Property Ratings at Northern
Terrible office manager, has no people skills and people are always moving out because of her.
Property Manager at Northern, Responded To This Review
This is deeply disappointing feedback, as our whole team works tirelessly to provide residents with exceptional service and a great place to call home. If you have specific concerns regarding your experience, please give us a call.
I have lived here for a few years it used to be a wonderful place to live until it was sold I have fought with my heating and air-conditioning system for years they have not fixed it it’s 113° outside I’m at 73-year-old woman with breathing problems and they haven’t showed up to fix my AC The response I get is unless it’s an emergency we have 48 hours I think 113° outside with no air-conditioning consist sort of an emergency I have not had one maintenance problem corrected in any reasonable amount of time last year I had a window leaking through the monsoons and it took almost a month before they fixed it because the manager didn’t know who to call
I’ve lived here over 3 yrs and my experience was good until recently. The complex was sold and everything changed - rent increased, people started moving, thugs moved in, more police calls for drugs / domestic issues, pool issues, roaches, and overall declining property value. Management thinks a cost of paint will fix the numerous issues - nope I’m moving!
Came in to see a 1 Bedroom for Me and My Gf, let me just start off by saying I had the best Experience ever The manager was The nicest person to Talk To. She knew everything to The “T” And Was very professional, when we were walking around The apartments were clean and Well kept. And Anytime we asked questions she would Answer them immediately. I give the apartments a 10/10 And Management 10/10
Great apartments! Very clean! The manager takes care of you and can answer any question you have! All the problems the previous manager made, are getting fixed by the new manager!
My daughter n I went in the other day to look at apartments and the prices. The office was open (not closed like other people wrote) The little manager woman was very nice, sweet and gave me so much info it was very helpful. We are from southern arizona and are moving cause of my work so we are making a big move beginning of the year. My daughter is an older teen and is now more excited about moving since the office lady made her feel like she would take care of us if we move to Her property. I would suggest the pines to make your home for sure!
Great place to live, been here for a few years and I really like the area a lot. The new apartment manager is very attentive and the communication & availability has been much improved. It's a nice community, maintenance usually show's up within 24hrs of a maintenance request or issue, small complex, affordable...will definitely renew my lease.
I moved in shortly before they changed hands. I was notified by a letter on my door the day before rent was due that it had happened and that now I couldn’t use the drop box and hours for the office had changed. The office is NEVER open at the correct times. I have to take off work to pay my rent. It’s a total circus around here. Completely unorganized. I’ve had mail sit for over a week I. The office since they are never there for me to collect it. It says M-F 8-5 but for hours at a time they will be closed or they will post they are closed for budget meetings randomly. They lie as well, my friend called about the pricing of apartments and they told her one thing and she came down the next day and they told her a completely different price. My lease is up in November and I’m sure the rent is going up tremendously as well, I’m moving no matter what. Our pool and bbq has been out all summer which WE PAY FOR! The grounds are dirty now and parking is a mess. My assigned parking already is taken and they don’t care. Makes me sad because the layout is adorable and I was happy here the first 4 months.
After seeing the reviews that the new management has been receiving I wanted to be the first to commend them. Yes it was rough at first because the old management did not follow the same rules or even apply any policies to all of us residents here. It was a change that was tough at first but I have been seeing a drastic change in not only the look of the community both exterior and interior where improvements have been made with them changing out the new fixtures inside of all the apartments but now they are repainting the exterior. Nobody likes change especially when it may affect those who it changes not in their favor. The maintenance that used to be here did not really "fix" anything but patched it up and temporary fixed it and had to keep calling because they did not want to spend money to fix it. My AC went out and the manager himself showed up on his day off to help install a brand new AC on the roof for my family and I. If things do break it may take time to repair in regards to parts being ordered or the right person having to come out to repair it but if you simply speak with the manager in the office he will let you know everything that is going on. He walks the property daily and if he sees anyone that he does not recognize on property or I call him and say there are suspicious persons on property he is out there himself investigating and taking care of the issues that arise. I am happy that new management is here because more things are being done when I call in and have an issue with anything that arises here on property. Thank You and I plan on staying here with my family because I know that the office and management truly cares what happens here and about the residents and are not just here to collect our rent checks every month.
These apartments are a pile I've lived here for 4 years there are always homeless romers. There are always people going threw trash in complex. The management is big headed and wants to do everything opposite of the way it's supposed to be done half a** fixes ac in apartments don't cool I have mine set at 75 it's 83 when supposedly they fixed it. There is no parking lot security and no parking room it's a fight to have a parking spot close to apartment. So if you work late be ready to walk. And recently management made an agreement and doesnt want to hold there end. Also they created hazards in the apartments and don't seem to care about making it a safe environment. I have several neighbors moving due to this management. Absolutely a terrible place to live.
I moved in last year when it was Canyon Pines. I came from Indiana and absolutely loved the office manager and maintenance! The grounds and entrance ways were kept clean, the pool was operating and clean, water pressure was great, and I had 0 bugs. Now that this new company has taken over its dirty, water pressure sucks, I have roaches which makes me feel dirty, and they have the audacity to go up on rent lol! The pool was not open for a couple weeks and that’s what I pay for, but now that it’s open it’s never clean. I should not have to take my kids elsewhere to swim or clean my own entryway because they are not up to par as a property management company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Absolutely loved this place for the first year. Then Solano Pines bought the place... water pressure immediately dropped. Could no longer pay via drop box. Rent went up 20 bucks, and to top it all off? They closed the pool two weeks ago and said they're working on it and have never seen a soul out there doing anything. We came to these apts just for the pool and they took it from us.
This place was bought out by a new company and they have been horrible from day one! I don't even know where to start. Our community used to be tidy, clean, and presentable with our last mantience man taking the extra effort to clean up the property everyday and take care of maintenance issues asap. The new maintenance man just walks around whistling or spending the other half of his day fiddling around the pool, which I might add has a loud and annoying sound coming from the pumps that sound like they are going out! You can hear this from across the complex and through your closed doors. You would think after almost 2 weeks and still ongoing that they would hire a PROFESSIONAL who can fix this problem because the maintence man clearly does not have a handle on it. We pay for the ammentaty of a pool and now that summer is here it is chained off to the residents with the added bonus of hearing the engine ready to expolde any day now. We were never without the pool even for a day until this new company came along. They seem to be more concerned about saving money than running a proper complex with living standards. They like to bandaid problems but dont actually address or fix the problems, maintance has to be called out several times because repairs are never fixed right the first time. The office staff is very cras and lies to your face. They dont want to hear anything you have to say. There was also talk of neighbors having bed bugs and luckily i dont have any but i know they do travel. This place is just going downhill by day. Everytime something breaks its another loss for the community because they dont fix or repair anything here up to normal standards. I will be leaving once my lease is up. This place is a joke!
Now called Solano Pines, the new management company is terrible. First day they came in was Feb 28th and they instantly changed how rent was paid and who it was paid to on March 1st that next day. They then forgot to switch the complex electricity over, so though inside our apartment we had light, there was no lighting in the complex or the parking lot for 3 days. Very risky considering all the drug addicts walking around the area. They changed there hours to only open 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, can't find anything to take off work to make sure maintenance is taken care of nor that they properly follow through with my complaints. Would highly advise against moving here unless you absolutely have to. They lost my respect and business
I lived at this property for several years and was happy to call it home. For the price, you get a lot of room with it being a smaller apartment complex, any issues were quickly handled by maintenance. The apartments are spacious, warm, and just feel like home. Neighbors are all nice and the front office staff was amazing! Close to 101 and I-17 freeways, very solid location. Highly recommend.
