Downtown Spokane offers residents something unique: waterfalls in the middle of the city. Residents of Downtown Spokane enjoy watching the water at play as they walk along the banks of the Spokane River. Riverfront Park, the site of the 1974 World's Fair, holds more attractions, including the INB Performing Arts Center, the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club, and a carousel that's more than 100 years old. Also in the park, you can find the Spokane Shock Arena, which regularly hosts arena football, concerts, and figure skating.
Downtown Spokane makes it easy for residents to walk to work or stroll the streets to shop, dine, or grab a beer. The Flour Mill, a renovated, 100-year-old mill, houses eclectic specialty shops and fine dining options while restaurants such as Mizuna and Anthony's at Spokane Falls let diners enjoy a view of the river as they eat. Downtown Spokane is home to Washington State University Spokane, and just across the river to the northeast is Gonzaga University.

Property Ratings at The New Madison
This was by far the worst experience I have had with trying to rent an apartment, I have been in contact with Ivy now for a couple of weeks. Since being approved for a week now, I have made many numerous calls and texts to acquire the apartment. She does not reply or call back, she only called back once 5 days after being approved to tell me that all of a sudden someone else put in an application and she will get back to me to see if they put a deposit, and in two days she did not get back to me on that even though I have tried to contact her numerous times. Since the day she approved me I have tried to give her a deposit for the apartment, in 7 days I was unable to do so because of her lack of effort to do so. I wasted a good two weeks of time and the cost of an application and a 4hr commute to Spokane to be ignored for a week. Never had an experience like this before where I had to put so much effort to be ignored by my potential landlord
