Property Ratings at The Nine on Shoreline
Don’t live here. They suck at their job especially Pam. They try to clean up the common grounds but once you live there you realize how disgusting it is. The apartment is full of roaches after pest control came out 10 times which is disgusting because they didn’t clean up after the previous tenants. We moved out and then decide to throw charges on our bill because we didn’t return keys on a day they were closed, they charged us for items that were marked on pre-walkthrough, and then when asked they they don’t respond and you have to call and email multiple times. The property manager is never responsive and leaves it Pam to run the apartment, which is a mistake. We had a roof leak and their solution was removing the smoke alarm and never coming back out. Like what? Overall I regret moving here.
The management here truly cares about the residents, the leasing agent Jenna greets everyone by their name and is truly awesome at remembering which resident is in what apartment! I am always greeted with a smile and never feel like I am a bother. The apartments have a very open floor plan sq ft might sound small but when you see it... you would think it is much bigger! 3rd floor has vaulted ceilings and fireplace that make it feel even more open and it just feels like home the minute you see it! Parking is the biggest negative review I have seen, but since the new towing company has started there are more options for resident parking, so don't let one bad review steer you away, you have to see it for yourself the property is gorgeous!

My first apartment in US and I must say one of the best apartments in Austin . Apartments are big and spacious. Park, Swimming pool, Gym and the Grill - all facilities are up to modern standards. Maintenance guys (Yuan and his coworker) are the most disciplined, hard working and they are simply exceptional. Maria (the current manager) is very nice and pleasant person and she would make you feel welcome every time you visit the leasing office. One of the best things about this management staff is that they arrange some event (e.g. Swimming pool party, Hot dogs day, Father's day etc) at least once in a month and it helps you to meet and get to know fellow residents. Give a try to this apartments. You won't be disappointed.

I went into Nine on Shoreline and meet with Dave the assistant manager. Really nice attitude and the property show well. On July 9 i decided to fill out an application online for this location. I sent to them all the information required according to their sight that was needed. I sent to them an email a few days after I applied to get status, NO ONE reached out to me. I sent a message in their resident portal again requesting status, I recv an email stating that they did not hear from my current landlord and this was the hold up. I reached out to my landlord and ask if he could please send the information that is needed. I was told it was done. This was the same week i applied. I sent a replay to the email that was sent and DID NOT get any response from the Complex. I sent another message to the Complex and received a call 2 days later from Dave that stated their an issue with the information that was provided. I again reached out to my landlord. EVERY communication with them had to be triggered by an email from me in order to get status. I informed them that my current place has been leased and that I will need to have a decision NOW! My fiance called and spoke to someone name Cindy and according to my fiance she was VERY RUDE and NOT HELPFUL. He called to be added to the lease. I have check the status of my application and each time the price has gone up and still TODAY there is NO status of a move in date or an approval. I DO NOT have time to wait considering that I am on limited time, and the customer service that we have receive is unacceptable and NO one should be treated the way we have been treated. I am 10 days in and my application is still showing Pending. I do have to add that Dave has had a Great attitude each time I did speak to him
Come live at The Nine on Shoreline! It is the best ever, I have lived here for 5 years now and I love it. The property manager Maria is so sweet and pleasant when you walk in the door she makes you feel welcome, Dave and Kimberley are really nice too. I don't want any more changes in management staff, the current staff is great. Roberto who is part of the maintenance staff is great and he has been here for years, he is always working hard and he is very helpful. I recently moved to a renovated apartment from a 1 bedroom 1 bath to a 2 bedroom 1 bath, and I love it. The apartment is beautiful and the upgrades are amazing.
I cannot give more than 1 star to these apartments. There is a change in management staff this year and things have changed drastically which are not god for residents. Parking permit changes, ppl don't pick up after their dogs, Maintenance work order remains pending for days, Gym and swimming pool opened after 6 months etc. Previous management was too good, very friendly. I had extended the lease this year and was planning to extend it next year as well. but after this management change, i'll never think of extending my lease here.

Apt changed parking permits mid lease. They say they informed residents by email but I have searched and found no such email. They towed my car and change $400 to return the car. Very unprofessional, for such a drastic change paper flyers should have been placed on vehicles or on doors.
This property has lower pricing that is not actually being offered. After researching the matter both on their own website and talking directly, I was told the pricing was not updated and that those offers were not valid or available.
I live here now and I love the property. This is my first apartment outside of student housing and on my own and my experience has been nothing short of amazing. Anytime I have placed a request in (I have only been living here 5 months) they have come the next day to fix whatever the issue was. The people in the front office are always nice and welcoming. From the time I took a tour last summer to the day I signed my 12 month lease it has been a great feeling. Though parking is not the best which is something I am sure most people will talk about in a negative way the new owners have done all that they can (parking stickers and re striping the whole complex) to make sure the residents are able to park inside of the gate. This is a property they inherited so I will not take off points or marks for that because I am sure that is something they would like to change as well. The wash room and gym is always clean. I use the wash room since I do not have a washer and dryer in my apartment. The one thing I love about that is that you have to have a key to enter the wash room and even the gym. (and the key cannot be duplicated) That assures me that I am safe and non-residents cannot come in and try to use the facilities. I do not have pictures of my place or the property right now, but I am happy with I chose to stay here.
I have lived here for a couple of months and absolutely love it. The staff is very friendly, courteous, helpful, and responsive. Lexie is always so helpful any time I need something. She and the whole management team have always made me feel like part of a family by greeting me by name and making me feel welcomed. My apartment is updated, with brand new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, a spacious bathroom with a garden tub, and a huge balcony with storage. One of my favorite parts of the apartment is the beautiful pool and the landscaping around the complex. The staff does a wonderful job maintaining the complex. Maintenance is extremely prompt in completing service orders; less than a 24 hr turn-around time. They are very pet friendly here and I have never seen an issue with people leaving deposits on the ground for people to step in. It is not unusual to see people walking their dogs. The amazing thing is that I haven't heard one dog bark yet. Another thing I have noticed is how quiet it is here. I rarely hear my neighbors and the neighborhood is nestled in between a subdivision and church. The entire complex is surrounded by trees. The common areas are also canopied by trees giving a wonderful environment to live. Out of all the complexes I have lived at around and in the Austin area I have to say that The Nine on Shoreline tops them all. I give this complex and their phenomenal staff 5 stars all the way around.
The rent is really high for what you are getting, nothing has been updated only painted over (some doors have so many layers of paint it's hard to close) the internet is slow no matter what speed you get, the windows are super thin so your electric bill is sky high with original A/C units, water is allocated so you pay maximum no matter how much you use. There is no parking, I have missed job interviews because I had cars blocking me in, this happens daily. There is no dog park, only a dog toilet the area is saturated with dog droppings that never get cleaned. The pool is not clean, I have seen dead animals inside the water, the BBQ area has one grill and the countertop is broken the chairs and table are broken. My refrigerator died I lost all my food and it didn't get "replaced" for a week, by replaced I mean I watched them swap a fridge from an empty unit into mine (sorry new tenants you get all the old stuff) My A/C went out with over 100 degree temps and it took days to get it fixed, imagine sleeping in sweat. I had mold in my walls for 24 days when they finally decided to "fix" the rotting walls because they are so old they have holes in them; the mold came back 2 months later and they decided to kick me out instead of relocate me. Nothing is good about Marquis Shoreline the rent is higher than average (add $400 for the electric and allocated water)parking is always full, internet is slow, and you get an unhealthy living environment. Save yourself the headache and do not rent here.
