Property Ratings at Park at Forest Hill
There are things that I love, like the balcony and the location. Then there are things that I hate, most of which have worsened since the new owners took over. Outlets don't work, even though we have then "fixed." All of the outlets have a cheap facing which causes things to easily come unplugged. It took several weeks and a total of 2 visits to get the ac in working order and it still doesn't work properly. One specific tenant feels as though he owns the building and does what he wants, like playing loud music and throwing garbage into the backyard. The new building manager is rarely in the office, which is in direct juxtaposition to the previous manager being there 9-5 M-F. The maintenance staff seem very dismissive of issues and don't even bother to say they have finished, they just walk out leaving you to wonder if they are done or coming back. As much as we had hoped we could settle in, after two years we are moving again.
Just moved in today and me and my daughter is so happy, my neighbors are so friendly and this is such a quiet place to be. I love that the park is just across the street. I can't wait to sledge when the snow comes!!! The office staff was just wonderful
I was scheduled to move in on December 8, 2015. I was excited because it sits right next to my favorite coffee shop Crossroads and across from my favorite park Forest Hills Park. On top of that the price for the one bedroom was definitely unbeatable and model apartment was the size that I was looking for. On my move in day I was allowed to obtain my keys and go into the apartment. That is when everything went downhill I walked into the most foul smelling apartment I've ever been into. I took a look around and noticed that the flooring that held the air unit was coming up in the living room, I walked into the bedroom and found feces in the floor, the area around the wall unit was painted poorly, I walked into the bathroom and it was purely disgusting. The mirror railing was broken, the light fixture was cracked, the toilet had feces in it and toilet seat was dirty, the tub was the most disturbing having black substances in the drain, rusting below the faucet, and tiles were caved in. Mind you this is the day I move in. I went back to the leasing office and showed the pictures of the apartments to the leasing agent and returned the keys. I was told that I could not get my $100 back for the holding of the apartment and part of the security deposit. I was utterly upset and could not believe that no one has checked or cleaned the apartment.
I used to live here in 2006 same floor an my old apartment is across the hall. Things have went down hill since then. I came back in Dec 2014. There are 5 electrical outlets that don't work, two cable outlets don't work, and most of all the doorbell is broken. It does have a few good qualities, it can be quiet at times, the young lady that works in the leasing office is very nice. Not so much the main leasing lady.
