Property Ratings at The Morrison
I haven't slept in 6 months. Do not move here if you work nights. It's a literal construction zone all the time. I'm listening to jackhammers and the beeping of large machines from 730 am on. The maintenance will start vacuuming at 8am, or start yelling across the building. I'm very close to moving and I've lived here 6 months. The person next door moved already and he moved in 2 months after me. It's hard to live here.
Old carpet, ugly linoleum, leaky pipes, rusty water. The whole place is a miss-match of generic, low-quality, old/very used and worn materials. They try to pass off "vintage charm" as a reason to never put profits back in to the building. It's not at all updated. Hallways always smell horrible. It says no smoking, but people do smoke in there units and the smell spreads to other units. Only one, small washer and dryer for the whole building, eats quarters, waste of money. Three flight walk-up, no elevator. No lobby and no management on site, so package delivery cannot get in the building (no Amazon, no UPS, no FEDEX delivery). No free parking. It's all street parking, pay to park, or move your car every two hours. The city no longer issues parking permits for that zone. The lower level, front side is a soccer bar. Drunk people constantly drinking, loud partying, smoking right in front of the apartment main entrance. The bar also has speakers outside that blast crappy, loud sports and/or music. You can here the bar through the apartment floor, and it doesn't close til 2am, good-luck sleeping at normal hours. The back of the building (street-level) is rented out to anyone that needs garage space. Last tenant down there was a pay-to-ride scooter company that went bankrupt. They built all the scooters in the garage, it was sooo loud. Before them it was a printing press. Large, loud machinery at all hours of the night. The apartment floors are way too thin, and not at all insulated. apartment was not cleaned prior to move in. There's no office and no one to contact for help. The building has changed hands three times in the last six months. They ought to just tear it down and build condos already.
