Residents of Uptown Atlantic City live just a little bit off the tourist path with close proximity to hospitality establishments. Of course, Atlantic City has fabulous restaurants, casinos, and pubs, but the locals know that this neighborhood's real attraction is the great outdoors. Besides the beautiful beaches, Uptown also has the Historic Gardener's Basin, a protected area by the back bays, that offers fishing, shopping, and boating for lazy Sunday afternoons. Many locals of all ages also utilize the Uptown School Complex for recreation such as basketball and indoor swimming, especially during the winter months.
Residents can reach the boardwalk by walking from Uptown, but the Jitney Bus also swings through the neighborhood regularly. For those looking to get to Philadelphia or other shore points, the New Jersey Transit provides convenient public transportation. Housing in this area consists of apartments and single-family homes for rent.

Property Ratings at The Ocean at 101 Boardwalk
Service Elevator which handles over 300 people has been out of service for 3 Months! Maintenance is woefully inadequate. Building is completely run down..Garage door left wide open for anyone to wander into and a garage you pay an additional $100.00 per month for...Loud bangs in hallways by Maintenance staff using shopping carts . All hours 7 days per week.

We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your experience at the Ocean at 101 Boardwalk. We are always available to our residents if you would like to come down and speak with us. 1. we have 3 washers down at the moment - parts have been ordered and we are waiting for them to come in to be installed. They are brand new washers, so the parts should not take too long. 2. Truth is we have one elevator down, we are waiting on a new control board that was engineered and manufactured just for our building. The hold up now are the installation diagrams the contractor needs to install this board. We have been assured that they will be completed soon, so we can get Elevator #2 up and running. 3. Doors are not to be left open - if you see that another tenant turned the door off, please advise the Concierge on duty so that they may immediately to turn it back on. We are searching for a small lock box that will stop this nonsense. While we have monthly service to all of these machines, we are not in control of when they decide to break down. The outside ground door is being replaced as that is no longer working, however they have to build that to this buildings specs and it takes 10-12 weeks to do so. You should see that installed within a few weeks from now. Any other questions or concerns, please come and speak with us.
Pros: 1. Utilities are included 2. Convenience store on the 1st floor 3. Right on the boardwalk/Close to Ocean Casino Cons 1. Very limited washer and dryers/each floor does not have a fully equipped laundry room 2. No Gym 3. You have to pay to park outside right in front of the building and to park in the garage is even more expensive 4. Surveillance cameras CAN NOT play back camera footage, so if something happens to you or your car- you're screwed! 5. Carpets in the hallway do not get deep cleaned. There is not enough staff to consistently keep the building clean. Scummy and rusty elevator walls, dirty floors, etc. 6. Complaints or concerns constantly get brushed off by the property managers. There is always an excuse for everything. I wish there was more action, less talk. 7. Weird and smelly residents 8 The Front Desk security is not the best 9 No rent adjustments for times we go weeks without heat/air conditioning. We don't get compensated for the countless inconveniences, but I guess that's not my shot to call 10. Very thin walls so you can hear what your neighbor is saying/doing 11. Some apartments are renovated, others aren't. I have carpet in my bathroom! I could write a cons list up to 100 if I wanted to. Before you think about moving here, please look elsewhere. Let the Ocean at 101 be your very LAST LAST option.
