Property Ratings at The Paxton Apartments
I’ve been here for 7/8 years and it’s been a rocky road but new management and new building improvements are up to date now and Yolanda at the front office is very understanding and will work with you. The new front desk employees have great attitudes. They’re very nice! The tenants and neighbors are friendly & neighborly.
Apartment was filthy upon move-in and live and dead roaches throughout the apartment. Visitors must pay $4/day for parking. Gate is only app controlled; there is no gate code access. Office staff and maintenance seem nice, but the apartment unit is NOT renovated as shown in the model unit. Floors are uneven in my “renovated” apartment. Walls are thin. Blinds were broken in my “renovated” apartment. Maintenance simply put new blinds over old ones. I continue to see roaches in the apartment even after pest control came. My dishwasher doesn’t fully open in my “renovated” apartment and has a horrible smell. Paint splatter throughout apartment. Apartment was formerly named “Plum Meadow”. Please review those reviews. They appear to be more accurate. I regret moving here. Update: Still have roaches. There hasn’t been a week that’s gone by that I haven’t seen a bug. They replaced my dishwasher with an older dishwasher that has a horrible smell. I’m afraid to use it. Every week I have to submit a service request for something in this “renovated” apartment. This week it was a leaky faucet, balcony falling apart, and pests. Maintenance is nice, but just paints over cracks and holes and there are countless problems. Management and CEO don’t care and put residents in uninhabitable units.
I scheduled a tour in December and was shown a nice 1 bedroom. I thought this would be an okay place to live. The paperwork provided had typos all throughout it. My room given was horribly painted and the flooring was uneven. The balcony felt wobbly and had major cracks in the cement. I feel like I have been lied to, so I do NOT recommend living here. The apartments are supposed to be renovated, but it looks like they are covering all the major problems instead of fixing them and making those apartments look more livable.
I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a very nice and quiet place to live. Ms. Natasha and Ms. Maria are always very helpful willing to go that extra mile to make sure things are in order. The other ladies in the office are just as wonderful. They are professional caring and down to earth. They are renovating and everything is so nice. When ever I needed Maintenance there was no hesitation they came right on. With all that said, my husband and I are very happy here. Thank you to The Paxton's Staff.
first i never got to do a walk through in the apartment that management was leasing to me. I got my apt keys on Oct 8th, which they stated i would be moving in on Oct 7th. Anyway, when i went into the apartment it was disturbing. I feel like management does not walk through the apartment with the staff to ensure the apartment is clean and ready to be leased. the living conditions are unacceptable and management , maintenance and the people that do the make ready should all be replaced.
The place is horrible and the staff doesn’t care about its tenants . All they do is lie and don’t fix anything . They have the worst attitudes which is weird since they don’t do anything .
1 star is really too much. These are literally the worst apartments I've ever seen/ lived in. The entire backside of the apartments have had their cars and homes broken into in BROAD DAYLIGHT and assistant manager Sophia says there is nothing she can do and we are responsible for our own defense mechanisms. I know another person who lives here that says their move in date was moved three times and when she moved in the place was filled with roaches and they were even on the walls. They lie and say there is 24 hour maintenance when it's not. Our windows were broken due to someone busting them and breaking in and no one came to fix it. Locks were messed up due to someone trying to pick it and kicking our front door in BROAD DAY and they never came to fix it so we couldn't stay there overnight. When asking Sophia questions about viewing camera since our house was EMPTIED (tvs, game systems, shoes, clothes, soundbars) she said I had to get out of her office and she didn't have to speak to me. It's summer and pool isn't open, "park" is under water or filled with dirt most of the time, just don't waste your time period.
The leasing office staff here led me to believe that they rent to tenants who have had evictions in the past, just with an extra depositthat may be required. I paid a $450 deposit, and after submitting my application, I was told they wont rent to anyone with previous evictions. She let me submitt my application, knowing they would not rent to me.. THEY ARE TRUE CON ARTIST!!!!!!
Do not rent at these units until they have replaced staff and maintenance workers orders take forever to complete communication is horrible between staff and the units look nothing like the pictures online completely waste of time
Don't let the remodeling on the outside fool you. Somebody had the bright idea to paint the tub and sinks in the bathroom when you use cleaning products to clean them they peel. The counter tops were never replaced between tenants so previous cut marks are everywhere. The maintenance staff never fix anything just attempts to patch them up. They have the nerve to raise the rent to pay for the outside beautification and they charge community water no matter of much you us. My light bill is less than my water bill.. unheard of.. the same drug dealers have switched apt 4 times after each eviction
