Property Ratings at The Oaks at Northpointe
The apartments are nice but the front office is hard to deal with. It is impossible to reach the manager and the move out process was not delight. They will nickel and dime you any chance they get and if you have pets get ready for some hefty charges. I had 6 people in my apartment helping clean during move out and the manager tried to say it smelled like urine inside the place even though all 6 people say there was no smell. Instead of cleaning the carpet the front office just replaced it which actually breaks the lease, yet they are still trying to charge me. I have sent 10+ emails to the manager, Christi, and her supervisor but have not heard back, just be careful.

Never rent here. They are unprofessional and incompetent. Worst place to rent.
Pro – The maintenance staff is helpful and nice. Con – There is more police activity in the complex than I expected. Yes, they do criminal background checks but for some reason, I see police responding to issues here more than I thought I would. Con – Don’t move here if you hope to have relaxing weekends at the pool. The pool area is small and overrun on the weekends with people bringing in large groups of non-resident family and friends for parties. This includes toddlers in the fountain even though there are signs saying it’s not allowed, groups of kids playing soccer and trampling the plants, loud music, multiple grills brought in, and lots of leftover trash (that the maintenance staff has to clean up Monday mornings). ONP says this will be corrected by requiring thumb prints for residents to access the pool, but the gates are low so people can easily reach over and let themselves in and/or residents open the gates for their families and friends. I’m not comfortable being required to provide my thumb print just because they can’t properly manage the pool.
My husband and I are currently renting a one bedroom apartment and we love it. It's very clean here and the kitchen has granite counter tops. The clubhouse is really nice and clean as well with a nice pool, gym, and gameroom. My only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is because maintenance requests are a little slow to fill.
The apartment was brand new when I moved in. The apartment itself is very large and well laid out. The appliances were all brand new, but some of the finishings in the apartment appear to have been rushed. The crown molding stops abruptly near corners and there is a small crack in the wall that appears to have been spackled over before I moved in. The pool area is on the small side, but nice. The fitness room is pretty basic but open 24 hours and well lit. There is a nice little enterntainement space in the clubhouse with billiards and shuffleboard, but it is only open during office hours. Overall, the complex is usually pretty quiet although there are sometimes when there is some noise in the parking lot. I've never felt unsafe in the complex and it is situated near some newly constructed neighborhoods. Would like to have some sidewalks around the perimeter of the property to make morning jogs through the neighborhood more accessible and for the kids to walk on to school. Good suburban community.
The oaks at northpointe is a fine community. My boyfriend and I have lived here for over a year now and absolutely love it. Everyone in the community is kind, including the staff, they are all down to earth individuals. If there ever was an issue it was addressed and resolved in a timely manner, from any questions one may have to needing something fixed. I love this place.
