The Miccosukee Greenway neighborhood starts on the northeast of Downtown Tallahassee, near the intersection of Miccosukee Road and Magnolia Street, and extends northeast along Miccosukee Road. It is named for (and includes) the very popular Miccosukee Greenway, a 12.3-mile trail used for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and jogging. Historic Miccosukee Road is considered one of the city's most beautiful, offering a canopied stretch of natural beauty alongside the trail and park space.
Miccosukee Greenway is a large area that consists of several small communities, including Brewster Estates, Lafayette Oaks, Arvah Branch, and Hillwood. The neighborhood changes from one end to the other; closer to downtown near Magnolia Drive, it is much more urban influenced with large office buildings, shops and restaurants, and the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Property Ratings at The Oasis at 1800
Really have enjoyed my time living at oasis. The leasing staff has been great with communication and I’ve had zero issues since moving in

Hello there, thank you for taking the time to share your experience; we appreciate your feedback! If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help!
Note: You will likely see the contents of this review on other review platforms. Looking at the Oasis rent prices, I was concerned about the cost of staying here until I did the math. I previously stayed at FAMU village so I added the cost of staying there with the mandatory meal plan. The amount FAMU charged for staying on campus was well above the cost of rent, utilities, and rental furniture (if you need it) for staying at the Oasis. Factoring in groceries and necessary expenses, I am still saving a significant amount compared to my on-campus living expenses. If you do not have a car, there is a bus stop right across the street from the commons. To get on campus, it will require one transfer for a total commute of around 1 hour. The area is pretty safe, and the apartments are family friendly. Moving in, the staff in the leasing office are very friendly. Georges in particular helped me through every step of the process, from conducting my initial tour to handing me my welcome basket on move-in day. The maintenance staff are nice as well and will fill you in on the current steps of any requests if you ask. The only downsides I have encountered is that you should not expect your place to be spotless on move in. It will be fairly clean in general and (I believe) they shampoo the carpets as well, but you will need to dust your fans, sanitize your cabinets, drawers and appliances, and clean your sinks and tubs. As I said, they do a general cleaning, but you will have to look around to see what would require extra attention before use. Overall, staying here is a pleasant experience. I would recommend this to anyone who has difficulty finding student housing and needs a safe and reasonably priced alternative.

I enjoyed my stay at Oasis and highly recommend it. The community is relatively super quiet and in a great location. Between office and maintenance, everyone is super helpful. I can’t remember the pregnant girls name that works in the office but I wish her the best of luck. She is sweet!

I toured The Oasis searching for a three bedroom apartment. I was very impressed with the model and with the staff who helped me. This complex is tucked away and really feels private, yet is close to everything I needed. While there were not any units available at the time I initially toured, I was able to go onto a waiting list and the staff kept me in the loop on upcoming available units and were a pleasure to work with. I love the pool area, dog park and amenities they have to offer. Gabrielle was wonderful and I was very impressed with the management as well!

So far my experience at the Oasis at 1800 has been fantastic! The maintenance team was great in helping me move in a few of my heavier items as it was just myself. Special shout out to DJ and Brennan! Great team, super professional. They made my stressful moving day seamless. Thank you!

The Oasis is super close to Capital Circle, in which you can get to so many places easily such as Tom Brown Park, Fallchase Movie Theaters, Costco, Publix, and the hospital is right around the corner. Midtown/Downtown is only a 10 min drive. I love it here! Maintenance is quick and staff is friendly.

Keep out. New manager is very aggressive, they have no respect to you. All you get for your money - dirty walkways, drunk abusive neighbors, dirty pool (each visit you get rash) and overfilled parking lot. This apartments was acceptable with Nick, but not with a new office lady policy. When you ask for notice that you don't want to stay for the next year they will hire for a week and then drop under your door a notice that they are not approve you for the next year. Keep out of this place.
I've lived here for about eight months, and I can't wait to move out. Something is always, always, always broken. If the AC isn't broken the kitchen sink is leaking. If the shower isn't broken, then the cabinets are falling apart. The same problems come up over and over without there ever being a permanent solution. It's true that the people are pretty nice, but it's just not worth all the trouble

STAY AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!! I have had two hit and runs on my car in the parking lot of the complex I'm suppose to call home. The second one costing $2,000 in repair. The management did not care and was of no help. If you care about your car or the protection of your property avoid this place.

My husband and I decided to move here based on all of the great reviews. What a mistake! We have had nothing but problems since the day we moved in. The apartments have been completely renovated and they look great, but it was cheaply done. So many things have had to be replaced. Our AC was not working properly and it took over a month for it to get repaired. The sensors controlling the lights and fans in the bedrooms keep breaking. Each time this happens it takes a week for it to be replaced leaving us with no lights. There have also been numerous water leaks. All of the problems with the apartment could be overlooked, but the low-class clientele and extremely loud music from cars at all hours make this impossible.

My sister and I moved here from a bad student housing situation and we couldn’t have found a better place! It’s affordable and beautiful, inside and out! The staff (Sam, Nick, and Jenny) are SO caring and friendly!! I have 2 dogs and foster dogs and they always welcome the pups into the club house for some treats and pets!! If you ever have any problems it’s fixed the same day with no hesitation, and of course they’re the friendliest people around too! If you’re looking for a nice place to enjoy a peaceful life, move here! You won’t regret it!

Who could forget Caleb, Tom, Brandon, and Frederick? These guys are always helpful. They are super handy and dependable. They repair worn out parts of the apartment with excellence and replace items with new materials. Their unselfish service is one of the main reasons why living in Oasis is amazing! --Ben

I just moved in here to a 2 bedroom and am so happy. The apartment was clean and everything brand new at move in. I feel like I am getting a good deal, and I love using the pool and gym at the clubhouse. The staff has been so nice to me. I accidentally put dish soap in my dishwasher and the maintenance guy who came over right away was so nice and understanding. I don’t normally write reviews but I used this site to find the oasis so I thought I’d share my experience. Haven’t had any pest issues, neighbors have been SO welcoming, and I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a quiet, safe, and comfortable place to call home.

