With its charming and historic downtown, brick-paved sidewalks, and rolling green hills Jackson is a hidden gem. It is located off I-40, roughly halfway between Memphis and Nashville. It is the county seat of Madison County, and it is home to several colleges and universities, including Jackson State Community College, the University of Memphis at Lambuth, and Union University. It's also the location of the Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame and the Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum.
When Jackson residents want to shop, they have plenty of options: Shoppes at the Columns is an outdoor shopping area filled with well-known stores and restaurants. Old Hickory Mall, an indoor shopping mall, is located off Old Hickory Boulevard and is surrounded by smaller strip malls. At Fairgrounds Park, residents can peruse the items at Friendly Frank's Flea Market. For fresh produce, they head to the West Tennessee Farmer's Market.
In a state famous for music, Jackson holds its own.

Even though I did not rent an apartment with them, the front office staff was so personable and friendly. Maria kept on contact with me throughout the entire process and made sure I've would be able to move into the apartment. I did not move did to job plans changed. If it had not been for this I would be a resident.

It continues to be our pleasure to assist you. Please don't hesitate to let us know how we can help you going forward. We hope you have an amazing day!
Sirens constantly at all hours. Air traffic to the hospitals. Other tenants can be very loud. I had to call JPD 3 times and spoke with the on site security officer who was JPD. He couldn’t fix the parties in the parking lot. Trash left in parking slots constantly. Water turned off 4 or 5 times in a year for repairs. Flooding of my apt by others 5 times. No compensation for the extra towel washing in my own machines using my own power and supplies! The tenants behind me caused a patio scrub fire. The tenant across from them came to my door, I called the fire dept and used my own big extinguisher to put it out. The office ladies were watching, smiling, giggling. I walked right over in their faces and I told them loudly This IS NOT funny and you owe my an extinguisher and I left it at their feet. They just walked off. The fire was caused by the guy smoking then throwing the butts in the dryer out bushes. Soooo much other crap went on you wouldn’t believe me!

Hi Laquita! Thanks so much for the positive feedback! We're always happy to hear great things from our residents here at The Oaks. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything else we can do, we're here for you!
Lived here since 2017, and should have moved out when Monarch bought the place. The maintenance team didn't know how to weld properly and got soot all over the house. They got cleaners to get the carpets and walls, but had to have them come twice, since it was done poorly. Then when we asked for an Air Test to be done to make sure the air was safe, they had a team come in and do test, but when it came time to see paperwork they couldn't provide us with anything. Which the first rule in business is always have a paper trail so mistakes can't be left on you. They gave us the run around and then gave a $200 credit for everything, and when we came to sign it, it was a liability release, basically saying my boyfriend's and my current and future health were only worth $100 each. They finally let us move out, just for the team at the office not to be there, and when I requested to be notified on when they were doing the move out inspection, they ignored me and did it on their own. AGAIN BREAKING THE LAW, since it is a Tenants right to be present during that inspection in Tennessee. Overall, this is a poorly run establishment from top to bottom, avoid spending you money here and upgrade to ANYWHERE else but here!!
Nice and peaceful apartment complex. The neighbors are friendly and it is in a great location. I love it here. Alicia G.
