Historically one of the economic and cultural powerhouses of the Midwest, Detroit is full of people who are working towards redevelopment and revitalization. Known as the origin of the automobile industry, the Motor City is moving towards a future of economic opportunity with roots far beyond the world of cars. The cost of living is low while rental rates for apartments, condos, and houses are highly attractive for any budget.
Monuments paying tribute to Detroit’s rich history are everywhere while astonishing architecture and public artwork is scattered throughout the city. As the birthplace of Motown, Detroit has a long tradition of producing legendary musicians like Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder. This tradition continues today and it’s easy to find live performances from every genre.
The city is a great destination for sports lovers as one of the few American cities with major leagues in football, baseball, basketball, and hockey.

Property Ratings at The Millie on Brush
I enjoyed the following living here from 2016 to 2019: 1) The best location in Detroit - Walk to work and goodbye to your commute and the wasted hours each week in traffic. Want to go to Canada? Just take the Tunnel Bus down the street. Greektown, Campus Martius, the Riverwalk, Hart Plaza and the Cobo Center are right at your doorstep! I also felt safe here. 2) Great amenities - The best amenity is having the Millender Center People Mover stop right in the building. The Sky Club is amazing with gorgeous views. The indoor lap and gym are both very nice. The City Market is very beneficial. The rooftop has one of the best views in Detroit. 3) Excellent service - In my experience, this is ultimately the factor that makes or breaks the living experience in any community. Caitlin in the leasing office is a phenomenal professional. We had layoffs at my company and by my planning in advance of my renewal, she helped me with a month-to-month option. One summer my central AC unit died. Within a few hours, they brought temporary window units to my apartment until they could get it fixed. The other huge asset to their team is Roger, one of the front desk concierges. This man is an expert on Detroit and he gave me a lot of advice on safety in the city and things going on. 4) Transportation and parking benefits - I mentioned the People Mover access above, but the new SMART express buses pick up within a block on Jefferson. The QLine is only a few blocks away. If you working for some preferred employers downtown, they will even pay for your parking at Renaissance City. 5) Community events - There is a great sense of community at RCA and it's pretty diverse in ages and backgrounds. The management also do a great job creating changes to mingle with movie nights, card games, Monday Night Football on the big screen on the rooftop, July 4th fireworks and the monthly events in the Sky Club. Is Renaissance City perfect? No. But it's pretty close to it and it's the best place I have ever lived. Yes, it's on the expensive side but you get what you pay for from a location and amenities perspective. That's the cost of living in a booming downtown Detroit and not having to spend 2 hours of your day in traffic. If you like urban living and want the best community in the CBD, you will not find a better community.
Can't ask for anything more. Greatest location in the city. The people mover will drop you off at your buildign. The QLine is a block away. Quick walk across the street to St Andrews Hall. Ren Cen is a tunnel walk through away. Hart Plaza. Campus Martius. Move here and you'll never leave the city again.
I LOVE THIS APARTMENT! First and foremost, you can't beat the price for a good-sized downtown high-rise unit. I'm renewing my lease for the first time after 12 months and my rent did not even go up. I also have an AMAZING view of Comerica Park. There is a market downstairs that is a life saver. If I ever forget something at the grocery store I can count on finding it downstairs. They also have fresh made meals throughout the day. The maintenance is always timely and efficient. The gym, which is shared with the Courtyard Marriott, is huge. I do not have to bother with getting a gym membership so I'm saving extra money. There is 24 hour concierge, so this building is more than safe. There is an attached garage so you don't have to worry about parking in an open lot during the winter time. I can't say enough about how much I love RCA. If you're moving to downtown Detroit, move here!
