Life in Downtown New Orleans is pretty sweet, especially when you reside at the heart of its music culture and food scene. This historic city began in 1718 and went through French rule, Spanish rule, and then back to French rule until it became a U.S. territory from the Louisiana Purchase. These cultural influences can be seen today in French-style cooking or Spanish architecture throughout the French Quarter.
Just like its past, Downtown New Orleans is ever-changing with the resurgence of art galleries, jazz lounges, and restaurants. The community is comprised of many neighborhoods, like the Central Business District. Its business center is made up of large office spaces, the Superdome, and upscale shops at Canal Place.
The oldest, most historic neighborhood in Downtown New Orleans is the French Quarter. In addition to being incredibly haunted, its colorful buildings are home to some of the city’s best nightlife.

Property Ratings at The Paramount at South Market
Best apartment complex I've ever lived in! Christi was an amazing property manager and very attentive if you brought her any issues. The front desk concierge absolutely makes this apartment worth the price – I never worried about packages getting lost, they ensured tenants felt safe 24/7, and went above and beyond to help with groceries or food deliveries if they had the capacity. Since the parking garage was not attached to the building, the front desk would open the back loading dock if needed to assist with bringing in groceries. However street parking was pretty easy to find. The pool is on the smaller side but the outdoor patio was great. The gym has everything you’d want, including cardio machines, a yoga station, an Olympic weight lifting squat rack, and a large range of weights. The property is maintained well. Whenever I entered a workorder, maintenance personnel came the day of or the day after. They make sure the trash rooms are clean and come regularly for pest control. The only complaint I have about my apartment was the sliding doors in the bedrooms, so there was less privacy if you shared the apartment. The kitchen island was amazingly useful and there was soo much storage space, including a huge bathroom linen closet. The central air was well regulated and allowed us to keep our utilities pretty low. Overall the apartment caters to a young professional/ graduate student population so it can get pretty lively. However I’ve never had any issues with noise and all my interactions with fellow tenants were pleasant. Last but not least the location cannot be beat! Having a prime spot allows you to travel easily, either by walking or a quick drive to anywhere in the city, or quickly get on the highway if needed.
I have never felt more at home than I have at The Paramount! You guys don't know living until you live here.
