Property Ratings at The Mills at 601
Apartments are not maintained especially before someone moves in! One issue after another since I moved in and management puts you off! I would not recommend this place to anyone and when my lease is up I am out! Plus pool has been down for months!!!!
That’s about all that is decent in this apartment. When we moved in there was water damage on the ceilings and the carpets were disgusting! We even had a carpet cleaner come twice and they were still awfully brown where it was supposed to be gray. The management is so rude and never answers the phone when you have an issue. Don’t use the stove too much either. The heat will cause the door screws to come loose and because they are so short it will fall off. Literally. We stopped using the stove within the first 3 months of moving in because of it. We’re in a bigger apartment and have to close half of the air vents to get any air to the back of the apartment. So it’s either be cool in the main room and sweating when you sleep or be cool in bed and sweating when you have visitors. All they could say was the AC unit was meant for a smaller apartment. Then why is it in a 3 bedroom!?!? It’s all just been quite ridiculous and to say that we are ready to move is an understatement.

While we attempt to answer every call as it comes in, the team is sometimes busy assisting other residents. Voicemails are gladly returned as soon as possible. We are aware of issues with some stove handles and swiftly repair them when reported. A check of our records does not show any recent maintenance requests regarding the other issues you've mentioned, but we are eager to resolve them for you. As your name is not connected to this review, we cannot reach out personally. Our manager would like to speak with you as soon as possible and invites you to call, stop by the office, or submit a request via your resident portal so she may begin to improve your opinion and provide you with the five-star experience you deserve.
The apartments used to be fine up until 2 years ago, now all that’s there are police, graffiti, trash overflowing and greedy landlords always trying to get money. They don’t respond to noise complaints, something not working in your apartment or even people parking in a assigned parking spot that you paid for. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this apartment complex to anyone, very grateful I no longer can say I live there

While we always appreciate feedback, we're disheartened to learn you have an unfavorable opinion of life at our apartments. The staff eagerly responds to maintenance requests, and our standard completion time for work orders is 24-48 hours. Our office team gladly handles noise complaints during office hours. For complaints after hours, we advise contacting local law enforcement. We also recommend recording the excessive sound from within your home during the duration of the disturbance. Our manager can use this recording to assist in resolving the issue. For the peace of mind of our residents, police occasionally patrol the community. They also assist in towing vehicles that have violated our parking policy. Our team regularly walks the property to ensure it remains tidy, and we are unaware of any graffiti on our premises. Dumpster collections now take place four days a week, and other options are also under consideration to improve our trash solution. We'd appreciate learning more about your experience and would like the opportunity to improve your opinion. Please contact us at your earliest convenience if there is anything you'd like to discuss.
I have had a great experience here. Hillary does a wonderful job in management and I have no plans on leaving anytime soon. They have gotten my work jobs done quickly and the rent is very reasonable.

In this Day and Time it's a rare thing to get Genuine Customer Service. The Mills at 601 has the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I've gone SO MANY PLACES and the Customer Service was below zero. Shelly and Rachael are THE BEST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They're Very Attentive! These Day's I just don't see that kind of caring. And, they're Very Genuine. If You're reading this "Review" call them and See for Yourself. These Apartment Broker's will find You what You need, to their ability. What are You waiting on? Awesome staff and maintenance employees and have zero complaints from them. But the property itself is horrible. Everything in your apartment will be well maintained but the area is so loud. The complex is off two busy intersection, there is a large shopping center across from the apartments, also a fire department across the street that stays busy especially on the weekends until 2 a.m. And the neighborhood across from the apartments have numerous dogs that love to howl when the fire department turns there sirens on. Do not live downstairs, you will hear every sound your upstairs neighbors make. Even if they are polite enough to try and be quiet. These apartments originally had carpet and was replaced with wood flooring which in my opinion was a huge mistake. Before you move here I would recommend sitting there on a Friday or Saturday night and you will hear the noise and it makes it so hard to sleep seven days a week. The only reason I gave one star is I can honestly say I never had a full nights sleep on the bottom floor. Especially for the price you pay. Also pay attention to the fine print if you move in when they have a ‘move in special’

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This place looks great on the outside but as soon as you sign the lease, it goes downhill. They make it seem like a wonderful place to live and you will be very happy here but that is not the case. The floors creak, they walls are peeling and the ceiling has water damage. When something goes wrong they don't let the residents know unless you call them numerous times to see when the issue will be fixed. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially not to families. Look elsewhere, you'll be happier.

Not worth the space you’re given. Cars getting broken into every weekend. My car was egged by kids who live in the complex. Rude staff. Two machines in the gym and there aren’t even any lights in the living room. Outrageously high rent just for some stainless steel appliances.
