Property Ratings at The Pad on Harvard
Been staying here for a year and a half and I love it. Me and my kids feel safe here. & being able to see the planes come in is a plus. I like how everyone stays to themselves. & it’s not easy to access building as well
Lived here for 3 years. I will say this is a beautiful place to live. The community is beautiful. There are neighbors who love the community enough to help care for it. I will miss The Pad because of it. This is a great place for anyone who needs to be close to the airport. The location is great for Airport Workers. You do not hear the airplanes for it to be so close. The Marta station is abutting to these apartments. They have Google Fiber, which is amazing! That’s the good. If you like consistency, do not move here. This community cannot keep a management team nor keep a manager longer than 6 months. I went through 3 management teams and 7 managers in my 3 years time. There was nothing wrong with the managers. The managers did the best they could in the little times they were there. The Owner is the problem. He does not allow the managers to do their jobs. I want to thank Julian, Trevor, Mario, Tracey, D’tra, Kaylee and Dashonna for being the best managers/assistant managers this property could have. You did everything you Could to keep everyone as happy as possible. Also thank you to the Leasing Agents who helped keep The Pad afloat as well.
I would say the Pad is the perfect place for first time renters. Rent is affordable even for pet owners. The amenities they have are very accommodating. My move in process was fast and hassle-free. Management is super friendly. This would be a 5 star review if my apartment had windows that opened.
Ok, the location is great for what I need but too many people living here who aren’t on the lease. Doors and gates are propped open for people to get in because they are living here but don’t have keys since they aren’t on the lease. Also, cars have been broken into and windows smashed in and nothing from the property management company to the residents about a crime problem. Furthermore the halls reek of marijuana and cigarette smoke even though the building is supposedly smoke free
It is a decent place to live in a very good location for the airport.
The promises of paving back parking lot, vandalized and burglarized cars on property and unclear water bill cause distrust.
I mentioned to the manager that I felt like eye level signs should be placed at each parking spot and the manager indicated that the owner was not willing to do that.
Things were promised to me when I initially moved in and once I completely moved in those promises weren't met.
Management makes no effort to enforce non smoking policy. Don’t be surprised if your job drug tests you cause your clothes smell like cigarette smoke & pot. Parking sucks. City of College Park overcharges for power. Stagnant water in the so called pool they’ve been attempting to build attracts insects. Hallways & elevators smell like pets & pet urine. Windows don’t open so there’s no way to let fresh air in unless you open patio doors. Walls & ceilings are too thin. You can hear your neighbors conversations as they stomp across the floor. Overpriced for the area and not worth it.
I have been thoroughly disappointed with my experience here. Unfortunately, there are numerous areas that are lacking here. I’m able to hear person yawn and talk through the walls. The floors are not padded it all leaving you to hear loud walking from above. The parking lot has been in construction for months leaving many residents to park in the visitors’ lot and not use the gated parking lot that is the part of the rent. The pool has been in repair for over a year with no indication when it will be completed. The one bright spot is the response by maintenance to make any repairs. When they are alerted, they come quickly and repair most situations in less than 48 hours. The management is responsive, but it would be helpful if we were made aware of the changes that hopefully will come to this complex. If anyone is interested in coming here, please ask other residents about their experience for making your decision.
For a new building it appears very nice, but once your inside there is constant issues with access for you and your guests a pool that has no privacy fence and has been full of stagnant water since they started construction back in September of 2017. Not enough parking as the extended parking lot was supposed to be completed back in January.... it’s still a dirt patch and not secure. You have people coming and going from the Marta station who aren’t afraid to approach you at night. They also try to sneak in. Apartment windows don’t open and now there’s roaches. You may also be in luck to step in a pet leaving in the elevator or enjoy the urine aroma as you walk through the halls. Due to the lack of ventilation don’t be surprised if you suddenly smell melded, mold, or the best weed coming through your vents. There is great sound proofing for the airplanes overhead but none for the inside. ANYOne with a dog you will hear at all hours barking as people come and go. Overall the worst experience I’ve had. Not an ideal place for anyone who is a flight attendant or pilot. You will not get rest and get tested for drugs due to the lingering marijuana smell on your uniforms
