Everyone complaining on here must be infants and unable to be responsible adults. The place is clean and well managed. Every issue I have had has been promptly handled and with a professional attitude. It's refreshing to have such a pleasent experience with the front office staff. 5 Stars in my book. - Grizz

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review. We truly appreciate you. On behalf of myself and the team, we are so happy that you are enjoying your experience with us! It has been a pleasure serving you and we look forward to more great experiences at The Palisades in Paradise Valley
The property itself is nice, but the management sucks. They kept my lost drivers license at the front office and never contacted me EVEN THOUGH I LIVE HERE and it was left at the lease signing. It is also a bottomless pit of fees and fines. You don't even know that you owe anything and they have already charged you a late fee. Amenities that are included in rent are often closed with no explanation and for days at a time. Basically they treat you like a peasant even though the rent is not cheap. I WOULD NEVER HAVE MOVED HERE IF I HAD KNOWN HOW BAD MANAGEMENT IS. STAY AWAY!!!!

Dear Merilyn – Thank you for taking the time to review The Palisades. We are sorry to hear that you are not happy living here. In regard to your ID that you lost on the property, I emailed you on 10/19/22 at 10:01 am to let you know we had it in the office. Rent is due on the 1st of the month and the late fee schedule is listed on the first page of your apartment lease contract. Amenities are not included in your monthly rent. We have three pools at The Palisades. Over the course of last year, we conducted renovations on the pools and closed them down one at a time. However, two pools were always available for resident use. All renovations are currently complete, and all pools are open and available for resident use. We also have a fitness center, cyber lounge, game room, tennis court, dog park, and playground on the property that have not been closed and are available for resident use. We try our best to provide great service with the understanding that we can’t always make everyone happy. If you wish to discuss anything further, please contact me at the leasing office at 602-494-1100. Thank you, Apartment Manager
The apartment walls are very thin and you can hear every noise your neighbor is making. Vacuuming at 2am, closing drawers, sneezing, these are just a few. Management's take on the matter "It's apartment living". Cockroaches crawl out of the drains. Pest control is here every month for either crickets, cockroaches or scorpions. I have never been more uncomfortable in an apartment, than I am here. Truly don't waste your time here, you won't be happy.

