Property Ratings at The Peak at Oro Valley Apartments
Lived here for 2 years, beautiful apartment and management was really good with handling all our questions and getting problems solved
This place always had great management and the apartment are beautiful! Every-time I called about a complaint they fixed it! I loved living here and I would go back if ever needed!
I recently moved from a apartment complex on Ina Rd. and am so glad I decided to look elsewhere and move here. The move was really hard but I am so glad I did it and it was worth it. I love my unit, love the space and the complex. I feel safe here which is important being a single mom. The office staff has been a delight to work with and they took care of my maintenance issues promptly. I have had to use the online maintenance request service and it was convenient. The maintenance staff were friendly and even changed out some things with no hesitation. Also, my last complex was notorious for upcharges and backcharges and I want to point out that Sundown Village / HSL told me they will not backcharge me for my first full month in March. I really appreciate that considering what I dealt with previously. So glad I decided to check this place out and move here!

We look forward to keeping you feeling happy and proud to call Sundown Village home. Thanks again!
Chivalry is really dead here. Ask for common maintenance that is expected when paying such high rent (and water bill now), and be told that you are put on a list. Well that list doesn't exist and they will act confused when you call again after the day your service was supposed to be scheduled has passed.

I recently moved here, and it has been a really disappointing experience. The apartments are in good condition, but don't expect a good response from the office if you have problems with your AC. My AC is definitely not working like it should and my electricity bill is $300 this month because of it. It blows air, but it doesn't cool the apartment. I have it on 24/7 and my apartment is always hot. I have submitted 5 maintenance requests and they haven't fixed it. The first time they told me that is how it's supposed to be because the apartment is old, the second time they claimed they fixed it but it didn't work, the third time they stopped by the apartment to tell me they would fix it the day after and never showed up, the fourth time I didn't even get a call or response from the office, and this last time I got a call from the office and they told me that there's nothing they can do because of how hot it is outside. The office representative told me the AC unit is not meant to cool down the apartment during heat waves, and that it was the same at all other apartment complexes which I know is false because at my old apartment my AC worked perfectly fine and my apartment was freezing cold even when it was 115 degrees outside. Like I said if you are looking to move here expect your AC to be running 24/7, your apartment to be at least at 80 degrees, and your electricity bill to be $200 a month. Really bad experience, and would not recommend to anyone.
I have lived here for 1.5 years. The first year was great any problems i had were fixed quickly. I had a few problems with my ac unite but it eventually ended up getting fixed. I was happy about that. In the last 6 months the place went a little down hill. the old maintenance people got promotions and left this property, the really amazing property manager got a promotion and ended up leaving as well. What we ended up with is a rude manager now. who is never there when you call, but isnt on the property at all either. if you expect this lady to call you back you have to call the corporate office. Thats when you will get her attention. The new maintenance people are ok not at all what the old guys use to be like. there is a lot of faulty items in the apartment, very cheap and tacky items. like the flooring, the shower handle, the toilets are aways growing black mold inside the tank. the tub isnt sealed so you have to work harder cleaning it. a lot of black gunk comes out of side wall when cleaning. parking is horrible. you will always have to fight to even get a parking. they say one spot is included but thats only true for one side of the complex not for the back. my electric bills are cheaper then what i was paying at my pasted location. the internet sucks because the wiring is very old. so like any apartment complex itll either be great of not. for me it was great in the beginning but in the end it sucked.
Great environment, love the friendly people, pools always clean and conveniently placed. Rent is a bit high but is well worth it for the amenities included.
