As one of the last of the six historic Houston wards, the Sixth Ward neighborhood maintains old-time charm but embraces contemporary lifestyles. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978, the Sixth Ward has the largest amount of Victorian houses in the city. There are industrial-chic high-rise apartments and modern townhomes available for rent as well.
Today, the neighborhood is known for its trendy local-roast coffee shops, indie artist studios and galleries, craft breweries, low-key cocktail bars, and diverse eateries with colorful, whimsical murals on the sides of buildings. I highly recommend living at The Oliver. The apartment complex is nearly new, with all amenities in excellent condition, and the area feels very safe. I like training in the gym with the downtown skyline as a view. I want to give special thanks to Bert from the leasing office. He provided a thorough tour, answered all my questions, and made the leasing process seamless. On my move-in day, Bert went above and beyond, ensuring I was well accommodated by reserving the elevator and loading dock. His support and welcoming attitude made my transition smooth and enjoyable. If you are wondering about the train noise, you can barely hear it, it’s impressively quiet.

I’ve been at the Oliver for over a year now. I love the apartment and all the amenities offered. The very few times anything has come up the management team has resolved it very quickly and professionally. The maintenance team is great as well. By far this has been my favorite apartment complex I’ve lived in so far.

We moved in exactly 1 month ago. Usually there are pro's & cons to every-building. I can honestly say it has been all pro's here. The management was more than helpful going above and beyond to make sure we were able to secure the exact floor plan we wanted. The move in was seamless. The building is very clean, including the dog-park (Maintenance cleans it every morning). Elevators are also always clean and in working order as well. Another big plus is all the food and shopping options around you. It makes it where you could really walk to get anything you need. Yes, the building sits next to the railroad track. For us it has not been a problem.. Our unit is as close as you can get to train-tracks and it's really not that loud. Sure you hear it, but it becomes white noise pretty quickly and I honestly enjoy watching the trains come by.. All & all, I am more than happy with my experience at The Oliver. We greatly appreciate Sam & Norma on the leasing team!

I love living here at the Oliver. They are one of the few properties that offer concrete floors which drew me to this spot. I love my floor plan with plenty of windows. The staff is friendly and the property is kept very clean.

Great apartment! The agents are top-notch and help with any issues. The community is really friendly. Anytime I bump into my neighbors on the elevators pr by the pool everyone has been very welcoming and approachable. I’m so happy with my decision to move here!

I’ve only lived here for 3 weeks & I love it so far! The complex is kept very clean & the staff is super responsive. They make everything convenient from applying, to getting maintenance done, to paying rent. The amenities are great & very quiet/relaxing as well! Would definitely recommend!

Would not rent here. Rude leasing employees who do not care to resolve of fix issues and instead give attitude and refuse to assist you in emergencies or in general. They do not provide needed resources to successfully live and move about the community in addition to the slow and consistent on and off working Wi-Fi that is supposedly suppose to be the “fastest” when it is in deed NOT.

Would not recommend to anyone. They never answer leasing office phone, are rude, give attitude and dismissive when they do, and have faulty maintenance system and communication within the property. Gate is always broken and I’ve only lived here four days.
