Property Ratings at The Palmer
There is nothing good about this place. Dirty filthy. Roach ?? infested. They don't fix anything ever. Black mold. Stay away !!!!!!!!!
I have resided at The Palmers community for 10 years now and have always really enjoyed living here. Recently, under new management The Palmers are making major renovations beautifying the complex. Everything from complete unit remodels, a built-in stone BBQ pit, landscaping and exterior painting. All those things are nice and very ecstatic to the eye, but what I want to focus on is the property management and the office atmosphere. Latosha is the new community manager for The Palmers and she is simply wonderful at what she does. Her professionalism is surpassed by none. Each time I have entered the office, she immediately greeted me and asked me how she could be of assistance to me. The reason I point this out is because it was all genuine. Of course, anyone can offer their help, but it’s always so much appreciated when you can feel the sincerity in the air. I’ve only spoken to her on a few occasions but the warm atmosphere she projects is always prevalent. I’d also like to add that she was able to resolve any request/inquiry in the quickest of speed. She made me feel as though I was the only person in the office requesting assistance even though I wasn’t. She did this for everyone. Thank you, Latosha, for bringing a smile to my face each time I encounter you and double thanks for the respect you and your entire staff offer all the residents each day here at the Palmers! You and your staff are truly a Stars!
The Palmer apartments is a quiet complex, the staff is amazing and helpful!!! When something needs done they get it!!! Would definitely recommend!!!
Property Manager at The Palmer, Responded To This Review
We love to hear from our residence. Thanks for taking the time to share your great feedback with us and the community.
It's quiet and when something breaks, they fix it within a reasonable amount of time. They also keep the pools clean and the Central Phoenix area is great. However, the grounds and landscaping have not been kept up. There are many dead shrubs and trees which look bad. The sprinklers in some areas stopped working months ago and the grass is dead. The quality of the cabinets in the kitchen, and the vinyl floor covering are definitely not "luxury". There is no play area for kids. I've been here over a year and plan to move when my lease is up. The rent increase is definitely not worth it. They are trying to get luxury rents for a mediocre property.
It's just OK. It's quiet and they fix stuff within a reasonable amount of time. I've been living here for over 1 year in a studio. They are raising the rent, and I plan to move when my lease is up. The landscaping on the grounds has been neglected. The grass is dying, and there are many dead bushes and have been that way for months. The quality of the cabinets and counters in the kitchen is just OK - definitely NOT "luxury". The floor covering is cheap vinyl. The dishwasher is old and doesn't clean right. I stopped using it. Also, the laundry room pictured is not our laundry. It's way smaller. On the good side, the pools are kept clean and the Central Phoenix location is nice. They are charging luxury prices for a mediocre property.
I have been an occupant of Daybreak Place Apartments since December 2011 and just wanted to share my great experience for the 1st time. The management/office staff are top notch! Each of the staff members are always courteous, respectful and just plain friendly. Whenever I enter the office for any type of assistance I am immediately greeted with a genuine and warm welcome. I’ve only had to place a couple of minor work orders in the past 7 years residing here at Daybreak and each of them were completed in a very timely and professional manner, never a need for a call back. I also want to acknowledge a few of the top performers in my book for demonstrating the greatest passion in helping to make Daybreak a pleasant home for me. Josefina… I truly believe that she is the nucleus of the great passion demonstrated by her office staff. The awesome service Josefina exhibits is mirrored by her staff, which makes them such a great team. She is very adapt in listening and pays attention to my requests/concerns and then she attends to them in an expedient and appropriate manner. Thank you so much, Josefina! Elizabeth… She has been a part of Josefina’s office team for quite some time and her experience, knowledge, friendliness, willingness to help and humor always compliments my day whenever I see/greet her just in passing. Thank you so much, Liz! Ron… The Jack of All Trades. He is constantly providing general support to all of the residents and always with a smile and a kind word(s). I often see him taking the initiative in helping others with small tasks, just because he happens to see someone in need of assistance. He’s not just a great maintenance man, but an awesome human being. Thank you so much, Ron! Lastly, but not least. The management/owners take a great sense of pride in the upkeep of the grounds and property. Top Notch! Nick
AVOID this place!!! This has been the worst renting experience ever! Currently live here and Josefina will pretend to be nice and get your money with fees and expect you pay everything by rent day. but when it comes down to apartment maintenance or issues she will avoid. she will find ways to get you back and evicted. Currently waiting for and "approval" for emotional support animal. She keeps refusing my rent. Insist I pay fee for animal. DO NOT live here!!! Apartments are dirty and people working do not care! Do not sign lease here!!!! Constantly water stops working! Overall they really don't care about the tenants!
This is a perfect apartment if you want to be close to downtown, without being downtown, close to chopping and the transit. The entire grounds are kept neat and clean and the two pool areas are amazing. The staff if helpful and courteous, and they are amazing when it comes to working with you if needed. It is well priced, especially since it is quiet and the other residence are all amazing. The maintenance staff is very prompt, as well as having extreme amount of knowledge in the maintenance area. We have never had a problem with anyone or anything in our year of living here. We love every minute of it.
I love where I live because it is clean and it is quiet. Everyone in the complex is friendly and always says hi when you see them. I wish more apartments were like this. Plus the staff is so friendly. I have never had a bad experience. Whenever you need something they are always willing to help. When I was moving in the lady in charge of the complex was always in touch with me. She would call to make sure that I was okay and even made some recommendations of companies to use for moving to make things easier. Since this was the first time doing all of this on my own she made the process so easy.
Do Not live here very uninhabitable conditions bed bugs really poor leasing agents very bad landlord. very unsatisfied with my 12 month lease wish we never lived here and very dirty. paid a holding fee for a apartment that was not ready for move in it was trashed disgusting and dangerous. moved from out of state had horrifying experience moving in !
one bedroom, kitchen, small dining area, sink, bath and toilet. nice size closet in bedroom
Managers are very nice until you move out and they add charges that don't belong. Was told this would happen from a previous employee and it did. Upon move out they add trumped-up fees. Even tried to charge me for an old carpet that they told me was going to be replaced upon moving in because of its condition. They never did, assured me they wouldn't charge for it upon moving out, then did anyway. Trying to contact managers to get it straightened out has led only to rude treatment and un-returned phone calls.
