With a history dating back to 1688, when the French Huguenots landed at Long Island shore near today’s New Rochelle, Downtown New Rochelle has long attracted new residents with its stunning beauty and thriving businesses. Normal Rockwell, who grew up in the area, used Downtown New Rochelle as inspiration for several of his paintings. Considered one of the best places to live, New Rochelle contains some of the nation’s most expensive real estate – but affordable options are equally available, especially in the downtown area.
The historic Downtown neighborhood features amazing views of the Long Island Sound and the Manhattan skyline. Extremely walkable, residents head out to explore the many shops and restaurants along the shoreline. The architecture alone is inspiring, ranging from Art Deco to Romanesque to Colonial Revival. Getting around the New York area is easy from New Rochelle.

Property Ratings at The Millennia
Great location, 4 min walk to the train, downtown. Amazing amenities, the best management team. The apartment is spacious, with huge terrace, it’s always clean and smells good. My dog loves to live here too, she gets treats all the time. We have roof top get togethers, the management team treats us time to time. Its really a great place to live
The building is amazing w/ the best amenities. The apartments are spacious and include beautiful and energy effecient appliances. Management is so attentive and quickly resolves any issues that may arise (issues hardly arise because the building is so perfect!). It is rare that building management really cares about tenants- that is not an issue at the Millennia. It is a dream living here!
Staff goes above and beyond to help tenants to settle in. Our apartment is great: finishes are of excellent quality(not like in some new developments where cabinets start chipping few month after move in due to nice looks bad low quality).
I highly recommend this building for anyone considering the New Rochelle area. The architecture and oasis of the buidling are amazing - pictures do not do it justice. Staff and tenant's alike are great!
I am so impressed with everything about this community, most importantly the management. Great friendly responsive management staff. For apartment living and comfort The Millennia is where you want to live.
Exceptional! This is one of the most beautiful Apartments I have ever lived in.
There is no place like the Millennia. Everything is top notch. I have been waiting for years for a building like this and I am never leaving.
I love living here. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend living here.
