The Monroe

Moved in and found moldy turkey under my sink… kid you not. Both our bathroom doors are coming off of the panels, our kitchen counter wobbles so much we can’t eat on it, they spray painted our doors shut so you have to body slam them to shut, tons of other stuff I won’t even get in to. But don’t let the fake reviews bait you. They try and get people who go on tours to review the tour to bring their average up. It’s not actually reviewed that high amongst people who live here.

A great option for students with enough space and with a good price. Plus a community pool and gym is provided with only a fews minutes to walk to.

This place has great value for what you’re paying! They have many amenities and a great staff. They fix your problems and are constantly upgrading the units yearly!

The Monroe is a good option for students. It is affordable, you have access to bus routes including one that goes to campus, and it is not a far drive from campus. It is also very close to restaurants and target and Kroger. They just recently installed new appliances in the kitchen and have just built a new gym, as well as are remodeling the club house. The bedrooms and living area are spacious, my only complaint is there isn’t a lot of counter space and cabinet space for 4 people in the 4 bedrooms

It’s a convenient location with bus routes, the mall, grocery stores, and more that are just a walk away. Maintenance and the office have good communication and the renovations are nice. The 2 bedroom has good space and it’s a quiet neighborhood as well.

The new gym is really nice and the mail system is pretty good

The apartment feels more like a neighborhood and is always finding new areas to improve and renovate. Affordable, accessible, nearby campus with convenient bus routes

I love living at the monroe and all the amenities they provide. The bus for one is amazing and so is the new gym! However, I wish they opened the pool sooner like April.

They have recently done updates on the apartments and have been renovating the club house too! The new gym is great and the study area is very nice place to get work done! Everyone who works here are very nice and will work with you to help with your problems. I’m excited to see the new hangout area that’s opening next week:)

The Monroe apartments have the best location. Kroger is right behind the apartment, the bus stop is very easily accessible with great frequency. The rent of the place is also really affordable with in unit washer and dryers. The kitchen is sometimes a right fit for 4 people but it works out okay

This apartment complex is of great value. Bus stop access, amenities, and location are all really good.

The 2-bedroom apartments at the Monroe are the perfect size for you and your roommate! Especially in the upgraded units, the finishings are modern and attractive. I love using the gym and outdoor courts as well!

My roommates and I couldn’t be more satisfied living here. We have a tight budget and the monroe allows us to manage by keeping their rates lower than most Bloomington apartments. Not to mention the location, it’s less than a 10 min drive to campus with a grocery store next to it. We also got a dog halfway through the year and they were understanding with the process. Our dog absolutely loves it here. The surroundings allow for walks that never get repetitive.

The apartments are nice. Maintenance is pretty quick, always the next day! I had separate bedrooms/washrooms. It is decently priced, in walkable distance to Kroger and it is conveniently connected via shuttle.

Pretty good housing option if you’re in a pinch for a rental in Bloom! The pool is super nice as well as the workout room. Nice furniture too!

The maintenance team is always very fast and efficient as well as the office!

I have lived here for a year now and it’s great!! It’s an affordable price with awesome amenities. I have never had any problems here. The leasing staff is wonderful and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone! :)

This past year of living here has been great. There are many perks you get when picking to live at the Monroe!

The pool and workout room are amazing. They have great amenities and maintenance that is quick to come when needed.

The Monroe has a wonderful location that is super close to the mall and the IU campus. I have lived here for two years with my best friend and it has been great. We love going to the updated gym and using the study space. I also take the bus every morning and it is right outside my unit, which is super convenient. Since I am out of state, I was worried about parking but I love having an open space all the time. The maintenance staff is quite friendly and has always been super helpful!

I have lived here for almost a year and have had zero complaints. They have amazing amenities that everyone should have when living somewhere!!

Something I love about the Monroe is the in-unit washer and dryers!

I LOVE the location of the Monroe Bloomington! The fact it’s close enough to campus there is a bus stop and walking distance to college mall and Kroger, very convenient to those without a car. I also love the 24/7 gym and the pond!

You get a nice apartment for a good price. A lot cheaper than most apartments with similar features. The location is great and you can ride the bus to campus in 15 minutes. You are super close to Kroger and the mall, so you're close to everything you need.