This has to be THE best apartment complex that I’ve ever stayed in. I stumbled upon The Oasis at 1800 when I needed an apartment fast and for a short-term lease. The office staff are phenomenal, the maintenance team is polite and responsive. They all especially welcome my fur baby and give her love and treats in the office daily! They also work hard to create fun activities to bring residents together, including a book club, raffle contests, holiday treats and a monthly newsletter. The amenities and property are kept up well and it’s a safe, clean and quiet place to live that is close to everything. Such a fun complex and I am truly sad to move.

My job had recently relocated me to Tallahassee on short term notice. I had two weeks to find a place! The Oasis had a quick and easy application process and had me all set up ready to move a week before I needed to be here! The customer service provide by the staff was second to none. I had a lot of concerns and questions when moving here but they made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I would 100% recommend The Oasis at 1800 to anyone looking for a great new home.
The bad: 1) The lease is airtight and they won’t let you out for any reason. There is one out: but it is attached to a $2100 early exit penalty. Sublease? Forget it. My upstairs neighbors used their apartment as a gym at all hours. Too bad for me. Have asthma? Cigarette smoke seeps in from other apartments.. your health is not their concern and you get to pay the exit penalty to leave early: $2100 2) The pictures look pretty, but the place is old and undergoing constant renovation. If you like endless machine noise, workers shouting up and down the stairwells and halls, and construction workers inappropriately eyeballing the ladies, this is your place. 3) The apartment design is lacking; the builders cut every corner they could. The living room is not big enough to accommodate full-size living room furniture, and the solarium is tiny. If you are one person, it works marginally, but for 2 people, it’s cramped. Floors and countertops are vinyl, appliances and fixtures are cheap, the bathroom is plastic over old tile. Pull string lights in the closets, and super low ceilings in the bathrooms to accommodate the air conditioning ducts. The HVAC unit is located in the living room wall; might as well have a window unit blaring. Also, the air conditioning vent blows straight at the oven flame. 2 bedrooms? The second bedroom is too small for a queen bed and dresser. Pool is chronically dirty. People don’t stay. Needless to say, I’m not either. The good: People who live here are mostly nice. The maintenance people are prompt and mostly cordial. I haven’t heard any gun-shots, or seen any police.
I lived at The Oasis for two years and never had any issues. The staff were very nice and the apartment itself is very spacious. These apartments are in a great location Publix, cvs/Walgreens, Walmart, and a bunch of restaurants are located less than 5 min away. I have never had an issue with maintenance or pest control. I've recently moved but would've stayed if I wasn't moving out of state.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! The upstairs tenet above me is obese and she tries to exercise and makes the floor and ceiling fan light shake. In addition there is a serious roach problem here. Although the exterminator comes out the roaches don't leave. I don't believe the exterminators are doing adequate job and I believe the rental office does not care. Some of the staff at the rental office is it rude and snotty. The maintenance staff is the worst. They don't know how to fix anything. They always have to come back to fix the same thing twice.
The worst place ever experienced in the past 20 years. They do not care about residents and violate the lease agreement; their altitude makes the mis-functioning door lock a relatively minor issue. Many repeated and ongoing issues, and no improvement after communicating with them for over a month. Regretting so much since the third week I moved in. Won't recommend this place to anybody. Will provide more details later.
I would not recommend this apartment to anybody. There is high staff turnover, the apartment building is literally falling apart (leaks, cabinets, fans, etc.) and they do not care about the residents. They say they will be helpful but how can that be so when there is always a new person and they have no idea who you are. If you have a maintenance request you can expect it to take a while to be fixed completely. Additionally, the trash situation is disgusting. I am not sure if the compactor breaks every week or what the problem is, but it piles up onto the road and is a sight you have to see every time you leave the complex. My advice would be to keep looking, the price is way to high for the quality you receive.
The staff is very professional and kind. I was going to be late on my rent and they were so kind and professional, they did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. The move-in process was so smooth and easy, and I didn't have to clean anything upon move-in (of course the place was literally just remodeled). The apartments are really big and spacious, with all new stainless-steel appliances. The only thing I can complain about is that since they're so new, they're having trouble getting dependable pest control, and there's been a lot of crime in the area and I wish that they would amp-up security for the time being. And it's pretty unfortunate that it's so far from campus, for the price, but it's not student housing and I was willing to pay anything to deal with professional people.
This is a great place to live. The apartments are newly renovated and very spacious. The common areas are well maintained and the staff is very welcoming and helpful . Close to everything, yet very quiet and family and pet friendly. The perfect place to call home.
We picked The Oasis because of the price point, the updates, and the location. It is in a decent part of town with a pretty good elementary school, and my husband can walk to work. We love the apartment updates: stainless appliances, wood looking vinyl flooring, ceiling fans, and updated doors/fixtures. Most of our interactions with the leasing staff (pre-move in) were over the phone and email, and we were very impressed with their responsiveness, professionalism, and friendly dispositions. Our move-in experience, however, was not as pleasant. I will say, that the staff was responsive to our requests and apologetic of the condition of our apartment upon move-in. The unit had not been properly cleaned, the front door lock didn't function properly, they forgot to hook the stove up to the gas line, etc. Overall, I would say the pros & cons cancel each other out making this the right move for our family at this point in time. And the pool is stunning!
I love everything thing about the oasis the apartments are nice it's roomy just what i was looking for but at this time the rent is not in my budget. I would love to live here my kids love it to but maybe next time just not now
