Recognized as one of America’s most historic neighborhoods, Germantown dates back centuries all the way to 1683. Even though it’s one of the oldest settlements in the city, Germantown has a relaxed and friendly vibe about it.
And speaking of its historic vanity – the Cliveden Estate’s backyard was the site of the 1777 Battle of Germantown. Along its main thoroughfare, a 2.5-acre rose garden flourishes with brightly-colored blooms at the Wyck House. Locals gather at the Johnson House – which was a stop on the Underground Railroad – to join in the Juneteenth Festival. The Revolutionary Germantown Festival is held every October and features reenactments of the Battle of Germantown.
Outside of their affordable apartments, locals can be found exploring Fernhill Park or dining at delicious eateries. Locals look forward to easy commutes to work by way of two SEPTA rail lines.

Property Ratings at The Nook
I love my unit. Spacious, I hear no noise and I am on the 1st floor. Only complaint is that you have to get out of the car to unlock the gate to get in. Other than the the building is beautiful and well kept.
I had to jump in and echo what other reviews are saying…I just moved into The Nook and I already regret it. The sound transfer, the noise above and below is crazy, like somehow I can hear everyone and every step they take. You can hear people up on the roof all the time. You can feel your neighbors washing machine shaking your floor. My neighbors smoke inside their apartment and it comes into mine, management doesn’t care. Other neighbors told me that the gym equipment was stolen awhile back and again management don’t care…so we’re paying for amenities that we don’t get. The property is always dirty like the elevator and the stairs. Wallpaper is bubbling everywhere like there’s constant leaks. They right about the hole in the mailroom. And nobody leaves packages in the mailroom anyway. They’re left outside all the way by the gate. Management tried to get people to stop parking in the lot but they still do. What bothers me day to day is these cheap appliances. For real listen, don’t move here
Like the other reviews have said, don’t be fooled. While the location is great, living at The Nook has been horrendous and I’m not even sure where to start. If you toured it yourself right now, you’ll notice the “secure gate” is wide open and has been for over a month - someone crashed into it and management has yet to get it fixed. You’d probably step in the poop that’s all over the parking lot because residents don’t pick up after their dogs. Residents park their cars all along the fire lane and handicap spots, making it impossible to get in and out of your parking spot - they’ll even park in your reserved spot that you pay $100 for. You’d see a mailroom with a huge hole in the ceiling, flooded floor, terrible moldy smell, and really your packages are going to get stolen anyway. The elevator randomly goes out of service and takes too long to fix. You can hear your neighbors every move thanks to paper thin walls and cheap sound proofing. We literally haven’t known a minute of peace since moving in and have to wait for our neighbors to go to sleep before we can go to sleep. Save yourself, do not move here.
I moved in April 2022 and left at the end of April 2023. Personally I never had any poor experiences here WHILE I was a resident, however over 30 days have passed since I moved out and I haven’t received my security deposit. They are not answering emails or phone calls about this, and I’ve been trying to get in contact for days…had this happen with a landlord in the past and had to pursue legal action to get my deposit back and now I’m unfortunately getting the same vibes. Very shady that no one is responding…. I don’t care how great my actual time there was if they pull this at the end.
I’m going to just leave this here . Me and everyone in this building moved in around this time last year and majority are leaving. There is 33 Apartments and 20 plus people are leaving. The building is only a year old and it’s been awful living here . I just moved out and I’m so glad that I did.
For the building to be new, there are a lot of flaws. The stairwells elevator and the parking lot are always dirty, the roof is barely furnished, never cleaned && super dark at night….Nowhere for any of the dogs to use the bathroom so there’s waste in the parking lot. Like they could have put some turf anywhere i dont have pets but it’s sad to see. The elevator was broken for over a month and there was no funds or credit given even though they said there would be….The back and sides of the building overlooks trash and a homeless man that won’t go away. Noise transfers above and below. The noise transfer isn’t terrible but it’s Not great either. There are no cameras on the front of the property where the gates are….no mirror coming out of the parking lot so you’re blindly driving into traffic. Just a waste of what could have been decent with some attn to Detail.
I've been calling multiple times to schedule a tour, and no one answers the phone. The mailbox is full... very questionable.
I have been in this apartment for a short moment and so far I am loving this apartment. I have dealt with the property manager Jarred on some things and his customer service has been wonderful. He has keep me up to date on everything. Overall experience has been wonderful.
