought by new management and there is a lot of construction going on. There is NO POOL in service at this time. The pool was to have been opened in late May but then that was postponed for repairs. Then it took several weeks for an inspection after repairs, so the opening date kept being pushed forward. We keep asking and are being told there are more problems with the pipes to the pool. Now we hear they are going to repair them next week. Then it will probably take a few weeks for inspections, and IF there are no more bad pipes it might open in a few weeks (which keeps happening, and rumors are among many disgruntled neighbors that the pool will not be opened AT ALL as there are too many bad pipes). Who knows? NOBODY, it seems. The AC compressors are above us on the roof and when the neighbor's AC turns on 24/7 365 days a year, it sounds like a jet engine taking off and rattles our bedrooms and our nerves. After we complained about it many times, management finally tried to fix the problem but they cannot. The air ducts here are very dirty but they do not clean them. Our old bathtubs were painted and are now peeling. The floors under the carpets are sagging in several places. The kitchen cupboards are cheap plywood and have been painted with very cheap flat paint so you cannot even wipe them off easily. This is NOT a luxury apartment complex at all.
Los Pinones is a good value. The grounds / pool /fitness center are well-kept, and the location (close to downtown, Devargas center, food co-op) is excellent. The buildings are older - I've experienced sink back-ups due to clogs caused by upstairs residents. I can also hear the upstairs people. Fortunately, maintenance responds quickly to service requests. If moving here, it would definitely be better to live on the uppermost floor.
