Property Ratings at The Mirada
The maintenance and management are terrible!! The “vents” from the garage are extremely loud, can’t hear the tv or ever open your windows, and they run about every 10 minutes. The walls are paper thin, we can hear everything our neighbors do, not to mention how loud it is when the residents above us walk. The halls smell like wet dog most of the time. You get charged to use the conference rooms, commons room, and guest suite. This place is terrible, we can’t wait to get out of our lease! :(
I am 31 & I've lived on my own since I was 18 due to the Military. In my 13 years of experience with different residential facilities in 10 different states, I have never experienced the treatment that I have received by the representatives of Krueger development. In 2015 I lived in Chantacleer. A few months into my lease I dropped my keys down the elevator shaft & called the 24/7 service number. Maintenance didn't answer for 11 hours; I slept in the stair way.Fast forward to September 2017 when I decide to move into The Mirada. A few weeks in we told the front that key pad in the entrance was too loud and that we could hear all conversations in our bedroom, I work 3rd shift often & have sleep apnea.This was ignored for months, my wife & I resorted to taping the speaker. I finally ran into the man removing the tape, non other than the man who left me stranded in the stair way in 2015. Then we were ROBBED!!!!when we got back in January, my wife's apple watch was gone & there was a paint stain on our couch. the secretary told us that 3 people had been authorized to enter our home! The comment was later retracted, and changed to 2 employees. The secretary said she would reach out to the property manager which she couldn't even do. when we spoke to the property manager, he informed us that he did not know of this incident!We filed a police report, contacted our carrier and the manager said he would help. We waited about 2 weeks and nothing,so we went to the manager's office again & he didn't even remember our names. He later said he'd questioned his employees but did not 'believe' that they were responsible for the theft. We told him that the cop called us and believed otherwise, so we gave him her info and he said he'd reach back, and he DID NOT!We expressed our discomfort living here,& that we would like our lease to be cut short, he declined. 7 MONTHS have passed and I am still woken by people's conversations, dog barking that lasts for 30 minutes straight, and dealing with unresolved theft, disrespect and deceit, nothing has changed. We recently learned that when we signed for what we agreed to be a 9 month lease, we were actually committing to a 12 mo lease without our knowledge!!We reached out to the owner of Krueger development last week a couple of times, & he still hasn't called back. Yesterday we put in our 2 month notice because we cannot continue living here it is NOT WORTH IT!
The problems here are not dealt with at all or it takes half a year to get half of a solution in order. They simply don’t care, which is odd because that happens to be their job. This goes for the main office to the property manager on up to an unresponsive owner. Don’t let the nice looks fool you that’s all they have going for them. The No smoking building has cigarette butts all over the front, tiny dogs that live to bark and bark to live (early in the morning late at night and anytime in between). In December a personal item went missing I was told by the front office there was 3 people in my apartment to change an air filter.... WHAT?! That’s dumber than 3 people to change a lightbulb of course this story was amended by management, and there was paint on my couch like they sat around watching my TV. live somewhere else or you’ll regret it.
This property is not done. Sister apartment properties that were started 2 years ago are not done as well. Second floor is not completed, so don't move into any other floors (1 or 3) due to the construction noise. The pool is finally open but with the weather warming up there is no where outside to sunbathe or sit. Mud surrounds the complex so you are trapped in what will be a very hot pool area this summer. There is no fence around the property which leads to security concerns as well. Street noise is high during rush hour. Common areas that are to be available for the residents are often reserved and locked down during the weekends. Be aware that the internet service offered is slow, often not available, and security issues should be asked. Tech support is not available. Parking garage is leaking water down the inside walls. We will continue to advise on the property. Thanks
After living in a villa the club concept gives us the security of after hours pass code to enter. The indoor exercise room means no going through the snow to exercise in the winter. The indoor pool sets it out as elite and complemented by the theater that seats 20 in recliners. We have company coming in at times and there is a luxurious hotel room in the complex we can set aside for them. The game room gives you pool table plus many table games to pick from. The conference room and the party room are being used quite often. Mirada is worth checking out the next time you move.