I moved from England to Phoenix 4 weeks ago and moved straight to this apartment complex. This place has everything you need to live a good life. They look after the grass and the whole complex very well. The office team are very friendly and Macy has been helping us throughout the whole moving in. We had some mattress being delivered to the front of our apartment before our arrival to USA and when we called the office and asked if they could put the mattress inside the apartment they helped without hesitation. Most people that live here are lovely. Pest control comes every other week on our request. The whole area is very clean and tidy. It is near most shops (Walmart, Costco, TJMaxx, Target, kids swimming lessons, nursery etc). It’s beside a park with a basketball court. So location is great. As no place is 100% perfect, there is a downside. So, the floor doesn’t have a good insulation and therefore we can hear every step of the neighbours upstairs. And so the neighbours downstairs can hear us walking and my 3 years old boy running around the house. Well, this does not bother me much. In the end of the day, you have to put on a scale and balance the good and the bad. So far, I can say this place is perfect for us.
We have been here for 1 year 2 months. Personally had no problems with bugs in general, at the most i have seen a cricket. Every time maintenance was called they responded quickly. Really enjoyed the place.
I don't normally give reviews because most people use them to complain about normal things you have in apartment living. I am doing this to help someone not have the experience and expense we did. The gated community never has the gates closed at night which resulted in our car and several others being broken into. We filed a police report and the office gave us grief because of it. We also were infested with many types of bugs including bed bugs. We should have known better since there was an extermination truck that "specializes" in bed bugs at one of the apartments across the building from us. They also charges us upon move out for new floors and paint. I know, you probably think well what did you do? Nothing! There was nothing wrong with walls that required them to be painted and the flooring had nothing wrong with it either. I had heard from our other neighbors when they were leaving that were being charged a lot of money for repairs as well. Fair warning!!!! Don't rent here!!
Where do I begin? I would never recommend even to a stranger moving into these apartments. The staff are not helpful, my apartment was disgusting and dirty after they had plumbers come replace the piping which in turn they made me move out of my apartment for a whole week and asked me to board my dog and to stay with a friend, they have no grace period on late rent which I was late just once and they charged me $50, the neighborhood isn’t safe they have theft weekly, the gates don’t work 99% of the time, they charged me a vacate early fee of $139 which makes no sense because I did move out early by 2 months because I hated this place so much but I paid rent on the first of every month up until my lease was complete. They NEVER mentioned a early vacate fee. I will never rent here again and never recommend it for anyone. I paid a cleaning fee at the beginning of my lease and they told me I could leave everything as is and would not be charged. I did clean the apartment thoroughly hoping for my deposit back and they are charging me. I’m very disgusted with management and this place as a whole. Don’t move here! There are so many options available and this place is a crock.
We stayed in palisades for lease duration of 6 months. Here is our overall experience: 1. When we booked the apt before a month of moving in, we were told that the fitness center will be ready in a month. But the fitness center never opened till our lease ended i.e. on Aug 10th 2017. Everytime if you enquire about when it will be ready, they will give a random next month date and an explanation. 2. For lease duration of 6 months of the smallest 1 bedroom apt, we hardly stayed for around 4 and a half months as we were out of Phoenix. When we moved out, came the shocking move-out charges. $600!!!! 3. I personally went to the leasing office to ask about the explanation of charges. They will say the account is handled by Tyra and she is in Texas. So get in touch with her. I called and dropped a voicemail mail for call back. No response. I dropped an email asking for the explanation. And after couple of follow ups and after around 10 days, got an reply from her that there is some cleaning charges/carpet cleaning/paint. I dropped an email again seeking an explanation on those charges. Again, after couple of follow ups , I got an reply after around 10 days. 4. Half a grand charges are AC duct cleaning/painting and the charges are because of cooking odor!! YES , cooking odor! For those duration of 4 months, we hardly cooked as most of the time we bacelors don't cook and bring ToGo boxes from outside. I tried to get an explanation on the charges, but I got an reply the odor was evident to staff members who visited our apt but mind you account resolution is done in TX. 5. In our move in sheet, we clearly mentioned that there are some paint peeling off, I thought it should be taken care during move out. But the reason they charged us for painting was because of cooking odor. What they do is, You cannot produce a proof of an odor, so let's charge our residents on that and mention "Lease agreement". 6. FYI, (to reason how clean was our apt) I stayed for 14months in another 3 bedroom apt in Phoenix, but we were not charged even a penny on move out! Wow! And here we got a bill of $600 for 6months(read 4 months) for the smallest 1 bedroom apt. 7. Also if the management decides to reply on my post or they seriously want to look in to the problem, please get in touch with your account resolution specialist/staff members who checked our apt on move out before replying to me! Thank you! Good luck!
I lived in this apartment complex in 2014, right out of college. It looks a lot better online than it actually is in person. I actually registered with apartments.com just to write this review, and hopefully prevent some people from making the same mistake I did by living here. At the time, it seemed like a good fit with the complex being close to my place of work, but I was stung by a scorpion in my own apartment and in my own bed at this location. This is something I will never forget. Management made jokes about the scorpion sting, which really pissed me off. An exterminator eventually came out and sprayed down my whole apartment, but I just felt like this complex cared about nothing more than getting that rent check from me. I was paying around $750 a month for a one bedroom back then, but I have noticed that the prices have even gone up. If I were looking for an apartment in the Phoenix area, I would look elsewhere. Just my opinion!
Over Priced, Paying for Gated Community, But gates never Closed. Some of the Staff is Very Rude, Apartments are old, Utilities/APS bills are very high as windows are not sealed, And Air conditioners are very old and inefficient, Condensation and moisture/mold on windows. Pool closed on Holiday Weekends, Then they charge you for everything upon moving out.
The Palisades is a wonderful place to live. I have friends in my community and I see others have strong connections here too. It is community based which is nice; sometimes in these settings people aren't neighborly. The staff has always been easy to approach and easy to work with, mostly. The landscape is maintained and the pools always look pristine. I enjoy living here. My son has friends here; there are many families who live in the community. My home is a blessing -
apartment has lots of room, floors and paint is great, very large rooms, if maintenance is needed the get on it very quickly, staff is always very helpful and kind. entire complex is in great shape and they keep it that way, parking is good, rent is reasonable, great location i would recommend it to anyone
I have been living in this apartment for 7yrs now, love the place, very well kept nice people except the few in the office, it is close to every thing u can think of, the only thing that i dont like is, i think the apartment is a little pricy for the living space beside that an awesome place to live...
The apartments look great, from the outside. Nice paint thats usually re done every 2 years or so it seems. Plants, trees, bushes are all maintained pretty well. The inside of the apartments on the other hand, seem to be out dated. I have been a resident of these apartments for almost three years and i cant even tell you how many times we have had to call maintinence for something that breaks or an appliance that needs fixing. Whether it be the ac/heater, microwave, refrigerator, washer/dryer, fans, closest/storage drawers, its all been a problem and its all had to be fixed more than once, which brings me to my last problem. The maintance guys that work here are lazy. Our microwave was broken for 5 months. 5 months, over 10 phones calls to the front office to ask when itd get fixed, and finally i had to stop one of them myself and request that they fix it immidiatly. And only then did they come and fix it.
Of he multiple apartment homes in the beautiful Paradise Valley in Phoenix The Palisades were my favorite. To add to the already great location there is a beautiful park right across the street. The service has been great and they have been quick to answer many questions that I had along he process. The layout of my 2 bedroom is beautiful. The vaulted ceilings, partial plank flooring and spacious master bedroom with an attached bathroom are everything I could possibly need.
