Property Ratings at The Milano
I moved into my 2bd rm with a balcony in 2020. The office staff has always been extremely kind and helpful. Parking is really good - resident parking (option for reserve parking for extra fee) + 1 vistor pass. However, there is ALWAYS street parking. Pool was dope during the summer, never used the gym - however, a quick 2 miles around the neighborhood felt good. I never felt unsafe here. Walls are a little thin so you can hear your neighbors esp if they’re loud enough. Paid rent though app - break down of all charges (including water, sewer & service fee). It cost nothing to pay with your bank account vs paying w a debit or credit card. Military discount available. For the most part, I love this place and have yet to find anything with a similar price point, amenities and peace.

Air-conditioner never worked doing summer rent is not accurate they will always charge $200 more
Property Manager at The Milano, Responded To This Review
We are sorry you feel you were not taken care of when you had an issue, that was not our intent. We welcome all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share. Please reach us in the office if you need anything at all.
There has been nothing but issues since I moved in. My car was towed due to a office error, my rent always has some sort of random fee added on. I have had issues with roaches and mice. The air conditioning was turned on almost 2 weeks after the promised date in the mid rise building. The air conditioning has gone off at random times since the summer began. Updates on the repairs of air conditioning problems are rarely given. Compensation for any of these issues are never given. Yet the main office wants the rent on time every month, even though we are never given everything that we are paying for. It’s truly a sad place to live. I have attached the current temperature inside of my apartment on a 93 degree day. This is ridiculous. I have also posted a picture of what was found behind my refrigerator after I broke a glass. There is nothing but mice droppings and urine.
This was my first apartment ever and when I tell you I can’t wair to my lease is up to move I’m so happy I will never move back here again I lived here for 3 years the first year was Good but after it’s been held my second apartment had mold the unit I’m residing in now has mice problem the AC unit keeps breaking and management is has not compensated any one or addressed the issue in a timely manner and my rent is paid and always been paid on time this is ridiculous I would not suggest for anyone to move here they lie so much to get you in the door just for your money. I referred a friend and took them almost 3 months to give me money off my rental well. The mid rise building is nasty and funky smell like wet dogs and it’s always bugs in the hallway, kids kicking on doors and running. Residents who have dogs leave dog pop on the floor. Maintenance is lazy they come when they want to and barely fixed it since I been in my unit the smoke detection and carbon monoxide detector have went dead every 3 months since moving in here. Wash machine takes your money the dryers barely dry your clothes. The property manger don’t address things as he should for residents who are spending there hard earn working money for he acts like he doesn’t care and that unprofessional. He has his dog in multiple units that are suppose to be renting out and not suppose to have his dog in OTHER UNITS. They don’t keep the pool clean like they suppose to unless you speak up and say something then they will you constantly have to remind them about their job which is horrible
Was going to move here but you have to pay gas, water and electric..when I was in the office a lady came in who was taking them to court to get her deposit back.
These apartments are pretty decent. The neighborhood is a mixture of everyone. I really don't have too many complaints.
I just moved into my apartment on September 4th, 2015 into a one bedroom apartment. This is my first apartment and it is very convenient as it is right beside Southern Ave metro station and right beside 495/95/295. I currently just accepted a job in DC and I am thrilled about my new commute. Even though the washer and dryer is not in the unit it is on the main floor in every building. I like that there is a gym on site and maintenance is very prompt with request. Rent is a great price especially for my first apartment. The office staff is nice and helpful. They also have online payments, apartments are renovated, and I was happy to move into an apartment with fairly new carpeting. I am thrilled about my new apartment.
The apartments are very spacious, especially the bedrooms. The utilities are included, except electric. The inspections and maintainance concens are handled in a timely manner. There is an issue with outside bugs entering the buildings and apartments. However, if that problem is reported an exterminator comes out right away. I love that the complex is monitored by PG police to ensure a safe living environment.
This apartment complex is really quiet and friendly. I have lived here for about 8 months and I only have great things to share about Fox Hills North, such as the rental office; it is well kept and organized. The leasing manager Andrea is wonderful, she is very approachable, helpful and handles my maintenance issue in a well timely matter. You have it all living here. It's very affordable, spacious apartment living, nice swimming pool where both adults and children can enjoy, close to restaurants, and clothing stores (Tangler Outlet), minutes from the beltway and the National Harbor. It's a nice place to live!
I'm currently renting an amazing two bedroom apartment in oxon hill, MD the location is perfect near the National Harbor this is my first apartment and I adore it it's very spacious for me and my 2 baby girls. The kitchen is complete with granit counter tops and breakfast bar complete with a dish washer and carpet floors through out the apartment. The neighborhood is very quite and not to mention the rent is very affordable with this being my first apartment things are very new to me but the rental office staff makes it a lot easier addressing any and all of my concerns I love this apartment
Area is quiet and safe, basic immenities. I've had no problems with management
I have recently moved into my first apartment at The Milano Apartments in May and I must say this is a great experience! The people are friendly and the leasing office staff is excellent. Our complex comes equipped with a 3-9 foot deep pool, a children's playground, a grilling area, a bark park for the little critters, a community room and the best part is the fitness center! The apartment itself is another story... As soon as you walk in you notice how spacious the living room and dining room is. There is definitely more than enough space for a whole living room and dining room set! The kitchen is just LOVE with the breakfast bar so I can put my cute bar stools to add to my dining room set. I just love the black appliances in the kitchen too! Overall this property gets 5 stars from my family and I. We would recommend anyone who lives in the DC/METRO area.