I have lived at the Monroe for 2 years now & it’s great! Right by the bus stop which makes it easy to get to class, while also being near the college mall, target, and Kroger! The staff is great and the apartments have many amenities for you to enjoy!

My cats love peeking through the windows all day! I love seeing other peoples cats peak through their windows too!

I love what they have to offer the residents. I really enjoy using the study room, gym, tennis courts, and pool. The apartment itself is very homey and in a convenient location.

The Monroe serves as a cheap alternative in Bloomington that still offers all the amenities somewhere double the price does. It seems almost too good to be true, but that not farther from the truth. Through my time at the Monroe, I’ve enjoyed every second of the amenities that have been offered to me!

The Monroe is absolutely amazing for a beginning apartment for students in school. I have lived here for almost a year with no major issues. Things that require the attention of the maintenance or office staff are taken seriously and done ASAP. The amenities are very nice and useful, especially the study room. The apartment itself is close to living quarters but has more than enough room, as long as you have a good roommate situation, personally, I believe the Monroe is perfect. It has a great location and another GIANT plus is the in-house washer, dryer, and fully furnished setting.

The maintenance team at monroe has excellent response time! They will respond to any requests made almost instantly. It’s great to not have to worry about anything! Plus the place is super pretty and has a lot of amenities. Just make sure you choose good room mates! ??

I love the Monroe because it has vaulted ceilings on the 3rd floor. I feel really safe on the 3rd floor, but the extra space is amazing. This space is very quiet, mostly grad students, so it is great for someone with a quiet lifestyle. It is also a 9min drive to the stadium.

I love living at the monroe because of how perfect the location is in retrospect to the town, it’s right behind the college mall, kroger, and all the restaurants are nearby. The apartments are cozy and spacious and I have quite enjoyed living in such a relaxing area of bloomington.

My roommates and I love this complex! The on property gym is so clean and very useful, and the study hub is the best place to get work done! Our apartment is spacious and we love to get together with friends and just have fun. The furniture and Amenities are awesome for college students who might not be able to afford much! Great Place and Great Neighbors

What I love about the Monroe is the proximity it is to everything. It is so close to lots of restaurants and stores, campus, the college mall, and so much more. I also love how helpful the staff is there! They always answer in a timely manner and answer my questions!!

i love LOVE the proximity to campus, the mall, and kroger! makes it so easy to commute with the public bus system, or by car! couldn’t ask for a better location, and for such a low price!

I have lived here for almost a year now. I have never had any complaints about the Monroe. They offered many different apartment sizes to help benefit me in the best way possible. And it only got better once I moved in. To say a little, I have access to excellent basketball courts, beach volleyball courts, and a nice pool I can use whenever I feel. They also just upgraded their workout area it make it even better. I have no complaints about the Monroe.

Right by a bus stop and has amazing roommate matching! Apartments are decent price and size for being in college! It is a short walk away from Kroger too so very easy for people who may not bring their cars to college.

Roommate matching was really really good! Maintenance is also very quick and efficient. Overall a decent place to live as a college student.

The staff at this complex is so kind and helpful. Apartments are so clean and up to date. Price is one of the more affordable around IU campus.

The furnishing is great, and the payments are done really easily! Also great if you want to have a pet with you easy to set up and do!

Great place , peaceful and quiet! Near everything you need , grocery stores, IU and other shops etc Lovely gardens and little lakes! Would definitely live here again but without roomates lol

I went here for a tour last week and they were very nice and friendly! They knew all the answers to our questions and gave a great tour!

This is a good first apartment location as it is on the bus route to campus and they have many amenities that are fun and useful.

have had many problems but its affordable, thats the only plus. dont sign up for random roommates though, bad idea.

It's walking distance to Krogers, bus 9 stops and bus 3, plus affordable, it's a nice location overall. This is my second year here :).

Very nice for a low cost in Bloomington. If any problems arise maintenance is always quick to respond and fix anything. I've never had any problems at these apartments!

This is my 4th semester at the Monroe and I'm loving it here. The amenities, the activities, the location, just everything about it is nice here. There's a bus that stops for students as well and is close to everything that's needed. I love it here!
