Coupled by historic brownstones and urban developments, Murray Hill is an excellent example of where old New York charm meets innovation. Locals in the area enjoy close proximity to Grand Central Station, perfect for those commuting to jobs in Midtown Manhattan. Recognized for its quiet days and thriving nightlife, Murray Hill has become a popular destination for college students.
Because of its active nightlife scene, off-the-clock employees and students choose bars like Joshua Tree on 3rd Avenue for weekday happy hours. Murray Hill houses many global businesses and over a dozen United Nations embassies. Locals find comfort and relaxation in jogging on the East River trail, a block from Saint Vartan Park.

Property Ratings at The Murray Hill®
The elevators have become a joke - 1 has been down for 2 months for "modernization". The other "modernized" elevator breaks down multiple times a day - this is a 21 story building with 300 apartments that regularly becomes a 21 story walk up. Management doesn't seem to show any sense of urgency or acknowledges that tenants regularly get stuck in the elevator / their homes / or the lobby.
Not only was my first apartment in New York City, it's shared with my boyfriend! Everyday is better than the last and I'm lucky to call it my home. It may not be the largest apartment, but it's perfect to me!
The Murray Hill, located at 115 East 34th Street near the corner of Park Avenue, is a mid-rise rental apartment building constructed in 1980. Located in the heart of Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood, the building is home to professionals who demand the best in a full-service building. Amenities include friendly, professional 24-hour doormen, live-in super, indoor bicycle room and storage, on site self-serve laundry, as well as on-site professional laundry and tailoring. The 21-story building boasts a spacious roof deck with high quality furniture for outdoor entertaining or fun in the sun, and is open from late spring into the fall. For me, however, the most compelling reason to pick the Murray Hill over its competition are the stunning views available from the north facing units. Most floors with a north-facing view have breathtaking, unobstructed views of Manhattan including the Chrysler building and others. Many units (but not all) have terraces, and while the view isn't as grand on the south facing side of the building, those with terraces have a straight-shot view across 34th street including the Empire State building. The only possible drawback to the building is that it caters mostly to 20-something professionals. More established folks or those with families may bristle at the occasional loud party or late night hallway conversation. That said, this is more of a rarity than a usual occurrence, and the rest of the pluses more than make up for the minuses. In short, if you're looking for an apartment with a great location, great amenities, friendly staff, and views that will make you the envy of your friends, look no further.
