I got approved for a unit from application and was required to pay the deposit. Had a personal issue occur, checked the status online on unit and it stated unit was unavailable in September. Called office in September to cancel unit due to personal reason, unit was still not cleaned, unit was vacant since July. Complex kept my deposit due to me canceling 12-13 before moving date even though unit was not clean or ready to move in. When I contacted the corporate office, I was told they were giving nurses that worked at a certain hospital a discount that other nurses weren’t given. Do NOT pay a deposit unless you ready to move in within that week or two because they will keep it.
I currently live here, And let me tell you, the rent IS NOT CHEAP. I recently bought a new vehicle and need a new parking permit (yellow 10 cent sticker) and when i purchased the new car, i left the old sticker in the trade in, when i called the dealership about it they had already thrown it out. the crooks here at the palms want to charge me 100$ for a new one. they refuse to work with me or negotiate. and because of this my car was towed and cost me 300$. Another thing, if your rent is late by 1 day, even due to a conflict in pay from your work pay schedule, they threaten to file to evict, not a courtesy letter or a reminder, a threat. way to be personable and treat your tenants, palms.
My car was towed during a short visit to a friend who is a long-time resident of this property. I arrived at the apt around 8 pm and upon leaving around 10:30 pm, found out my car was gone and towed by a tow company contracted by the apt. management. How are you supposed to get a visitor permit if the office is closed? I believe they (management) want you to plan ahead of time when you will visit someone living there. There are no assigned parking and there were plenty available parking spots in that particular night. This was my FIRST visit to my friend's apt and the LAST. It cost me $ 296.00 to get my car back. This was ARMED ROBBERY with management's consent as the tow truck driver later admitted that he snicks in the apt after 10:00 pm looking for vehicles with no parking permits. After telling him what an awful way to make a living he replied "I have to support two teenagers at home". It is a shame this property management allow this abusive practice to occur.
Very nice apartments. Be advised that they will tow your visitors' cars even if there are multiple open spaces in the lot. It doesn't matter if the car belongs to a clergyman, if it's a quick visit (in our case), or whether it's an emergency situation like a friend checking on your apartment while you are gone. Time of day or night, or a closed management office does not figure in to this rule and you MUST anticipate that your visitors are coming and have a pass for them displayed in their vehicle. The Palms contract tow company will very quietly and quickly tow the car right outside your window. It's a good drive and at east $300 to get the car back. Be sure and READ the fine print!
The Palms is the best in Midland, Texas and I could not asked for a nicer place to lived. My mom and I looked at several in the area and on first sight; we knew this was the one. The Palms are well kept and a secure living at its finest.

I would like start of by saying that I really enjoy living here. I like in a 2/2 and it has a great floor plan. The kitchen has lots of cabinet space. The only problem is a lot of the shelves are so high up so they are difficult to reach. The pantry is decently sized as well. When I moved in everything was really clean and if I needed something fixed, it was fixed right away. Everyone who works here is super nice and willing to help. The pool is nice to hang out at, plus there is a hot tub. The gym is small but has most of what you need. Also, it is never too crowded. The only thing I would say that kind of sucks about living here is the parking. Sometimes it is hard to find a spot later at night. However, overall I love living here and it is way nicer than most of the apartments in midland.
