If there is a place known as the heart of the state of Idaho, the City of Jerome is probably close to it. Sitting in the deep center of the state, Jerome is considered a bedroom community for the larger city of Twin Falls, but Jerome has a strong economy of its own as the mid-point of travel across the state.
Those moving to Jerome with kids will appreciate the multitude of parks, including a skateboard park. Those who like fossils will love the nearby Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, which contains one of the world's best deposits of 500,000-year-old horse fossils. The park also contains a part of the Oregon Trail National Historic Trail, which still shows ruts from the wagon wheels.
Other parks in the area include the Balanced Rock site, Bruneau Dunes State Park, the Craters of the Moon Park, and the Box Canyon State Park. All of these locations offer some amazing natural resources for hiking, day-visits, camping, and wilderness trekking.

Property Ratings at The Oaks
I lived their for a couple years and never had an issue!
I went in to inquire information about the Oaks and was horrified with how I was treated by the manager. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this agency to anyone in the housing market.
I lived at the oaks for 2 years. The amenities are great and I didn't have any problems until the former manager left and Tracy was put in charge. She is on a power trip. She gives fee citations for tiny things and is totally unreasonable. She screams at kids on the playground from her office and illegally threatens tenants with eviction when they challenge her power trip. She's also vindictive. We were unfortunate enough to argue with her about the garbage dumpster and got hit with a $630 move out fee when during the walk through she said it'd only be the cost of the carpet cleaning. The units and community was very nice but until they get rid of Tracy, you're better off somewhere else!
The manager charges fees for everything. I mowed my grass on a Tuesday instead of Thursday and I get charged $20.00. Every month she gets me for something stupid like this and Legal Aid won't help. Also the manager has cursed at my kids, very unprofessional. I can't wait to move:(
I have been here for seven years and they are very nice. However, the management is extremely hard to deal with and very inconsistent. Beautiful homes and great neighborhood.. The school district is horrible so it has forced us to move on. If you can tolerate the management and their ridiculous demands then you will enjoy living here.
For the price they`re excellent They`re very clean and well maintained. Verry spacious. Looks like A nice neighborhood. A great asset to the city of Jerome. The staff has been very helpful. I would recommend these units to anyone looking for A home to rent.
pretty good over all. place is pretty good with space, great neighborhood not far from schools, looks nice in the inside as well as the outside
We have lived here for a year and we have liked it a lot so far. It's a really nice/clean neighborhood. There's also not a lot of noise which is nice. I think its pretty good that they have a playground so the kids can play.
we have lived her for 4 years now and feel at home. I love how maintenance is on top of doing the repairs needed. I don't know of any other places as nice as these for the price and space given.
I have lived here for several years now and it is a safe and clean environment. The rent is really cheap and you have a great place to live in. I have a private grass fenced backyard where I go every morning to have a my cup of coffee. I really enjoy living here. The community is great. The office and maintenance staff is easy going and great to work with. They make sure that homes are well kept up and repairs are done timely. The Oak is the place to live at here in Jerome.
The people here are great to work with. I live alone and I am not afraid here. The apartments are all kept so nice and clean around them. All in all a nice place to live no matter what your age.
I moved into The Oaks in February of 2012 and I am still living here. The Oaks have beautiful homes and I feel safer than I have any where. I feel safe enough to leave my windows open an night. I love that I feel safe enough to let my almost 6 year old daughter play outside without me outside with her. I still check on her but the neighborhood and people there make it a safe place to let my child play without feeling like she's going to get kidnapped. The staff are always helpful and get maintinence done quickly. I don't plan on moving any time soon.
My family loves the Oaks! The units are perfect for a small family. They are well kept and have plenty of space. There are strict rules, but the rules help keep the place looking good. The neighborhood is awesome and the town even better. We love it here and so do our children. There is a park for the kids to play at and a gym for the adults to use. I would recommend the Oaks to anyone looking for a fun, CLEAN, family friendly place to live.
The value of renting from the oaks is the best in my experience. I keep my place well maintained just so I dont have to go hunting for a new place. Every complaint is really minor when comparing it to the duplexes, managers, neighbors and location.
I love living at the oaks, it is very peaceful there.
We're fairly new to the community but the move-in process was stress-free and easy with the manager helping us every step of the way. The unit was spotless upon move-in and our neighbors have been so friendly and nice. The community is lovely and very well maintained. We have had a wonderful experience and really like our unit.
Well kept up, staff very helpful. I can't wait to move in.
My wife and I +1 have lived here for over two years now and have really enjoyed it, the office and maintenance staff are easy to deal with and do a great job of keeping things nice and making timely repairs, they seem to make an effort to keep the place up and not let it run down (unlike our previous landlord). The onsite basketball court and playground are great and we use them often, we also have a small grass fenced-in backyard where we can hang out and barbecue and the rent is ridiculously cheap for what you get. When we looked for a place to rent this was easily the nicest location in Jerome and even Twin Falls that we found, I'm glad we decided to move out here even though we both work in Twin, it's worth the short drive.

I have lived here for over 3 years now. It is a family oriented property. I feel very safe being a single mom with kids. Office staff is easy to talk with, Elizabeth & Tracy are great to deal with. The property is clean. Even though they have unit inspections, I like that because it keeps everyone clean, bug & pest free. I really like it here. Feels like I have my own home, but in a safe and clean environment.
It is nice to see towns getting places like this for people to live with a limited income. Especially with the way times are now...
