Property Ratings at The Oaks of Wellington - 55 & Older Senior
When I first found The Oaks of Wellington online (back when I moved here four years ago), I figured it looked too good to be true, but the reality is that it's been even better. The building and property are clean, quiet, well-maintained, the management is friendly and attentive, and there are activities throughout the month where you can exercise, get to know your neighbors, or just have fun (not to mention have cake at the monthly birthday celebration and potluck or management-provided food at other regular events) But don't worry, there's no pressure to participate--you can be as social, or not, as you want. Even outside of events, there's almost always someone around to say hi to or chat with (since most people here are retired), especially in the library, where someone generally has a jigsaw puzzle or two in progress (or is looking at the books or using the computers.) One of my favorite parts though is the pool--which would look at home in a luxury hotel--the room and water are always warm, and a lot of the time you have it all to yourself! The neighborhood is quiet and safe but, for an extra sense of security (since I wasn't used to living in an apartment) I like that it's a secure building. And the location couldn't be better. There's a supermarket, restaurants, and even a branch library within a half a mile--and the gorgeous little historic downtown is just about 1 1/2 miles away (it's also where you can catch the train.) All in all, I really recommend checking it out. I couldn't have been happier with the place.
Excellent place to live. Management outstanding.. Residents are awesome. Best place for 55+ to live.
