Downtown Spokane offers residents something unique: waterfalls in the middle of the city. Residents of Downtown Spokane enjoy watching the water at play as they walk along the banks of the Spokane River. Riverfront Park, the site of the 1974 World's Fair, holds more attractions, including the INB Performing Arts Center, the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club, and a carousel that's more than 100 years old. Also in the park, you can find the Spokane Shock Arena, which regularly hosts arena football, concerts, and figure skating.
Downtown Spokane makes it easy for residents to walk to work or stroll the streets to shop, dine, or grab a beer. The Flour Mill, a renovated, 100-year-old mill, houses eclectic specialty shops and fine dining options while restaurants such as Mizuna and Anthony's at Spokane Falls let diners enjoy a view of the river as they eat. Downtown Spokane is home to Washington State University Spokane, and just across the river to the northeast is Gonzaga University.

Property Ratings at The Michael Building Downtown Luxury Apts
I’m really surprised at how hard it is to find a single review on this building since it has been in service for so long. So here it is. I hope this review saves someone all the drama we experienced while living here. Pros: -Awesome location downtown with plenty to do and see -Luxury amenities -Fairly modern (almost a decade old design) *Appears well built -Big dog friendly -well lit with huge windows Cons: -Units are NOT sound proof. -Only worth it if you are on the top floor (if you can ignore the sound of the city -Floor/Ceiling is thinner than the walls -Hard wood floors and exposed brick amplifies the sound from neighboring units. -Barking dogs with no accountability -Incompetent management -Appliances not regularly maintained I.e. dishwasher packed with mysterious orange sludge that prevented normal operation. -Elevator sounds like it’s going to fall apart and was making error messages for a month but was left in operation. (Management solution, -don’t get stuck without your phone-) Brilliant… -Front doors are heavy and spring loaded so you can hear everyone’s door slam wether they mean to or not. -Terrible street-only, metered parking( there are only 4 secure parking spots for tenants, but you can be put on a waiting list with the other 13 units. Which you still pay extra for) -The entire block is a hotbed for drug activity and screaming homeless people. Could be a pro if you’re a fan of heroine and watching people screaming and throwing fits outside your window. -If your upstairs neighbor gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you can follow their footsteps from one room to the next. Due to the amplification effect these units have, on multiple occasions I have thought someone was in my apartment besides myself. This can be very anxiety inducing. I could go on and on about the amount of noise these apartments let in but hopefully this will save you months of sleepless nights or interrupted time with your partner. We have filled complaints, confronted neighbors, begged for solutions and we’re accused of harassment and it was suggested that legal action would be taken if we “complained again”. Very surreal situation actually, being gaslit by your landlord. Cannot recommend this building to anyone and I wish we never lived here.
