North Canton is a small suburban city on the north side of Canton and about fifteen miles south of Akron. The majority of the city is covered by suburban neighborhoods, with the local rental market offering a healthy mix of affordable apartments and single-family homes.
Main Street is lined with small shopping centers, restaurants, and specialty shops as it passes through town, forming the commercial backbone of the city. North Canton is also home to Walsh University, a small, private institution in the east end of town. Akron-Canton Airport sits just northwest of town, making it an excellent location for frequent travelers.

Property Ratings at The Northrup Court Apartments
Northrup Court is not a high end apartment complex and is very far from it, as far as the studio goes you get what you pay for. Everything is very outdated, very outdated! The AC looks like what’s in a hotel room, the ceilings have popcorn, the stove looks like it’s from the 80’s and get this, in the studio I was in, there was only a mini fridge! So before signing a lease think about how many times you want to eat out in the year you live here because there is NO freezer space, and hardly any room to stock up for an entire week in the fridge. Maintenance took care of orders promptly, management was okay. Overall, if you’re looking to save money for a year as I was, go for it, but you’re far from luxury, and not many amenities here!
The manager Elizabeth went above and beyond to get me into my apartment on a short notice. I was in the office most of the day so I realize just how busy she was, but she took a personal responsibility to help me without question. I couldn’t be more grateful for her. The apartment itself is clean, quiet, and affordable. Everyone is very friendly.
place used to be a nice place. new manager is unreliable and doesn't handle issues promptly or at all. upper management makes excuses .
It is hard to get a hold of management to take care of any issues that arise with maintenance or landscaping. I have called several times and left voicemails because the manager does not answer the phone- and not once have they called back after I've left my number. There's only one maintenance person for northrup and beckford place. He is so backed up on maintenance requests that it took over and month for my door to be fixed (it had gaps, kept my energy bills high, and let bugs crawl in underneath). The landscaping company they hired has ruined our flower beds by stomping around in them to put mulch down or cut weeds down. They do not keep the bushes trimmed down, leave grass clippings all over the place, and they pile on mulch without removing old mulch or spreading it around. When they come around to blow away grass clippings with a leaf blower, they blow mulch and grass all over the patio (that I literally just swept this morning). When I finally get a hold of the manager, she is rude and unhelpful. She tries to blame other employees for what is going on around the complex but does not take responsibility as the manager.
This is a very nice environment with a lot of friendly residents. Shopping and restaurants are at close proximity and not to mention, it is very quiet neighborhood. Lastly, this is the most pleasant apartment complex I have known.
Nice convenient just a block from grocery stores and restaurants. One story apartments they give you bit more of a house feel. Nice ,Quite and friendly complex. Rent is really nice 575 a month 1 bed and 1 bath wash and dryer hook up in suite.
